- I have downsized my entire purse collection and I now only have four Dooney and Bourke bags. I am sharing the remaining ones in my collection.

What a beautiful collection of Dooney bags. The colors and styles are so unique. My very first handbag was the vintage small saddle bag you showed and I had my initials engraved on my brass duck (many, many, years ago). Yours brought back nice memories. Back in early 2022 I purchased two Dooney bags which I have since donated. Dec 26, 2023 I started purchasing Dooney bags again. I have learned what I need in my wardrobe and I have also defined my personal style. I defined my personal style based on my life style. I have a casual life but I love classic silhouettes with my clothing and clean lines. I already owned a small Emerson Tory Burch small crossbody (black) and a Micheal Kors Winston zip pocket tote (camel) both have matching wallets. I started with adding black bags within the Dooney line. A Florentine Hobo 26 (black) it’s a small dressier bag for my life style, Florentine small Barlow (black) serves as a tote like bag for me, and a Presley (crossbody/shoulder) black/tan trim which serves as a nice everyday bag (I’m still waiting on this one). After these purchases I will keep looking on the Dooney site mostly for a taupe and a mustard probably pebbled leather, I may also try QVC since they do get things I don’t see on the sight. I only owned 3 total bags before all of this and found my main bag was wearing quickly. So today I made room in my closet to hold at least 5-6 more bags and I will select them very carefully. I do like Coach and my favorite luxury brand is Bally. I enjoy watching your great thrifting skills and seeing the variation is your taste of designs. Where on earth do you store so many handbags❓🙃👜

It’s always refreshing to hear other fellow handbag lovers talk about their collection and downsizing. That’s very impressive that you’ve been able to downsize to 50. I was over 100 at the start of the year but now I’m down to 97. You’ve held onto some amazing Dooney pieces and they’re all so you! Awesome video❤. TFS🤗

Thank you for sharing your collection. I recently picked up a Dooney denim bag with a wallet( Y2K). Every nice size hobo, the one I found has the DBs in red without pockets. I love how your bag has the red leather trim pockets really make the bag pop.

I did not dare to count my bags but I sure also want to downsize but it's sonhard when you can't separate 😅 the leisure tote is my favorite❤ you kept what needed to be kept. I hope I can get there too❤

I remember when you got the lion head bag I think that was such a great way for D&B to get an evening looking bag into there collection. The only designer I have is a Dooney & Bourke overnight tote that a boyfriend about 15 years ago gave to me as a Christmas present. I have not used it any more because it a travel bag and I don't travel. I guess I would like a Coach bag, I saw those that were like a crossbody style or waist bag those are cute but I would lean more to classic leather structure bag because I would have to be able to get a lot of wear from it. It was great going back down memory lane with you and seeing the new addition. Thanks for sharing and blessings to you and all in the days to come.

The last bag is called “The Banana bag”. It comes in a smaller size and that one. I actually ordered it from Mercari, asked the seller to cancel because I really wanted the small. But now after seeing this video, I could kick myself!

I have a hard time letting go of handbags. About 10 years ago, I let go of a Coach bag that now I wish I still had in my collection 😓 Since then, I think really long and hard before I decide to part ways with any handbag. My collection is pretty modest, I think 🙈 I have a total of 34 handbags and am doing my best not to add any more as I’m running out of shelf space. If I add another l have to be SUPER excited about it. I think it’s great that you downsized your collection and are looking to add more luxury pieces that you’ve been wanting for awhile. Love your bags. I plan to downsize my collection as well. I’ve purchased several that didn’t wow me, but I finally feel like I know what styles I really like. So it’s time to let go of the ones that I know I won’t miss.

I have both and my DOONEY BAGS ARE MADE BETTER. I HAVE GUCCI, COUCH, LV, LONGCHOMP, BURLBERRY, MCM, STELLA MCCARTNEY, AND MANY MORE. I LOVE DOONEY BEST.
