Well actually, the dice is pretty thematic. As you're going to fight monsters on the unknown land, uncertainty and risks are always following you.
Being faithful to it's theme is the reason why I will choose this easily over Waterdeep.
That's a personal opinion though.

My complaint of this game is the balance in the characters. I ripped my Swordsmaiden card to shreds, it is a complete piece of useless garbage. It actually angered me to point of fury as every time I saw someone get that card they finished dead last.

Jaime Lannister that's funny. Every time I play this game I got this friend that ALWAYS chooses the "swordsmaiden" and he wins 90% of the time.
