In this video I take look at the all-new AtGames Legends Ultimate Arcade Machine preloaded with 350 games plus it has the ability to easily add your own. Available at Walmart and Sams Club for around $499 is it with it? Is it better than the Arcade 1Up cabinets? Let's find out. This is not my full review video this is an initial first look overview test and my thoughts. Review the video coming up soon.

"proprietary app"... WHY!? Why don't they just let you install something like Moonlight or Steam Link?
Great video and we are glad you enjoy the cab. Please keep the suggestions coming - It's a connected arcade living and breathing we have scheduled regular updates to keep improving.
Do a video on DIG Android frontend please
And also pizza we
@@DenGuleBalje because it's more than just steam streaming. It streams the whole computer like remote access.
I was wondering where the video went when I gota reply early xD
Spinners!! This is the first mainstream consumer product I've seen in modern times that have them. I'm working on a game with spinner controls (even built a controller specifically for it) and was afraid no one would ever get to use them! They really went out of their way to give people a good out of the box experience.
Very good review, especially because you commented on the quality of the joysticks/spinners/trackball. Many reviewers don’t.
I wish this product will come to Europe soon. Its a great all in one Cab, ready to go. If i want to buy a diy wood kit here, I have to spend already 300€ for the cheapest. Vinyl costs 150€, then the controllers/Spinners/Trackball 150€+, Monitor 100€, Retropi 50€.... Sound Speakers and amp, usb/hdmi wires plugs, T-mold... the list goes on. Your time and work not included. So for the price is a great product.
Exactly what I thought. You can mod the crap out of it.
The control panel to me is the coolest feature, spinners and a trackball!
I'd heard a lot of good things about this unit! especially the ability to add your own ROMs to play whatever you want! Seems pretty cool may have to look into getting one one of these days!
I've been looking at getting a home arcade. How ever I'm divided on a home built or commercial machine.
Reviews like this do help to narrow the selection.
I'd like to see Tetris and Fix-It Felix running on the cab. Thanks for the review!
Tetris is a console version according to the game list, so that would be important to see.
I would love to see Killer Instinct and Mortal Kombat II!
subbed and liked, cool features mame game roms add-on, hdmi/usb inputs and connected to wifi to stream steam games is awesome! i think they redeemed themselves with this gem.
Nice honest review. Thank you ETA👏🏽👏🏽
Thanks for diving in and giving us a look. you mentioned that your fav cabinet is the extension by GRS but i didnt see a vid review that you've done of it other than joystick panel, or maybe i just missed it? Echoing what most are saying about this product, its a tempting mixed bag that kinda feels like a gamble yet at the same time the features and ability for connecting to personal collections really pulls me in for considering it. the cabinet artwork is unexciting, is the marquee replaceable? I'm anxious to see the local streaming tests, so that we can see this used for more advanced platforms. Edit: nevermind, I found your extensions can reviews! :)
For the first ever, I'm interested in an AtGames product.

@@adamlee007 Oh how this comment has aged with the introduction of coinopsx. Own one now?
Can you show the accuracy of the emulation, lag, screen ghosting, etc ? Im really curious
Thanks for the video! Looking forward to the next one.
What a crazy time to be alive. AtGames did a thing right.
Every time I watch your video I always ask my... Who in the heck is giving your videos a thumbs down?
I mean really are they just hitting the wrong icon ?
Thanks for the update, champ.
First I'm a big fan of your Channel and I've been looking for arcade cabinet but I got to know will this play Killer Instinct Arcade
Its gonna be my christmas gift.... Thanks ETA
I actually really need this. It’s beyond want at this point
THIS IS ARCADE1up KILLER ! thank god I waited and FYI Black Friday this will be $300-$400 yesssss !!!!! Buying it for sure.
This is super cool. Thanks for reviewing this.
Thanks for the look at this machine. :)
Can u hight compare it to the arcade1ip cabinet with the hight extension attached, I'm still not sure what i should buy
I have both and the 1ups are a joke compared to this. No riser needed. Updateable. Game over for 1up
Pretty nice cabinet. Functionality appears to be good, and price isn't too offensive.
I'd love to see a review of how the Nvidia Shield functions as the brains for an arcade machine. I'm working on building an arcade cabinet right now and my plan is to use a shield to power it, since I'll be able to emulate, run Android games, use Nvidia GeForce NOW and Steam streaming as well.
