      Just a suggestions for builds, if possible obviously because making a guide takes time + editing, I'm interested in detailed rotations...because I'm new and DDD (dumb damage dealer :) ).

    • @supertrexandroidx
      @supertrexandroidx Před 2 lety +4

      @@dBm_drillingbits Good luck trying to do any kind of regular rotation if you're soloing a dungeon. I would just advise you to spam aoe on mobs, and make sure you keep your dots up on the bosses. Plus, I mean, a specific rotation is going to depend on your class, and a video like this is obviously meant to be more general.

    • @dBm_drillingbits

      @@supertrexandroidx yep right. I only managed solo fungal 1 :)) the rotation is not really for solo to be honest, it is just to understand how some builds mange to do constant >50k and peak 100k. Me as noob I’m happy to get out alive and I’m uber happy when I mange 50k dps. 🥸

    Tri-stat potions 10:54 "expensive".... let me share a little secret that many are not aware of. You can craft your own Tri-stat potion that is identical to the purple crown store one by combining Bugloss, Columbine, and Mountain Flower and you can do so for free. Those herbs are free for the taking out in the world. Give it a shot and thank me later ;)
    Great video, Hack, much love and keep up the good work and Happy Thanksgiving to all.

    You know back when I was still very new to CP and still didn’t know how to dungeon delve solo, I had a very weak build and my antisocial mindset made it so I refused to ask for help. With the dungeon AND with my build. So I had no idea how to get better and just threw myself into a dungeon that dropped a free pet. I can’t quite recall which one it was, I think it was Rimmen Necropolis, but my weak ass spent literally hours a day for three days or so learning how to dodge the specific boss moves perfectly so I took absolutely minimal damage. I handled it like it was Dark Souls and I ended up soloing the dungeon way weaker than I should’ve. All because I handled it like Dark Souls and not like an mmo. So my advice for soloing is RESILIENCE, I proved you don’t have to be strong to get sh!t done. Now that my builds updated and better it’s obviously easier but there was a huge sense of pride in beating group bosses solo as a weakling

      This is what I needed right here. Thank you, I love elder scrolls lore and actually enjoyed the game. What I despised was the group mechanics in dungeons. I’ll never forget getting laughed at because a sorcerer came in and said he was the tank. This was years ago. Anyway I said don’t we need a tank? The reply was this game is better because it destroys the whole trinity outlook on mmos. I played eq and eq 2 for many years. I knew this was going to be interesting. Needless to say we didn’t make it far. I know anybody can tank. That doesn’t mean you should though and the reason I was done after a month. My wife took over my final fantasy 14 account as well as my free company so I need something fresh. If I can just solo everything and not deal with stupidity I’m in. I’ll try to group if I can but my mindset after reading your comment has encouraged me. Do you solo dungeons all the time?

    The easiest thing for me during this Undaunted Event. I pick the easier dungeons (ex..Fungal Grotto) and I just stage 4 vamp stealth run through the dungeon. I will stop at chests and bosses that I cannot skip until I reach the final boss. Kill boss and get the Undaunted Rewards. This is on a pretty standard magplar build, wearing purple gear.

    Great Video, love that the armory lets us goof around with more set-ups. My next crazy hybrid idea is a solo build that tries to stay just under 50% health to auto crit on Arterial Burst. I just don't know whether Bound Aegis or Revealing Flare is going to end up being better: Bar 1
    - Bound Aegis or Revealing Flare, Bone Wall or Empowered Ward, Crystal Weapon, Arterial Burst, Elemental Drain. Bar 2- Bound Aegis or Revealing Flare, Resolving Vigor, Stampede, Hurricane, Simmering Frenzy (Spell Symmetry when accessed). I am prefering crystal weapon on front bar for slightly smaller heal. I hadn't thought about the shield weapon enchant. Have just been using improve armor and spell resistant pots with no regeneration. Stage 3 or 4 vampire, fire resist jewelry, bunch of tri-stat glyphs, 40kish health, witchmother's potent brew, mundus gear and crit damage mundus stone. Gear: Shadowrend (1 light, 1 heavy), Rattlecage (Jewelry & Weapons), Spriggans Thorns (5 medium)

    One note about companions, I'd like to add is that they can cause problems in boss fights. For example. in Arx Corinium the first boss is a giant snake with a bunch of Lamias. The other night I go in there and go after the lamias first. The companion shoots at the snake causing the snake to go after the companion. The companion retreats back down the hallway and the snake follows. So far in fact the entire encounter resets, just as I had wasted the last of the lamias.

