    Thank you so much for posting this. I was under my E63 forever trying to locate the oil drain plug. It’s an odd location and size and simply missed it. Been waiting for this video! Thanks for making it. One thing I would just add is I would recommend not doing an oil change just on jack stands per se for safety reasons, I would say proper axle stands (rated for the weight of your car) would be safer! Also our MB dealer sends us a video mid way through the service these days and they definitely drain it out of the bottom too.

    • @ExoticCarDIY
      @ExoticCarDIY  Před 2 lety +2

      Yep, I probably spent 1000s of ours underneath cars with jack stands and hated it. That's why getting a lift was so worth it for me. Ramps can be good too, but most of my cars are too low for ramps. Axle stands are great.
      The two a surprise by several people commenting that dealers were vac'ing The oil out the top, I mean I guess it accomplishes the goal as long as you're getting enough oil out. It can be convenient.
      I guess the e55 kind of turned me off towards sucking it out the top, it has a split sump and when you vac it You literally leave almost two quarts of dirty oil in there, so I definitely always drained it from the bottom on that car which was contrary to what the dealer does.