I still use my version 1 of the Shield console today(wish I would have kept the legacy tablet and fliptop models I had) and it can pretty much handle most of what I throw at it, including some of the harder to emulate games. That tegra GPU really makes a huge difference, especially when you get to the 3d stuff. Using a Sheild seems like an interesting idea for an arcade box. Good luck!
I have a vewlix and had a shield inside for a while. It was pretty good however I replaced it with a cheap ryzen pc to handle some pc games. I never got good performance trying to stream games from my pc to shield over WiFi.
You can use the shield through bluetooth
This cab is a no brainer. Atgames keeps taking community feedback and adding new free features. Possibilities are endless. Don't have to mod anything to accomplish whatever you want. My 1ups have been rendered obsolete
@EMagnificent hahaha, good one.
Too bad it's taking them over 10 years for AtGames to actually take community feedback, their reputation is already long gone. The damage has been done and sadly there's absolutely no way they're regaining any credibility whatsoever.
@EMagnificent Not really, they just took a step in the wrong direction with a few things like having the cabinet be a mini kids size cabinet and only one speaker instead of two stereo speakers. They've listened more completely as they've added better buttons and better screen for the V2 and V3 ones. (I'm unlucky, I've only got one of the V1 ones - street fighter one)
@@Laynel8 Yep, they screwed up on a lot of stuff like the megadrive consoles
@@Laynel8
I won't purchase it. My MAME is sufficient, but this arcade is pretty sweet.
It's never too late to try and redeem yourself..
Great first look. I'd love to see wrestlefest run on it. Its a game thats sometimes a pain to get running proper.
I've got wrestlefest on my Legends
The one game I am most interested in is Tron.
Would you please demo how that plays on this cabinet.
Spinners! Does Tempest work well? I see the Tron logo on the cabinet, but how do you play it without a trigger joystick?
DOH!
Tempest works perfectly. Glenn has a usb tron stick coming
I have had this for about 2 weeks it is really a good machine I was on the fence to. I bought mine at Sam’s and I added about another 100 games thru usb so far. I had to research and a lot of fail and try again with the mames and Roms but they do work well when you find ones that work. I still haven’t figured out how to add Sega, nes, and snes games yet!
Ty I’ll. keep looking
Great Video and thanks for the review!!!
I think i'm just about sold on this unit. Very cool!
My largest complaint with the arcade1up boxes was the width ... this looks like it may be as wide as a full size cab
I want to build on of these in the future and I want to run everything from NES to PS2. What software do you recommend for that? I saw a video about a launcher named Hyperspin, but I don't have much knowledge about this kind of stuff.
Can we get an update on this machine since its been a few months since you got it?
Take your time pulling that heatsink off Boss. Thanks for the video.
Does the control panel have plexiglas overlay on top of it? I noticed from at least the first round of 1-UP cabinets that the graphics would wear off from play.
@ETAprime where do you get real glass bezels? I got a custom made one from escape pod and, while their vinyl art was great, the bezel was poorly made
I would love to see if this can run Cabal with the trackball. I would buy this unit just for that alone.
This is probably the best arcade machine (pre-made) that I've seen so far. I was majorly into building my own stuff... I'd never buy this. But it looks pretty decent for $500. The dual spinners looks a bit iffy.... how many games use dual spinners? Might be a handful but not worth crowding the panel for them. People complaining about the UI... but for a unit like this where people just want to play games it suffices. The hours I've spent tweaking my cabinets to get them perfect in the display UI department. OMG! That's my choice though and most people wouldn't be arsed.
I like your video presentation , can you find out if we can stream from the game console to a bigger tv screen ?
This might be the one easy to add games and not too expensive
Those dials look nice for playing some 720 degrees, just needs a notch on top so I can use a joystick with a bearing mounted knob.
This machine is legit guys. Atgames actually got this one right for the most part
I can't help but wonder if this is an instance of too little too late though. Most are going to see the brand in combination with the price and see it as a gamble.
@@Projectwolfie21 yeah I agree. That's why I felt the need to say it is a legit machine for the price. I was extremely skeptical myself
That can't be right
@SUBZEROUK yes, I agree their genesis/MD products were bad. The arcade machine is alot better than those products though. Which it should be for a 500 dollar price tag
They forgot the coin slots/coin mechs. This is the defining experience of an arcade machine, fumbling for quarters and sticking them in before the continue timer runs out.