    Some years ago, I took my healer into Wayrest Sewers 1 for the hell of it. Solo'd pretty nicely.
    I've recently gotten back into the game, and my healer's equipment has since seen some improvements, between deciding on a second set and upgrading my gear. I'll definitely be looking into soloing more dungeons. Eyeing up Hexos' Ward too, but not sure if I want to trade Mother's Sorrow or SPC for it (because healer; Templar for those sweet class heals).
    Also contemplating solo stuff with my Nightblade.
    This vid should help me figure things out for future solo runs! ^^

    Soloing dungeons has been my favorite past time in ESO since the game started. But it seems like it was harder back then than it is now. Don't know if that's due to my own skills or the constant tweeking the game does.

    Using spirit healer and ring of the pale order is great on my necro for any solo stuff, extremely good healing with aoe attacks on large mobs. I often wear ring of the pale order when I get a not so great healer in random queue ups also. Leaching armour added to that is even more survivable with large mobs.

    I have done random dungeons, where the healer leaves, and my companion Mirri (who is set up as a healing) replaces the missing healer and does almost as good a job as the average healer. • @IgorRockt
    @IgorRockt Před 2 lety +1

    I've done a few solo runs of Fungal Grotto 1 with just a level 21 character with a (mostly off-the-shelf) companion. It takes a bit longer (about 25-30 minutes), and you should be sure to have some area healing (so you heal both you and the companion, otherwise they will just die too often), but it's more or less easily doable. With bosses, I'm normally able to keep the companion alive until the boss is down to about 45% or so, then I have to finish them off alone. Make sure to not draw too many "extras" when going into a new cave - start with the closest ones, the others often wait a bit until they join in the fun, so make sure to kill the first ones off fast. Be prepared to die from time to time nevertheless, especially, if you've not mastered a good rotation yet and get into a crowd fight.
    I've soloed FG1 with chars in the 20s level range as well even before companions, but it takes another 5-10 minutes more in that case (and you'll die more often, too).

    • @IgorRockt
      @IgorRockt Před 2 lety

      PS: the lowest level character I used for soloing FG1 (with a companion, though) was just level 13 (nope, no second bar yet...). Took ages, but I actually didn't die too often, either! :-O

  • @JLawL
    @JLawL Před 2 lety +6

    I've been doing solo Grotto 1's in about 90 seconds per run at on Stamsorc for boxes. So much faster than waiting for queues and not much slower than being in a group. As far as companions and healing goes, unless you are running a taunt, your healer is going to pull so much aggro that they really don't get much of a chance to actually heal you. So either run a taunt or grab Mirri for the best "cheap" dps, or Bastion for the best "cheap" tank. Bastion ends up being the best at literally every role once you get enough companion gear, and by enough, I mean ~15 million worth of gear, so don't stress over that xD

Now when I start a new character when I hit level 10 I join the undaunted and solo my first dungeon, even with horrible white gear, some level 2 even, and no champion points I can make it through now. Experience makes a huge difference, you just need to get out there and do it.

    Also anything with a stun or knockback will usually interrupt enemy channels as well.
    Edit: obviously this is something most people probably know, but this video doesn't seem to be for most people. Hack mentioned interrupts, but not that sometimes it says "knockback" or "stun" or "off balance" in the actual skill description.
    I left the word "usually" because I've had times where these times of skills just didn't work. Could just be a glitch or a network thing. That said it's important to remember that you can't spam these skills because the enemy gets a period immunity just after. It's not a long time, but it can feel like a long time in the heat of battle. If you tank, then you are probably used to things feeling like it takes forever, though.

    Can’t stress enough the idea of getting shields, heals and potions up before you take damage. Potions are less about the immediate flat stats they give and much more about being consumable buffs. You want to go into a fight with an extra 30% regen, not wait until your resources run out. Even if you’re just using the trash potions you pick up, you don’t want these buffs to run out.

