24 march 1972,meena kumari was playing cards with her sisters .they had very emotional talk regarding illness of meena kumari .
25 march 1972 ,meena kumari was really unwell and talked about some serious things about family with her sister khursheed .
26 march 1972 ,dr shah was called as meena kumari was really in bad health ..kamal amrohi also came there at meena kumari house .
27 march 1972 ,doctors decided to shift meena kumari to hospital .but meena kumari really hated hospitals and clinics as she has spent lot of time there in her earlier life .
28 march 1972 ,meena kumari agreed to go to hospital .she had only one hundred rupees with her on that day ..she called producer premji for money as there was some pending money of meena kumari .money reached on time .
meena kumari said namaste to liftman but he failed to reply .he started crying .
at 11.15 am ambulance left that building taking along meena kumari and reached nursing home .
29 march 1972 ,meena was getting close to death .
30 march 1972 ,team of 10 doctors checked meena kumari ..it was almost sure that she is not going to live .
31 march 1972 at 3.25 pm meena kumari left this world .

A broken marriage and broken heart, and being exploited by various men who later came in her life, drove her to alcohol, which ultimately claimed her life.
In an interview on "Dil ne Phir Yaad Kiya," Rukhsar Amrohi, Kamal Saheb's daughter, described in heart-touching words the relationship between her father and MeenaJi, whom she respectfully referred to as "Chhoti Ammi." She had with her the love letters that were exchanged between the two of them, and she read excerpts from some of them. She also vehemently denied the rumors of their divorce.
It deeply saddens me to think why two equally gifted people, who shared a love for poetry, and who themselves were excellent writers, and in spite of being so much in love, they couldn't be happy together! One is, naturally, compelled to think "what if" and "only if" ... And, had they remained together, then perhaps Pakeeza might have been completed a decade sooner, Meena Ji might have written a different type of poetry and not just full of sadness, despair and disillusionment, and the two of them would have shared many happy years together.
But real life is much different that reel life.