Does it have HDMI out and/or streaming from the arcade machine to a PC? What kind of sorting options are there? Cautiously optimistic on this one. Maybe AtGames is trying to do better. Does it run things like Naomi or CPS2 and 3 games well? Also what is the height of this thing in relation to a normal full sized machine?
Really interesting video! One thing I'm super curious about is the HDMI in. I wanna know how it works and how useful it could be. I've seen others connect a Pi to the HDMI in and use the new Bluetooth connectivity to connect the control panel to it. Would that work with, say, a gaming laptop or PC running Big Box? That seems far more sustainable and doable than local game streaming.
Yes it works with a pc and launchbox
How does the 4-way to 8-way joystick toggle in the options work? Have you tried it yet?
RetroRalph has a demonstration on Retropie via different HDMI and controller connected via Bluetooth, are you going to test that as well?
From what site you download your rom’s? my Simpsons and marvel vs capcom doesn’t work.
SO want to get my first arcade cab, have wanted one for a few years but never pulled the trigger. It probably either this or like an arcade1up golden tee cab, which do you think? This worth the time? I'm also kind of tall and when I saw the 1up cab at costco it felt very short to me on the riser.
Also, think you could get Golden tee running on this?
Thanks man, love the channel.
You can absolutely get golden tee running. When it comes to height though it does seem to be a a tiny bit shorter then a arcade1up with a riser.
Can you show off how the in home streaming works?
I'd be really curious to see how streaming something like Launchbox to it would do
Launchbox and everything else in your oc works. I was getting close to 60fps over wifi
can the joystick be changed from 8 way to 4 way easily (or at all) since many games use 4 way controls and don't work with an 8 way very well if at all
weird question but do you have an XArcade option you can plug into this and see if it will work? I have a tankstick and this would interest me if I could plug my Tankstick in with those 2 USB slots for 4-player games like simpsons and turtles
Hello there. Great review. 2 quick Questions. I love Tempest. It needs a good spinner. You said the spinner was great. Did you by any chance try it with tempest ? Last question - I have Mame Roms in an old laptop. If I understand correctly can I put those games on a USB device and play them on this platform? Not sure how that works as with the laptop I had to run Mame in order to see the games within the app. Sorry for pedestrian question. Would love to make it work
think there's a spinner you can upgrade with for about $50 on Amazon, good quality one
Great Video THX!!! Could you please see if Golden Tee works on the unit. I am really interested in this especially if Golden Tee work. Thx
it seems to me that some games the spinner might get in the way of using X and A is this a problem?
I saw one of these on my last trip to Sams not too long ago. Looked interesting but I can't justify spending that amount of money, even for something in a full cabinet. However, for those with that kind of disposable income it looks like a good solution!
Good review. It appears that AtGames have done something right, for which they are to be applauded.
Wouldn’t the lag in the arcadenet make every game unplayable
@@Charmander009 It's certainly a way I would never play. Local files or bust.
I'll just wait for you to come up with a DIY of this
With HDMI in,is there a way to use a Shield TV with their controls/screen?
About time! Lol. You are the explainer in chief. These other guys talk too fast. Can't wait for you to hook up a raspberry pi onto it. I hooked mines up like retro Ralph, by linking up the cable without having to disconnect anything that came with it.
How would Ikari Warriors work since there's no rotary controls? Spinner plus joystick?
Well it ain't no Recroom Masters but it'll do as an additional multicade to liven up the place a bit. Spinner and trackball look cool.
Did xmen vs street fighter have sound lag? It looked like it was way behind with the effects.
I hope it becomes available to the Australian market
same as for uk ireland we never get shit 😒
When you add mame games that use spinner or trackball, is it easy to setup controls to make sure they use the spinner/trackball properly?
Very similar to what i built 20 years ago, was around $3,000, My spinner's placement is above the joystick's, and mine has side buttons and a slide out keyboard,
I really hope they sell them in Australia, as i need a updated near full size, All i do now is make Mini's and Bartop's, & V-Pinball for family and friends
How does heavy barrel play? Been wanting to play this again but hard to find something with the correct controls to play it right.
Looks great and affordable. But how to buy in UK?
Can you get your hands on the Nu-Gen Elite Arcade Machine and do a review that thing on paper looks like it would kick ass
This seems like quite the solid unit, especially given its price is only a couple hundred more than the typical Arcade1UP unit. Probably the better buy for people that don't mind having a full size cabinet in their homes. AtGames does not have a very good track record with me, but I am liking what I am seeing here.
