Hi Greg. We really enjoy your videos. Especially the two recent, what to look for videos. We like Shadow a lot and it was the name of a pet we lost a few years ago.
Hi Rick, I really really appreciate it when viewers take a minute to share comments. The names for our RVHaulers often have special meanings. I have had RVHaulers named after pets quite often. Sometimes they are fun, sometimes they are very meaningful. Thanks for watching my videos, and I am glad you are enjoying them. I like making them! Although I like making RVHaulers more.... Gregg
Very nice ;-) Since the Ecosport is now AWD instead of FWD, it isn't even dolly towable. That leaves it still find for the back of an HDT north-south as an alternative to the Jeep for old people's comfort. We are then considering our best 35" or under 5W floorplan to keep us shorter overall.. I was struggling to find anything that had a decent computer workstation for those of us needing connectivity (We manage 13 campgrounds for the USFS for our concessionaire employer). Then I realized that the truck itself has a great office environment already just waiting for those Zoom meetings. Now just have to work on the accessibility issue for old folks needing knee replacements, some of those with YT channels are being interrogated as we speak. Back to my homework ... -Dave

Hi Dennis, The limitation is usually the trailer ball (or pintle hitch) that you choose to use. Class V is usually up to 20,000 lbs. There are some three inch trailer balls that go up to 25,000 lbs when combined with a Class V. Pintle can go higher. Ggg
All of our units are titled as motorhomes when they leave my dealership. You need a license to operate a two axle motorhome with air brakes. Picture your diesel pusher - same license! No CDL (Commerical Drivers License) required!
RVHaulers, do you ever use tractors without the monster sleepers? Seem redundant to have all that extra length when you have a 40' 5th wheel right behind you.
These things are fascinating. Is there a reason why a single axle truck couldn’t be employed as an RV hauler versus modifying a tandem to a single axle?
Hi Tim, We can go with either the tandem or single axle for our purposes. We can start with a tandem, optionally convert it to single axle, or sometimes there are a few rare already-single axle trucks out there! Ggg
Hi there, and thanks for the question. We place every axle according to the bed length, what we are carrying, weight distributions, and expected trailer pin weights. They can be setup quite differently from RVHauler to RVHauler. As well, we have to re-manufacture the driveshafts. The yokes are different sizes between the power divider axle, and the main rear drive axle. Thanks, Gregg
