you got something wrong, heavy attacks do generate ultimate but not with every hit, i noticed this the other day with my archanist where i was getting some ultimate per every 7-10 hits
The password for the written guide for the video linked below does not work. Can you update the password please? Thanks czcams.com/video/J00092zo_sl/video.html

another big mistake is trying to make sets for every level trait stones are hard enough to come by if you don't have the gold to buy them, not everyone has 100k plus in gold, though i have 400+ gold because i mainly do quests after reaching champion rank to maximize my gold and i focus my thief champion points to increase gold from all sources this is especially for newer players who's been researching traits along the way but don't bother earning the trait gems.
also for those playing Arcanist not using runeblades to generate cruxes is going to hurt your damage so arcanists use runeblades to generate cruxes before using your beam attack
PS. i use Escalating runeblades and Pragmatic fatecarver because they do the most damage IMO plus Escalating runeblades has aoe to handle groups in dungeons but i start with Reconstructive Domain to give me just that little more damage in my attacks plus it gives heals so in dungens the mag dps and healers can stay in the fight longer
People who just start out should not focus on endgame stuff while leveling their characters. I have seen this a lot and it just end up confusing them instead if getting the feel for the game first. Its typical they reach level 15 and starts asking about gear and weapons for "meta" builds. Just take your time and experience the game ❤
That what I do and there is no fun anyway
Agree, eso have one of the best leveling in mmorpgs
@@user-bz7gp1yy5xis good, but imho is not enough challenging, the pve content and levelling is just too too easy, so for me it become boring in a certain point :( i don’t talk about ultra end game veteran run, ecc…
And another problem is not real “rewarding” at least for me.
Pvp and housing thats the endgame stuff 😉
I was so scary about being a mess in a dungeon and got kicked that my goal was solo a dungeon first and then try to group for dungeons. My first solo dungeon was at CP 600. It was Normal Arx. I didn't have any meta sets. But in my naive TESO knowledge i made my own setup to survive like a solo: Templar. Body [5 Live Wire to heal me] + Unfathomable Darkness Jewels, back Ice Staff, front big sword. I did it. I died many times with last boss but I FINALLY DID IT SOLO!
Then i soloed all non dlc dungeons except BHH [like a templar we can solo DFK big sword + bow]. My first dungeon group was in BHH at CP 850. My first trial was at CP 1200 [HM VAA and VHRC in the same day]. I just died ONE TIME in final HRC boss cuz i blocked bad in last phase. My sets in that time were Body [5 Pilar of Nirm] + Dreugh King Jewels and Big Sword + Back Bar [Maelstrom Ice Staff]. Like a solo player i learnt: 1. How sustain my dps and magik, 2. postitioning, 3. How heal myself, 4. Learn the boss paterns, 5. Block a lot in the right moment. The only one trial meta set i use to date is Ansuul. And i enjoy TESO A LOT.
Why all the TESO CHANNELS FORGET THE MOST IMPORTANT THING: GET FUN n PLAY LIKE U WANT!
And get kicked out of Dungeons or Raids because you dont deal enough Damage or Heal cause they only use 1 weapon without Oakensoul cause they wanna Play how they wanna Play.
@@uvveshlurvvesh6515no one is kicking out of normals
@uvveshlurvvesh6515 exactly, so many people preach "play how you want." Which is all well and good, so long as you aren't joining randoms and ruining their time with your nonsense. Just got a random dlc dungeon with a fake tank in light armor and 17k health pulling 5k dps, while I was healing. I was healing tanking and literally doing 50% of the damage, because I was only one that actually knew what was going on in the whole group. They wouldn't even listen when I tried to explain the mechanics they kept dying to lmao
Deconstructing gear also adds it to your collection
I've played through several times, and now I just start over for relaxing play
my personal opinion specially for new players would be : MountSPEED FIRST. you dont want to grind your mount for 120 days and running is still faster than riding. you want to be fast there is a lot of ground to be covered. if i dont have many cp i would also go speed . get stuff done fast
Another horse speed tip is to pick up the first passive in the assault line as soon as you go to the warzone at level 10. A 30% speed boost for mounts is not to be overlooked.