Does it have the 3D Golden tee live games? I think they started in 03 or 04
You can add 2k 3d 97 98 99
ETA Prime - how about a video on a DIY cabinet using outdated PC?
Any suggestions on getting the arcade version of Zaxxon to play sound? When I use the AddOn Tool, the .UCE file created does play the game, but there is no sound. I am using a MAME 2003 plus full non-merged rom file.
Can you use both player's controls as just player 1? For example, if you loaded Robotron from a usb drive could you use both sticks?
Yes the genesis versiin of robotron uses both sticks
How do you play Heavy Barrel, Ikari Warriors, Tron with those joysticks???
wow, atgames actually bringing something tempting. good effort. Does it have warlords? those spinners are actually hard to find in any normal controller form and I sorely miss them for warlords and tempest. hell even 500 for the hardware alone then just throw a pc in there is worth it.
@@bland9876 absolutely.
I tried to find usb paddles so we could have a warlords tournament at home and couldn't actually find any that didn't involve tracking down old Atari ones and then hoping genesis - usb adapters would work.
@2:41 Two doors to get to the arcade. Full size door for normal people and on the right a door for the halfings
I wish they get sound right on the smaller At games consoles.
We need to see the specs. I'll laugh if it only has like one MB of RAM.
I have the legends gamer pro, can I replace the ball top with a bat top for the toy sticks?
I've been dying to find out what CPU/GPU this thing is running and how dreamcast emulation on this sucker is. Excellent work as usually my house is full of Arcade1Ups, but wish I waited for something like this oh well.
Check out cooltoys new video on his channel he just showed dreamcast emulation through his pc to this unit seemed to run it just fine.
ATGames made this cab so it would be good enough for you to make a video on it and they could get a face reveal off the ultra reflective plastic panel over the screen... if you know what I mean...
Are you able to boot Linux from a thumb drive and run lshw or similar command?
Just wanted to point out that you do a great job of giving honest reviews without trying to peddle your own product around. I am a BigBox license holder and you didn't mention launchbox/bigbox during this video at all (with the very evident comparisons you could make with their UI).
Either way, stay honest and stay awesome!
I would really like just the control panel for my own set up if I could get it cheap enough.
Jimmy Gillard I was thinking the same thing, that control panel is really the most interesting part to me.
A dollar an hour?? That's, like, 1994 dial-up internet pricing.
Are you going to do a modding video adapting this one to a raspberry pi? I think that you're actually able to put one of those inside and add two light guns to the formula could be one of the best arcade emulator all in one machines out there, thanks for your videos!
You don't have to mod it to add a pi or pc. Just use bluetooth
Does it save high scores? Can it play primal rage or ki?
i have run into problems with running mame games and button mapping. Certain button on the control panel become non-useable in mame - Y button, Start, Menu, and some others. Anyone else have these problems?
If it can run Marvel vs Capcom 2 I'll place an order immediately
I want more direct comparisons between Legends and arcade1up. Both seek to replicate the arcade experience. Yes, there are differences in size and (vast) differences in numbers of games. But a similar overriding question ties the two together: which does better in recreating the arcade experience? Arcade1up 12-in-1 includes Tempest, Centipede, Missile Command. So does Legends. A performance comparison is absolutely central to what I (and many others) want to buy. If Legends has a crappy trackball/spinner/controller relative to 1up, who cares if it has a bigger monitor and 350 games? You can put a Defender rom on Legends, but will it be nevertheless unplayable, owing to the button scheme, as is the case with 1up? What about the small screen size of Legends’ vertical games? Direct measured size comparison for Galaga? Again, more feedback on such questions would be greatly appreciated.
Those spinners are what we need for Tron and Front Line. Do the spinners push down as buttons?
No they aren't used as buttons but they are very good quality spinners
2:50 "input" as in do more than what comes on the machine>? cool.
8:10 ah so theres that too.
This is really impressive. I was hoping the usual At games trash. Thanks ETA prime
i'd love to see some disney games and star wars games be played on it. What's the most recent/oldest game it came with.
hi from where can you download the street fighter and other games you can find on pandora boxes??? thanks
Would this support Daphne games such as Dragon's Lair or Space Ace?
You can stream them from your pc or bluetooth. No daphne emulator directly yet.
