Is it a stand alone unit? Or, once u have Bluetoothed from the kestrel, can u turn oof the kestrel and then use it by itself? If so, can the environment or direction of fire be changed while not being connected to the kestrel? Thank you!!
Hi WV Hope you're well! No it is not a standalone unit. Any ballistic calculation needs to have the Kestrel involved. While you can load the HUD with data and turn off the Kestrel, you cannot make any changes to the targets at that point without having the Kestrel on and connected. Is there a way to have your wind speed 1 and 2 in the third column of your target card (I can do it separately but want them both so I know a good middle of the road hold for wind that is varying shot to shot)? I have seen pictures of it done but I cannot figure it out how to do it.
We initially intended to have both winds in the third column which is why there were pictures of it while the HUD was in development but there were issues with data overrunning the allotted space and when values got big and we had to pull that.
Is there an indepth video on the HUD? I have several questions about the unit, but all I can find is just basic stuff. I have a 5700 Elite and a HUD.
After connected to Kestrel(5700 Elite Bal.) can i set(change) Target card distances using just HUD?
What is max. bloetooth range?

Yes, on the DOPE Card screen, press the center button, then left or right to change the third column, then the center button again to exit.