My own method is first 30 in speed, then alternate speed/stamina until speed reaches 60, then stamina until it also reaches 60, and carry capacity last.
@@isidroramos1073 as a non eso+ crafter, capacity is king
@@isidroramos1073Unless you PVP in Cyrodiil, you don’t really need more than 10 Stamina at first in PVE zones. Stamina is not how long your mount can run, but how much dmg it takes before you fall off. 10 is enough to keep you on your mount if a pve mob hits you as you ride past. So you might do better to focus on Capacity once you hit 10 Stam, and leave the rest of you Stam for last.
If you plan to always pay for ESO Plus or do PvP then it will be a good concentration. If you do only PvE or don't keep ESO Plus, then carrying capacity is more useful as mount speed is never necessary at that point and only a nicety. Wayshrines or teleporting to guildies is far more useful outside of PvP.
Ive played on and off since 2016. Now back in full-swing and first time doing most of the DlC quests. After 1300 hours one mistake which kept me back was foucusing on a particular set of build. After a while i got bored and stopped playing. Now i play with whatever. I still look at builds for trials thats fine but for questing and normal dungeons i go with what i find most fun. My main is a sorc so i have multiple roles and builds built around the class. Play to have fun. Dont play for meta until you need to.
A mistake I've continuously done throughout my time playing ESO, on and off for years, was getting very strict with my own build. Following guides are nice, they're very helpful, but then I realized that I really haven't done much other than normal quests, so it's not like I really need the latest and greatest "Nightblade PvE GOD Guide"
I still follow one guide for my main, but I've been letting myself be free once in a while and getting other abilities to try out. I figured you shouldn't really worry much about your build, not as much as you think you should, unless you're running endgame; In which case, respec or get skyshards for new skills. I'm only level 38, not like I'm doing endgame anytime soon, so I'm using my own stuff every now and again while I work my way up. It's fun that way. You're not gonna have fun always looking over your shoulder for the next best build when you got your progression to worry about.
I started 5 days ago and hit 30 on 3 out of my 4 toons, you’ll hit endgame in no time, I expect to be ready to grind CP in a week or two which is record breaking compared to the 7 years it took me on Xbox one.
Ther is one WB in a base game zone that can be very difficult and that is Caravan Crest in Deshaan. That little guar can be tougher than many a DLC WB.
You touch on a very interesting point. Not all content is created equal. Some WB's in the Core zones can be solo'd , some like the one you mentioned, not so much. Same with dungeons, the is a huge range in difficulty, and also in the time it takes to complete them. If you are a casual player, do not overlook the side quests. Some of them are a lot of fun and/or very interesting.
I hate that one. Cleaned every other wb in base game. Not this one. For that one I needed help. I'm still peeved about it. DLC bosses I get but it's base game for crying at loud.
Yea that guar is stubborn and the spriggns keep is guled to life
I always make it a point to get the intimidate and persuade skills as early as feasible. Certainly within the first 10 skill points spent.
Speed, Stamina and Carry capacity is 60 points (1 stat each 20 hours) each so expect 160+ days to max all 3 horse stats.
Thanks for the upload Hack. ❤👍
Great Video, awesome advice.
The one piece of advice I'd definitely add is making sure to open the Alliance War skill lines at level 10 IF they are not open already.
IMO Vigor is a great early buff & overtime Heal. Then of course there's Continuous Attack, which is an awesome mount speed boost for a new player.
I won't even mention Magical Detonation and morphs...I mean how much fun is Inevitable Det and PoL?? Ok so those two are pretty out there for newbies.🤣
1. Whyd you capitalize if
2. Is it even possible to grt the alliance war skill lines before level 10
Open them if you are 10 and haven't yet, not if you haven't before 10.
People these days lack any ability to infer the most logical reasoning without being explicitly told outright 🤦
@@CAiNiAC if you haven't opened the Alliance Skill lines before level 10 ( when you can go to Cyrodiil or Battlegrounds) getting the Alliance Points log in reward will open the Alliance Skills.
