@TheGrayJedi I dont think physically :)! Sorry if i sounded like a jerk im just kinda getting sick of star wars! Literally the only stuff i am rewatching over and over is clone wars and rebels(sometimes) and a bit of mando season 1-2(3 is garbage)! Its all just a hot mess! Boba Fett-insanely dull and lazy

It's important to have at least 1 person in the writer's room who's not connected to Star Wars so that this person can look at things from an analytical perspective and try to fix things that won't appeal or make sense to general audiences and newcomers.
I'm a fan of the prequels, but I believe such a person could have been useful back then, instead of a bunch of yes-men.
The original trilogy movies weren't made by fans of Star Wars, and that's how we got Empire. A New Hope was saved because the people working on the movie didn't liked it. Etc.
Once you start taking things way too seriously you may lose track of the essence of the stories you're trying to tell. At the end of the day Star Wars is just a bunch of tall tales, as said by Filloni himself; who learned that from George Lucas. There's a reason all movies start with a play on fairy tales' "a long, long time ago...".
Having someone who's not a fan isn't what gives you the Disney Sequels. Having a bunch of Hollywood execs and producers meddling with the creative direction and decisions of the stories being told is what gives you the Disney sequels.
I respectfully disagree which quite a bit of what you're saying, but the part I do agree with is misplaced and doesn't back up your argument. I understand and am okay with people that aren't hard core fans that can still help the series, but we're talking about people who are continuing a story! A story they haven't even seen, and it's not just helping in a way that they can help, we're talking about people who are writing a story/continuing a story in an existing universe! So it is important for these people to at least watch the stories so they know what they're dealing with, and her excuse to this makes no sense once you think about it, and what she and Disney is doing is completely different that what George went through and the process with 1-6, so that's why I feel like the parts that I do agree with in your statement don't really work as a good reason as to why what she's doing is actually not that bad. Hope this makes sense.
Yes it makes sense. I was just bringing up that it's common sense for people who work with entertainment to have people who aren't fans working on the writing. If that's the best decision for this particular case or not is an entirely different matter.
In the end I think it's more of a matter of them not wanting to tell the same stories as the ones in Legends or the ones vaguely hinted by George in his 'master' version of the canon.
I don't think we can expect them to bring Legends' or George's vision to Live Action. That'd be a foolish dream and expectation.
If we judge things from that perspective then no newer shows will ever survive the scrutiny.
I just hope it's a good show for whatever it's trying to do.

So glad I cancelled my Disney+ membership. I lost all faith in Disney after Mando season 2 I don’t know if you liked it but I didn’t.
I thought it was a good way to get rid of grogu, but that didn't and won't happen, will it, lol. Same here.
