There's a lot of good testing info in the description. Short answer is, it will still correctly tell you to shift in park if you're in neutral or drive even after the switch is bypassed

Yes, if yours wasn't ordered in Europe with the iOS plus turned on, it'll be a very similar instructions, the only tweaking you might need to do is just to change it from r right hand traffic to left hand traffic depending on what country you're in

Haha, nope. Not just because of Florida Beach life, but the 355 has a narrow pedal setup, it's very very hard to drive with shoes, only thin racing shoes if any

Unfortunately that's very common, especially in the 12-14 models. Mercedes claims it's simply an annoyance and not harmful. It's the timing chain tensioners. Early m157 had no check valves and so they would allow the oil to drain out of the tensioner. So on startup it takes two or three seconds for oils to tighten the chain. Then the tensioners themselves are insufficient and have gone through several revisions. There are tsb documents and many forum posts on this for further reading

@evanp3239 the holes are so small on the outside of that can and the fiberglass is so tightly packed in there, that there is no way there no way there is any airflow movement through it

No lift, no rub. I will mention my car is an overland with Factor quadralift air suspension which will raise it 4".... But even in regular height I experienced no rub

Yes, all Mercedes engines would direct injection required spark plugs to be indexed. As for the oil pump solenoid yes but also no. So all Mercedes in recent times have a two-stage oil pump. While there are many benefits to all engines when running "normal" (full) pressure all the time, so far only the m278 and m157 seem to show evidence of damage or failures from this fuel savings oil pump. I'm not aware of any failures related to the m177 from the two-stage oil pump. Additionally, you were Mercedes will throw a check engine light if the solenoid is unplugged. Well I suppose this is still considered beta, it has been very heavily tested on the m157 m276, in 278 platforms, I am not aware of anybody with an m177 that has begun testing this.

Yeah no need to remove the fan for the water pump. I had mine removed for the oil pan. It's a pain in the butt to remove the fan, but makes the oil pan super easy

It's the same story on all the Mercedes in the past dozen years. To my knowledge, a 'mod ' has not been tested on the m177 yet. Also, I am not aware of any oil related faults on the m177 such as cylinder scoring, melting Pistons etc. it's possible AMG finally compensated for the lack of oil in some other way. (The m177 does suffer from rear main seal leaks and oil separator failures tho)