I have a level 4 character on my Alt account that has the skill line open by doing it that way.
I might have read your comment wrong, if so sorry!!
@@tracylamb2971 you're good, I was referencing the guy above me.
Great video. Thanks for putting it out. Been playing for years but I can still forget about some aspects. This was a great reminder. :)
Good tips! One thing i don't think was mentioned after light attacks was when talking about stamina management. I totally hadn't been doing it since getting back into the game. When you do heavy attacks, it restores your stamina. It's surprising how much comes back after 1-3 heavy attacks and can get when get just one in giving you enough to heal or whatever you need to do
players should also start in the 3 base game zones simply for story.. you are going to encounter so many recurring characters and they will remember you as you progress and the deeds you have done.. maybe not as much as they should but thats the dev teams failures in not having the grandiose legend level of the things you have done recognised
One thing you forgot to mention is that they should start power-leveling as soon as possible. There's too large of a level gap between new players and veterans and they need to catch up quick. That's why Veteran Ranks were so much better. Now if you aren't CP3600 you didn't beat the game.
And I'm totally satirical.
I power to 10 get horse buff then power to 15 back bar whatever then have fun
The Undaunted skill line is HUGELY important BEFORE you do any group dungeon missions. The group dungeon mission gives undaunted skill line xp only once and if you don't have the line unlocked you miss out forever. Pledges give additional undaunted xp but you have to wait until after level 45 for that.
Its calculated hiddenly tho. I forgot before and when i started the undaunted skill line i jumped straight to like 4 or 5 if i remember correctly. They dont punish players for not doing things in order so its not missable necessarily as much so as forgotten
@@bronysaiyan5236 I don't know. On a new alt I made a few months ago I didn't do the quest and lost the skill line xp forever. There's ways of making it up though. Doing Vet Pledges more than covers it, for those able to do them. I have an addon that shows locked skills leveling. Armor for instance, you need to wear 5 pieces one time to unlock the lines, but the locked lines show progress with the addon. It doesn't show the Undaunted though. I remember it well because I thought it would happen like you said. I really wanted to max Undaunted line for the passives and thought it was counting. So i figured when I finally did the mission I'd already be almost level 10. I was pretty upset when I was at level 1 and 0% having already finished like 30 dungeon missions. If I ever make another new alt I won't make that mistake again. Actually now that I think of it, it was about 6 months ago. Maybe they patched it, but I won't take any chances.
Great Advice, Thank You!
I’ve got about 170 hours into ESO and started in Vvardenfell. I stayed there for about 150 of my played hours and am only at level 28. Slow going, but I’m enjoying the time spent! Lol
You can level way faster if you know how, ex: have training gear, doing daily quest
@@Vincent-kc9cgno need
The Stamina Tip is HUGE! Thanks for making this video.
Thank you!!
My ESO mistake was trying to reach max level fast as possible.
The most common mistake is reading and watching too much guides. Especially endgame guides. People should enjoy exploration and discovering new features on their own, as it is intended that way. The feel of discovery and learning are the best! And memories of your noob gameplay are the warmest and sweetest. Even though they are cringe sometimes
Oh, yes. Starting characters should totally be trying to get Mythics (like Oakensoul) which can't even be equipped until they're Level 50, CP 160. As beginner advice goes, that's not a great piece of it.
I've been playing on and off since launch and I just started a new Nightblade and just finished up Khenarthi's Roost and plan on doing the other original starting zones next before I launch out and do anything else.
6:56 i have the issue of repairing my gear when it is still fine still (98 to 99 percentish) , i am the equivalent of FPS Player of reloading after every kill.
It's a good idea to learn to trade health for resources!
10:18 i always recommend leveling your cooking skill line to 50 if possible.
There’s a lot of add ons that can resolve issues too. Like the armor issue you can get an add on that repairs armor for you.
great video
everytime i do a dlc zone as my first zone i ended up just getting hte companion as the very first quest....but ya starting with starting zone right after is great.
I think some of the ESO CZcams channels suggest new players to start in the dlc zones because of the level scaling. I mean is there a level 10 version of Harrowstorms of western Skyrim?
