Did my one bathroom 20 years ago - wife was a little understanding for the long weekend, but definitely wanted a functioning shower by Monday night. Great job so far!
We are enjoying the videos and it certainly reminds us of when we did our bathroom remodel.
When I did my Bathroom remodel the only thing I didn’t take out of the bathroom was the toilet, although from time to time it had to be taken up to do the flooring, etc but I would make sure it was put back after till the next day. I would encourage you to just take everything out but the toilet and take all the drywall off and then you can redo everything at one time.
Like you mentioned the kitchen sink comes in handy for brushing teeth, Etc And for taking showers I just did it the old fashion way and stood in a large plastic basin and Washed with water and then took that water and put it in the toilet. It was only for a little bit that we had to do that but it was totally worthwhile for fixing the bathroom and doing things All at once, like taking out the wallboard and putting in new insulation, Etc.
I also would encourage you to get a fan that also has a light and a heater fan. Although there’s lots of things I love about my bathroom remodel having an electric heat fan has been fabulous and really helps decrease the humidity.
I think that's a great idea and I hope he follows this advice!
There are some remodel videos I watch that takes 30 to 40 minutes. Sometimes I find them a little too long. However I watch yours and I think they're way too short and I want more!

Wow! The "treasures" you find behind walls! I have to finish flooring in my dining room, paint my living room and hall and put in new flooring, then on to the bathroin. As i watch you do yours I'm absolutely dreading it!! The walls are horrible from old wall paper and old white cheap shiplap...and then there's the tub. Old cast iron so i cant wait to see what they do with your tub. Keep up the great work! Look forward to the next one!

Watching you peel the onion on this project. I am debating with myself, did they extend the bathroom then add in the handicap bars later, or was the extension and handicap bars added to make it handicap accessible? Either way, I am assuming an older person lived there before you and they modified the structure to make it easier for them to get around.
O man, I worked all day and missed you.... what did you do? show me! Wow ots getting deep, I do believe in the end it will be a total redo. Leaks, nest, mold ugh! The memories of the bathroom that just kept offering up more damage! The story of my young Life!

It's interesting how there are some things that to modern code (the new water lines) and then the sewer/drain pipes are like "nah, we can MacGyver those ourselves!" (Although, having to choose one or the other, I'd rather have good, clean water coming in...js) Looking forward to the finished project. (Miss the dog and the wandering beer tho!)

HomeDepot vanity. I hope you put something better in. When I did my bathroom, I bought a cantilever vanity. Hangs off the wall with nothing sitting on the floor. A much cleaner look and easier o keep clean.
I would recommend a programmable timer for the fan, so you can set a timer for 20 minutes or so, leave for work, and it shuts itself off.

Whatever you can do in a vanity, you can do in a kitchen sink, temporarily.
