Meena Kumari! What can one say? A true actress par excellence. Meena ji worked in so many movies and gave fabulous performances. The only actress who was nominated for 3 movies in 1962, Aarti, Main chup rahungi and Sahib Bibi Aur Gulam and winning Filmfare award for last one. Who can forget her in Bhabhi Ki Chudiya, Kaajal, Sahab Bibi aur Gulam, and numerous other movies. Really good in Pakeeza and Mere Apne. Who can forget the Tredegey queen of India. She passed away at young age and a very big loss to film industry.

Dear Tabbasum Jee, watching your programs are quite a treat for us cinema lovers. My mom on one of her visit to Bombay took me to meet Meena Kumari with me in her lap as a baby and my mom said that Meena Jee loved babies and kept hugging me. I love Meena Jee and her acting and would request you to give more firsthand detail about her everyday life and behaviour with her colleagues and friends since you have been in the industry for so long. Meena Kumari voice n face was different from others and that was her plus point, apart from super acting. She fitted in a distressed woman's role. Her get away place was a hotel nr. Marine Lines bridge n Islam Gymkhana. I adored her v much. May her soul RIP.... Tnks..😊

तबस्सुम जी के मुंह से मीना कुमारी की कहानी सुनना अच्छा लगा। मीना जी की ज़िंदगी में दु:ख, पीड़ा, तकलीफ, तड़फ, तनाव ज्यादा था। हमेशा सबका भला सोचनेवाली इस भावुक अभिनेत्री को जो सुख मिलना चाहिए था , उससे वंचित रही । सभी ने उनकी भावनाओं के साथ खिलवाड़ किया। नतीजा , मौत के मुंह में असमय चली गई। मीनाजी की आत्मा को शांति मिले। दुबारा अगर औरत के रूप में उनका जन्म हो तो भगवान उन्हें वो सारी ख़ुशियां दे जिसकी वो सच्ची हकदार थी ।

Mam, please make your videos longer. So much could be written and said about Meena Kumari. The year she got the Filmfare award for best actress for Sahib Bibi aur Ghulam, there were 3 nominations, and all three belonged to Meena Kumari ! The end of the tragedy queen was really tragic, when she died, there was no one to even pay the hospital bill. She was totally into alcohol, as she was used and ditched by all, whom she had faith on, including the great Dharmendra. Pradip Kumar acted in many films with her. Her dialogue delivery was the most powerful among Bollywood actresses.