I train on every stat per character especially scrying in long and grindy but the money is so good to buy resources since I'm low level.
Not a very big deal there. I think best things to advice are :
- play the tutorial if you're new
- start in any zone if ok, but follow the main quest of any region you visit to get skill points instead of getting shit stuff
- run any new dungeon you can once you hit lv10, you will get a skill point from each dungeon quest
- don't zombie-farm exp, you won't get any skill point from skyreach or BRP, and you will loose your time afterwards to get them anyway
- as soon as you hit lv10, go to cyrodiil and do the "welcome to cyrodill quest" (don't skip it) to up your pvp skill to lv3 and get the first assault passive and speed up your mount
- learn how to play your skills from the start, and how to switch bars as soon as you hit lv15
- if you have already reached CP with another char, don't waste your exp scrolls on a new character, use it to up your CP levels
I always did the Thieves guild and Assasins guild quest line as I do the main and all side quests in an area before I move on. There's just too many rewards involved in these areas to ignore them.
TBF I think even new players should start in High Isle just to go quickly grab Ember companion THEN go to you alliance first major city and then get the quest to do cold harbour opening. As a longer term player though I always go grab every companion first then do my alliance cold harbour opening.
Nice.
If only I had this video back in 2019 when I first started.
To get food buffs it pays do to the daily provisioning writs and put some skill points in to making more than 1 serving of food per craft. That way you'll always have food and any food buff is better than no food buff, no ? Besides doing all daily writs on a character gives you over 5k gold per day for a level 50 character, with 10 characters that makes over 1.5 million per month which is always nice for about 40 minutes of work a day.
12:39 is it ONLY light attacks or do heavy attacks work also? I be heavy attacking w my staves I never light attack w them
Heavy attack also works
Vvardenfell is where it’s at for trade skills.
I only get to play on the weekend, am I basically screwed in terms of progressing my character?
I've played since the launch. It's a great game. Story telling is great! I do wish they would bring back the difficulty in zones though (Overland) it would make the story and achievements much more gratifying. I had to do it and I was much more committed to logging in everyday to complete a quest and level up. I remember going to the rift and getting smoked because I was to low of a level lol!!
My biggest issue with ESO is that everything scales no matter what I progress. Its the same in destiny. Nothing you earn really matters lol you're already as strong as the top stuff once you start because of it.
all the icons above the s health, stamina, bars that show the timers is that a mod addon or base game?ty
okay rewatched, 3.34 turn on Buffs debuffs with do that..
"behind the curve" isn't this a game we play for fun?
there is a competitive side to it that most youtubers part take in so they think everyone else does to
I stopped playing ESO for many of the reasons in this video. Especially the ridingskill and stuff like it. Half a year to have a max mount/a really good mount. Or just pay money IRL. I miss this game, and I used to love it. But the outdated and Shitty player experience/unnecessary inconvenience I will probably never come back. And I own almost every single expansion for this game some even more than once. And shop items. The facts that a lot of this hasn't been updated makes this (especially esrly game) just way to stupid and Shitty. I hate how upset I am about this game and how much I wish I could tell people to come play it, but I tell them anyone to just avoid avoid it like the plague unless they are specifically looking for time or money sinks.
Sounds like you may have not played many other mmorpgs. The riding skill system is actually very friendly for players and something pretty much free in every sense. You get riding increases from : daily 200 coins which is not much at all, a new player can farm in seconds ; as a reward from leveling up at certain levels ; and often as a monthly gift.
Get lvl10 go to alliance training to get the speed buff skill for mounts then also train it it's not that bad
I'm just curious what system you're playing on? I only play on PC and mine doesn't look like yours. I've been playing off and on for 10 years and I'm just a casual gamer so I was just wondering if this was a addon or something else like Xbox.
Number one and only mistake a new player can make is make a low level legendary dont do this purple is sufficient about level 25 to the fifty grind. Delvs and dungeons are essential for building brand new player
This video is not about the truth cript of heart is a good starter dungeon run.
