    That is really bad if they didn't show it I would call and complain. I only once had something like this with an auction company but they agreed it wasn't fair that they missed it. The auction company(centurion auctions) in this case offered a full refund(send it back) or a partial credit and I opted for the credit.

      Centurion has been good to me too in that regard, what did they miss on your gun? They’re surprisingly customer friendly for a big auction house

      They sold me a rifle that under the wood someone used some type of plastic to fill in pitting. The person consigning it definitely knew. Again I love them and have bought from them since, they made it right in my book. Now I do buy from them often I don't know if that is why they were so quick to work with me or if they just are great people.@@justinsargenti1573 If anyone thinks I am saying something bad about them you are wrong I have been very very satisfied with them and that was my only issue out of many purchases.

    Welding on the receiver? Not good at all. Hiding that was disgraceful.

    Saw your Reddit post today, sorry to hear about the damage that really sucks. I threw a bid on a really cool Sparks Pepperbox Derringer a while back on proxibid. This was a project and had obviously not been stored well at all. I was completely fine with this as I love projects, however it was much worse once received than the pictures showed and I thought the pics did a good job though no so much. Was completely locked up. Still working on it but I have it all stripped down. I know it is not the situation like yours but needless to say I was disappointed as well.. sometimes you take a risk and it doesn’t pan out

    When viewing an auction online, I usually take into account 60-80 lots per hour sold, so if the lot I am looking at is 320 and the auction starts at 9am, I will check in on it around 1pm.
    I hope you are able to get some restitution on this rifle

  • @JoshRockolla

    Lithgow's will have assembly numbers on the receiver and bolt, that's likely what you're seeing.

    • @GarandGuy2553
      @GarandGuy2553  Před 3 měsíci

      There were two serial numbers on the bolt handle, on the bottom and right side. Neither matched the receiver, which also had 2 serial numbers on it.

    Where’d they get that rifle, from RTI? All kidding aside, if you saw that on a table at a show, you would have kept on walking. Hope they come clean. If not, do another video and make sure your viewers know about it.

    Okay, so you are mad over nothing buddy. Some of the auction have rules in place to prevent FFL holders of all types to match the address. I hope you see why, but if you don’t, it’s a safety net to prevent someone scamming licenses.

    • @GarandGuy2553
      @GarandGuy2553  Před 3 měsíci +1

      They were saying it was an ATF mandated rule when I asked about it which it isn’t. If it’s internal policy then whatever. Anyway, I’m more so annoyed about the weld marks not represented in the listing photos.

    Reminds me why I refuse to do business with C&R FFLs. Always have issues with them. Whining over a $400 rifle is typical.
    Anyway, that's some weird damage. Kind of like they welded a scope mount to it. Hopefully, the auction house will offer you a settlement you'll be happy with.
