ESO Complete Beginners Guide 2023 - Episode 01 - Getting Started

- Hey there everyone!
Thank you so much for coming this far and checking out my first video in a new beginners guide to ESO in 2023!
The Elder Scolls Online, abbreviated ESO, is a massively multip-layer online role-playing game developed by ZeniMax Online Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks!
This is the very start of our series covering the many aspects of ESO! In this particular episode we walk through the very beginning of your adventure into Tamriel and we cover a variety of topics and basic mechanics of the game!
Next week's episode we will cover more solo based content and questing and how best to tackle the start of your ESO adventure!

About me - Thanks for scrolling this far!
So as you might've guessed my name is Des and welcome! I've been Streaming for a little over 5 Years now which is just wild to me! I've been playing video games all my life and it all started for me on a Gameboy Console with games like Super Mario Land, Pokemon Blue, Tetris, and The Legend of Zelda so you can imagine I am a bit of a Nintendo fan!
And that's what you're going to find here mostly. We are gonna stick to Nintendo-based content but from time to time we will venture out into other things!

Started ESO a couple of weeks back and im loving it. Alot to figure out but its not as complex as people might think. New guides are always useful though... I'm going to listen to this even though I'm still at work as I write this 😂.

As a skyrim player im trying hard to get into this game
I'm sorry to hear your having a hard time! Is there a particular element to the game your struggling with or is it just in general?
@Desmondous after playing it for a number of hours I am going to stick with my original statement. Its no where near as immersive , the quests seem shallow and repetitive. Also one thing I find frustrating is navigating around the world. This alone is enough to frustrate me into submission. I played skyrim for like 330 hours but since then played witcher3 and games like elden ring so maybe I've moved on from this style of play.
@terrencekelly1256 Thats 100% fair man! I can definately see where your coming from! Like I use allot of add-ons to change up my experience go navigation in eso because it can be difficult! What other games are you into mate? Have you got your eye on any coming out this year?
@Desmondous to be honest my console needs to be updated I'm still on ps4 but i think maybe Starfield could be fun although it does look like what baby would be created between fallout,outer worlds,and no man's sky. But maybe that's a good thing I did like some aspects of them Games. I'm currently getting close to finishing elex 2. My favourite games of recent times were witcher3,prey,elex 1.

Hi there friend! Welcome to the game! I hope you have a great time in your adventures through Tamriel!
I can't give any exacts but I can tell you that there is a guild finder in the guilds tab if you press G :) I can only really give you some recommendations on some AU/NZ Guilds at the moment! But with the guild finder you should be able to find many that are very new player friendly :)

What do you use to edit videos? I am in the process of making eso content
Hi There! Sure thing! So I'm a Graphic designer so I have access to the Adobe Creative Suite. For video editing I use Premier Pro :) if I need to do anything with motion graphics I use after effects :) I hope this helps and good luck with your future videos :)

@@Desmondous I hate to keep bothering you with this but do you have any recommendations for a guy new to the space to learn adobe creative suite? I figure once I understand it uploading content will be a whole lot easier and consistent

So if your looking for free resources there are some pretty handy tutorials on adobe's website aswell as here on CZcams :) if your happy to pay a little bit of money though, I learned what I know from study but also courses on Udemy, in particular Daniel Walter Scott. He might even have some free resources on CZcams aswell :) I hope this helps!
I just started two days ago.. and I still don't understand crafting maybe it's a Xbox thing cus half the stuff you show I can't find or do.
Oh that's right! I forget that the crafting layout for consoles is allot different! I'll definately have to look at addressing this is the future because I can only imagine how confusing crafting might be on console! Thanks for pointing that out :)
