      @kelleeholmes9448 Před 3 lety +16

He is a vocal God, there has yet to be any rock singer that can touch him. Steve Perry's soprano notes are pretty close, but Freddie had an edge on everyone because he could sing any note from almost the bottom of the keyboard to the top with the same poweful vibrato, and didn't need to transion to a higher note by going through them all, he could just jump there with no problems! He sang Rock, swing, the blues, r&b, ....yes even opera. There wasn't a genre this band couldn't do and do it with perfection. I hope you visit some live performances because they were always better live than recorded. They were the opposite of the rest of the bands, the editing equipment actually took from their talent, instead of helping it. And you Have to remember back then, auto tune didnt exist, but Freddie didnt need it, he was a human auto tune, he couldn't give you a bad note if he tried 😂😂😂

No matter how ill Freddie was....the show must go on. And ALWAYS had a smile on his face for his fans no matter how he was feeling. He was actually propped up to the editing desk to sing this because he was to ill to stand. Which is why there is no live version. Brian was worried Freddie wouldn't be able to hit the high notes and offered to re write them lower, but Freddie downed a shot of vodka and said "I'll effin do it darling" and has been said he nailed this song in one take.

Freddie sang it like a dying man passionately declaring that “the show must go on”. You need to check out more Queen songs & their live performances to really appreciate the impact Queen had in rock history. They’re in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame & Song Writer’s Hall of Fame! Voted best live rock band of all time! And one of the top selling artists of all time! Freddie is still the undisputed best vocalist of all time. He can sing any genre of music! And, to fulfill his dreams he wrote an opera album for Montserrat Caballe’ which they both sang on. Unbelievable!! BARCELONA & THE GOLDEN BOY.

Very good , sensitive reaction... Freddie was so passionate because he knew he was going to die and did a months later. When Freddie could no longer write songs (all 3 members wrote #1 hits) he wanted to continue recording for as long as he could and begged Brian to write more songs. This song was written by Brian imagining how Freddie must be feeling going thru the last part of his illness (because Freddie never complained or wanted to talk about it).He downed a shot of votka and did it in one take. Freddie did wear makeup to hide his cancerous lesions on his face and all over his body. He also wore a beard at this time. He did not want his fans to see him like this and therefore no live video of them. But one their last video he decided he wanted to say goodbye to his fans (he tells us he still loves us)and he appeared in rhe video THESE ARE TE DAYS OF OUR LIVES- don't watch it until ,the end of your Queen journey. Awesome reaction! I glad you understand what the song was about, before reacting to it. Queen are the 4th best selling artist of all time. Freddie Mercury had an incredibly powerful voice. His voice was like a force of nature. Actually by this time in his life, close to death, he had lost some of his signature power in his voice. There are many great tenors in popular music, but there are very few, really none today, with real powerful voices.
Freddie sang this in full chest voice, that is lowest and most powerful voice, Dimash uses head voice. It is actually somewhat risky to sing this high in full chest voice, singers like Dimash are taught to use lighter head voice. But because Freddie Mercury had a more powerful voice he could handle the punishment.
You should check out Bohemian Rhapsody czcams.com/video/fJ9rUzIMcZQ/video.html. Freddie Mercury was a genius as songwriter as well, and a good pianist as well.

Love your reaction Broad -- Brian May (guitarist) wrote this song.. "" is a song by the British rock band Queen, featured as the twelfth and final track on their 1991 album . It is credited to Queen, but written mainly by Brian May. The song chronicles the effort of Freddie Mercury continuing to perform despite approaching the end of his life, although his diagnosis with HIV/AIDS had not yet been made public in spite of ongoing media speculation claiming that he was seriously ill.
Mercury was so ill when the band recorded the song in 1990 that May had
concerns as to whether he was physically capable of singing it.
Recalling Mercury's performance, May states; "I said, 'Fred, I don't
know if this is going to be possible to sing.' And he went, 'I'll
fucking do it, darling'-vodka down-and went in and killed it, completely
    lacerated that vocal".

This is a himn, this is soooo much more than just a song. Queen is soooo much moore than just a band and Freddie... Oh, come on you guys! In our schools children learn about Queen, Abba, Beatles, Rolling stones...

One of thr last songs Freddie recorded before he died. He was very sick at the time of singing this, and guitarist Brian May was worried he would not make it through the sessions. He asked Freddie if he could give this song a try before they called it quits. Freddie famously downed a glass of vodka, said "Let's go darling", and nailed the song in one freakin' take.
He died very shortly after this, and this remains his swan song. The lyrics directly speak of his dire situation at the time.

This song has become very popular again now that we are all going through this Covid thing. Musicians, actors and crew are really struggling without being able to perform or record. I have seen several groups singing and recording this song while social distancing in support of one another and to raise money for those in their industries who are suffering without a place to work and perform. Life is difficult without live music and live entertainment for me and I suspect for others who have always felt alive when watching or hearing performers in a live venue. Freddie's voice is magic and this band is always perfect. Every member is at the top of their game every time and their live performances are always outstanding.

Freddie was truly ‘turning the corner’ when he sang this song.. and he knew it. Obviously the reason this was a composite of their videos bc Freddie was so ill they could not do this one live. Please consider listening to Adam Lambert doing this song (with Queen).. he’s the only singer who can match Freddie’s notes without imitating him. And, as many others have said.. the Queen catalog is massive, you won’t be disappointed if you decide to down that rabbit hole!! BTW - you’ve heard his voice a ton of times.. you just don’t know it yet.

This song was on the very last album Queen made with Freddie. He knew, at the time, that his time on earth was short, but, as the song says, "Show Must Go On". He struggled to finish the album because he was so sick. THAT is why no other singer, no matter how great their voice, will be able to top Freddie and Queen on this song. Brian May's guitar work was great, and the song is epic.

this always resonates, for me. in 2006, i was told that i had only a few months to live, at most. there's no cure for emphysema and for a long time, i expected to die any day. i'm still here, though and my show goes on and on. i always love to hear Freddie's singing. nothing like it. thanks for reacting. i've only just discovered your channel. queen is the first British classic rock band you've reacted to. my favourite group [i'm British] is Pink Floyd. you should see them live, as their concerts are mad. my suggestion would be the song, Sorrow, from the PULSE concert. David Gilmour, the lead singer and guitarist, has a beautiful voice and uniquely great guitar solos. check them out. i'm sure you won't be disappointed

Although there have been scientific studies trying to identify why his voice was so amazing, It wasn't just his legendary voice. He was a musical genius and his song Bohemian Rhapsody is one of the greatest songs ever written. Freddie is also generally considered the greatest front man in all of rock music. NO ONE could work an audience like Freddie. At some point you will want to check out Queen's 20 minute set for Live Aid which many consider the greatest live performance of all time.
Queen's concerts were like no other shows and many will tell you to watch the live version of any given song because "Queen is always better live." I will not contradict this, but I do believe you cannot truly appreciate the live version of any Queen song without first hearing the studio version first.
As to Bohemian Rhapsody, Queen never performed the full song live, so that one MUST be the official video and headphones are mandatory.