Joining a alliance with a store makes it possible to make gold buy checking items and prices gold is easy to get from delvs and dungeons
I play on Xbox and I am a level 481, and Jewellery crafting is level 38 but it won't let me research Jewellery traits still . I've got 4 traits doing Quests, is there a glitch?
Not sure how you are stuck, but some basic trouble shooting : 1) Make sure you own Summerset or have ESO Plus; 2) remember that some jc is pvp-based and through other methods : buy through guild traders if necessary ; 3) for writs make sure you have visited Alinor. Forget npcs name by crafting area.
Looks like I accidentally avoided all the mistakes 😁
Lol i never saw that portal room! The game always glitches out after i make a new character!
you prob skip the tut
@@MidasLich no, as soon as I finish creating a character, the game hardcrashes. On series X btw...so kinda strange.
I recently picked up playing after a pretty long break ( stopped shortly after Morrowind ) so I definitely wanted the tutorial.
Wait, the heck is that new tutorial? We no longer have starter zone gating behind alliances? The fuck?
Okay in this you said that you should unlock all your guilds including fighters guild mages killed and undaunted well I've went to the undaunted several times and they won't talk to me I mean on maybe 10 minutes after I started I found a mages fighter guild thiefs guild and the undaunted guild but the people at the undaunted guild won't talk to me they just say this table is for undaunted
It might depend on your chosen Alliance, and which zone you're in. If you're AD, you need to chat up the Undaunted in Vulkhel Guard, Auridon; if you're DC, it's Daggerfall, Glenumbra, and if you're EP, then Davon's Watch, Stonefalls.
If you already knew that, or it's still not working, then I dunno what else to tell you. Pretty big bug in that case, maybe...? ^^;
Thx Hack.
you drop the BEST tips for all of ESO players. especially No.1 big mistake as you talking about it.
Wait can you do any starting zone ragardless of alliance or donyou need an alliance change token
Any zone. Wayshrines should be available after character creation
I stopped playing in 2019 but came back for the Arcanist a couple weeks back, recently got the neck mythic that reduces light and heavy attack damage by 99% but buffs you in crit damage and pen, Am i still wanting to light attack weave just for ult generation or are the Arcanist ult passives enough to compensate not doing so? Considering you're beaming for 4-5 seconds anyway most of the time.
You should still light attack to proc glyphs and build ultimate
Don't start looking for builds and create them before you reach cp 160.
Matter of this is completely false you should meditate find a🎉 set you want to work with find a alliance ask for help building a good training set for instance vampire kiss training set has built four for me so far
i started on high isle and i loved the game. (free zones, nah kinda suck)
i still dont get the sticker book thing, cuz it doesnt seem to work that way or i misunderstand it. I try Tempest dungeon for overwhelming set farm. I run it solo a few times and still get mostly the overwhelming or other set items that i already have collected... like today i got like 4 times the sash while i had it in my sticker book for ages.
Have you earnt all the armour from that dungeon?
Remember, weapons and jewellery will only ever drop from the boss (or chests, which are random and don’t take into account what you have in your sticker book). So if you have already collected all armour, then the mobs are just going to drop random armour that you already know.
Other than that, I have no idea as I’ve never had an issue with it since it was introduced to the game (one of the very few things I haven’t had an issue with in ESO 😂)
the only curated drop from dungeons is the one you get from the last boss - that one will be a new item not yet in your stickerbook
Level scaling made all the quests completely pointless in this game.
whats the warden build at 16:08 the guys is wrecking shit with those crits
Ive been playing for over 100 hours and did not know about followers…
Mann I just want them to add cross play the Xbox eu servers are so dead it’s not even funny
I just love how this game completely throws this 'meta'-hype down the toilet. There are so many options and complicated routes to doing just about anything that it really takes quite the difficult content before proper builds between several players start to matter down to the last CP. Same in PvP. I found my game, at long last. So sick of following the guides of people who already figured out the game for me in just so I can join in on content. It really has ruined MMOs for so many people out there.
The biggest mistake is following on of your guides.
having always on sometihing is criminal.