    Some dungeon have multi player mechanics. You can't do it solo even extreme strong you are.

    I have a tip. MAKE SURE YOU CAN ACTUALLY SOLO IT. THERE ARE SOME DUNGEONS THAT REQUIRE MORE THAN ONE PERSON. I MADE IT TO THE LAST BOSS TO FIND OUT THAT I NEEDED ANOTHER PERSON TO HIT A 2ND SWITCH AT THE SAME TIME.
    STAY AWAY FROM DLC DUNGEONS. THEY ARE BUILT IN A DIFFERENT WAY.

    I accidently bought a dlc not realizing its group dungeon. Now I'm here cause 20 bucks down the drain and I cannot melee solo the dungeons. Sigh. Lesson learned.

      @@geraldclark9280 you can only solo base game vet dungeons and normal mode dlc dungeons. You still need a normal tank/healer setup for trials or hardmode dlc vet dungeons. Some dlc vet dungeons can be done with a tank/healer hybrid and 3 dps, but it takes experience.

      That’s why I quit years ago. I’m coming back but taking a completely different approach. I raided for years on eq1 and 2 then over to final fantasy 14 which my account got taken over by my wife who now runs a guild. I’m not a fan of ff14 end game but that game does grouping right in my opinion. When games started making the whole every class can fill any roll is when I knew mmos were doomed. There is a reason why ff14 is the number one mmo right now. I love the elder scrolls lore though. It’s what’s bringing me back now but I will never forget my first year with this game and doing group dungeons which I normally love (I’m a loot whore). When I asked who was the tank and was told any class can tank. That’s when I knew to keep my mouth shut because mmos were evolving away from the holy trinity of tank healer dps. I will probably never group in this game or look for a guild and I know I’m gonna get tore up for saying this but pvp in a fantasy mmo just doesn’t fit in my opinion. Leave that to Fortnite or cod. So I definitely won’t pvp, I hated it in ultima online and really to me only one game did it right and that was dark age of Camelot. Pantheon rise of the fallen will be the old new that us older asses will gravitate to I’m sure. If it ever comes out. Buy yeah, I know this is a quality game and can be enjoyed. Just don’t go in thinking this is ff14. I don’t and will not play wow so won’t use it as an example. Once again I know I’ll get tore up for saying this but wow brought a specific group of people to the genre who bitched until they devs gave in and simplified a genre that wasn’t meant to be simplified. Which is why mmo games are in the state they are in. Mostly garbage

    Frankly, soloing normal dungeons in this game is a huge NO in my book. Simply because the bosses takes forever to kill, not because of difficulty.

    Solo'ing group content defeats the purpose of group content. Sure, you can brag you did it alone, but what's the use? Its not like solo'ing group content translates into real life skills, and you did it ALONE, robbing yourself of a fun group experience. I'm able to solo dungeons too with my build and my companions, but I choose not to. I'd rather be playing with other people. In the end, solo'ing is a hollow experience, because you did it alone, while doing them in groups helps you build relationships in the game so you can go onto vet content with them, like I've done. And I'm speaking from long experience here, 20 years playing MMOs, and 5 years in ESO. Encouraging others to be independent and do everything alone is the same thing as telling people they don't need any friends, and can live all alone without any human contact. Its an MMO. It has group content. This game is meant to be shared with others. While I understand being powerful enough to solo group content is "cool" and all that, it requires you to be a loner. Just my two cents.

    ESO community has to be the most brain dead gamers ive ever seen, and ive played BF2042. I just started playing like 4 months ago, and my first week i realized tanks and healers are pointless in dungeons outside of vetDLC. Just have a dude with a taunt, and a couple sanguine altars... i think the issue is many MMO players play these games like candy crush... just somrthing to chill and see pretty colors. Meaning no one wants to actively have to pay attention and.... *actually play the game*. For bosses literally all you have to do is make sure you have enough stam to dodge the heavy attacks. Ive been fake tanking since like level 20... i decided i was going to go real tank when the dungeons got harder, but they never really did... people sit in que as DPS for HOURS.... FOR NO REASON. Queing as tank you get insta que...
    Really wish this game wasnt so easy, the gameplay is great.
