- Hi Guys, Welcome to my channel. I got quite a few requests to do an updated Dooney & Bourke handbag collection. Thanks for your requests! It took me awhile to finally get this together, but I'm so glad I did. It gave me a chance to see everything in my collection again all at once. I relaxed with some tea and smiled at this fun tour of your collection of amazing D&B bags! You have wonderful diverse choices in textures, cotton and leathers. I especially appreciate the totes, I can see how practical they are for work and shopping. You are smart to have bags that are on the lighter side of the spectrum! I adore the small crimson satchel...I noticed the black one replaced the marine blue you once had. I also sold my marine satchel. I now have a Flo black in medium instead. That croco cognac bag and the Alto chestnut you acquired a few years ago are TDF!! Great video...my guilty pleasure hang out is on your station :-)

OMG! The Amelia bag from the Alto Collection is beyond gorgeous. I've been a Dooney girl since my first one in 1995. Almost ANY from the Alto line would be my holy grail!!! Love love love!

Hey Laurie! You're so welcome! I do love them. They make me so happy, but I do agree that toting them around can be aggravating at times. I just need to learn to carry the right bags for the right occasion and not try to lug a big leather bag with me to the store. There is something so freeing about carrying a light bag. Just wait until you see my latest addition to my collection. As soon as I finished filming, UPS dropped something off at my door. Haha. I thought I filmed an unboxing, but I can't find it on my phone so I must not have hit the start button. Grrrr....I will have to just film a reveal video instead. I just wanted to point that out so you are searching the right item. Have you tried calling the outlets? They had quite a few of these awhile back, but I hadn't noticed if they did the last time I was there. It might be worth a call to see if they can check at other locations for you. I never have any luck with calling the outlets. I'm a long way from the one here in Texas and they are never very helpful when I call and on the rare occasion they actually had what I wanted I was told it was not shippable. Not sure I understand why not. Stick it in a box like the ones that ARE shippable and send it off! Right? Oh well. Anyway, if you should ever get bored with her let me know. I'd be happy to pay the adoption fee and give her a good home 🏡
Hahaha, yes you are so right Valerie....stick it in a box just like the ones that are shipable. I love it! I thought I heard from someone that everything is shipable now so maybe you'll have more luck. A good tip is to call on a weekday when they are slow. Hi Garrincha, thank you so much! I so appreciate your watching. :) I encourage you to try to check out some Dooney's in person because a lot of it is the feel of them. They are so well made and the materials are top of the line in my opinion. It's so common to suddenly find yourself with several shortly after you get your first one. There is just something about this brand that is so addicting! I purchase most of mine from the outlet because I am fortunate to have one near me. The outlets also ship bags. You can call and order over the phone. You should know what you are looking for and you just have to ask about availability. If they don't have it they will search other outlets and then connect you with them to finish the sale. It's important to ask about he condition of the bag though. Also there is the Dooney online outlet called ilovedooneyl.com. They have great prices and they sell on their own site and eBay. You can also purchase preloved or new bags on eBay. QVC sells them too and on easy pay which is very tempting because it make them affordable when spreading the payments out over a few months. They also have an as is selection which you can find if you search as is dooney & bourke on their site. Also Dooney has their website, dooney.com and they sometimes have sales. They also offer a 3 month easy pay on some bags. Major department stores also carry them, but they don't always have the best sales. I hope that helps. Thanks Suz! You are so sweet. I did sell my natural Logo Lock hobo. I didn't have taupe, but maybe you thought my natural was taupe. I just wasn't using it. I decided to keep only one and the grape was just more me. I pretty much baby my bags, plus none of them get much use since I have so many to rotate in. I feel like I rarely carry any of them. I think it's because the darker colors are neutrals so I feel they are okay for all times of year, plus it's my favorite color so I need to see it and carry it often. Lol. Hi Lavern, Thanks and Happy New Year to you too! The red satchel is from the pebble grain collection. It's a little older than the Samba satchels that recently came out. Samba leather is sort of similar to pebble, but it's a little thicker and heavier, at least the samba bag that I have is. My pebbled leather red satchel is kind of thinner. I wonder what the new samba satchels feel like but I bet they are stunning. TFW xoxo :)

You have an amazing collection woooow. I like to ask you about Dooney & Bourke Ostrich Drawstring. Is the Ostrich leather a soft leather?
Thanks Amal! The ostrich leather is a bit stiffer, but I believe it might soften a little over time. I had a Chelsea shopper in ostrich, but I sold it awhile back. Wow! Gorgeous. Do you think the American made small satchel is the lightest of the small satchels? I've been eyeing some of them that are on sale. You really have to look closely to see the differences. TFS!
Thank you! I don't really think there is much if any difference in the weight of the American made satchel, if anything maybe it's heavier? It's hard to tell. It has an extra piece of leather across the bottom of the bag so maybe that adds to the weight. What really drew me to the bag was the striking contrast of the black with the red details. Great collection!!! I loved so many of them, lol!! That samba belted shopper in gray is beautiful!!! Also the Chelsea shopper in ostrich LOVE!!! I don't have any bags that the large strap attaches on opposite sides. That seems strange to me. Is it uncomfortable? I do also love the straps on those hobos. I wish they were clip so that I could detach them and use on some of my other bags. I don't enjoy the thinner adjustable straps that they use on a lot of their bags.
Thanks Jenn! The strap that attaches on the handle rings is more or less just a little awkward, especially on the Willa because it is a bigger bag. I don't mind it as much on the zip zip satchel. On the willa it also gets uncomfortable because it's such a thin strap and the bag is so heavy with my things in it. I wish it attached more to the ends of the bag and also I wish it was wider. I wish Dooney made straps available for purchase. I would buy one of those equestrian straps and use it on several bags. I wish they used that one on more of their bags. I agree with wanting them to sell just the straps. I've been looking at the pretty guitar straps that can be used on your bags. I haven't really seen anything I want yet but I did notice Tory Burch had some on her new bags but nothing for individual sale! I like the equestrian straps too... pretty and functional!!!
There is a website that some of the LV ladies talk about. I think it's Mautto or something similar to that. They have some nice mesh straps. I might check that out.

Great video! For your alto bag, I have one in a different style. I use the apple brand cleaner, conditioner, and rain guard on her. With using the conditioner the leather has softened alot, still structured, but softer. Oh, mines the gray color.
Thanks Nina! Oh that's great to know. I didn't know if it was safe to use conditioner on the Alto leather. It seems that nothing could soften this bag since it's such a structured style, but I will keep that in mind when it looks like it needs some conditioning. Hi Beatrice, I think you are asking about the Florentine Stanwich Satchel. I was trying to correct myself by saying I meant pleats and not gussets. I misspoke in my video, which tends to happen a lot I'm noticing. Lol. These are still available on Dooney.com in the regular size and below I have included a link. Hi Beatrice, I sometimes sell bags when I find I am not using them. Most of the time they are brand new with only a few uses. I buy most of my bags at the outlet so I try to just recoup the cost and sell them a little below what I paid. At the moment I do not have any for sale. I usually sell on ebay. Some of them I am guilty of talking softly because I am trying to be quiet as to not disturb people in my home, but I don't think this was one of them. I do agree that it is softer than most of the videos I watch it might be the editing program I use. I use Video Shop on my Iphone. I feel like lately they seem quieter. Thanks again for the feedback. I appreciate it.
