last time i did window units in my house i took all the foam out and loaded it in a dishwasher with a bit of bleach for the first run and then two times more with dishwasher detergent on the hottest wash. foam on top rack and grille and filter on bottom. the filter came out like new. the foam came out well too.

18:00 - probably you use wrong material to seal it, you have to use a membrane instead of airtight tape. Now the water will condense inside of the insulation during the cold time of the year and you will have to change the whole window.

Cut a straight cut of a to size of measurement no need to angel cutting and fill with water resistant putty on the cut line and your done all that Angelina is to much extra work I wouldn’t put the material insulation as you see do to weather is molds over I would fill with weather spray foam. Good job tho

Is anyone having issues with mold, especially on the blue cylinder thing. I just did a deep clean because it was so furry with mold and there black splatters of mold within the encasing. I clean the filter very regularly too.

Akways wear PPE/a respirator and have proper ventilation/dust control when cutting into concrete, that dust is no joke.

7:26 going to be a little more particular than most people would even be concerned with, but you will notice that you learned the hard way during this process not to pry channel locks against drywall... wall went from not dented to dented during the splice followed directly by your advice not to pry against the drywall. One additional tip, if you place the wood/trim that you are prying against flat against the wall rather than angled like you did, you shouldn't get that corner dig in the drywall like you did. Again, not a big deal, yoy were able to quickly adjust and finish the job, but newbies might have a more difficult time if not being mindful of this. Especially if you have the prywood outside of the covered area. Good luck!

I just installed this air conditioner last night. With the help of your video it made it a lot easier. Without a doubt it’s the best bedroom air conditioner I have ever bought. I got it because they said it was quiet and it is quiet. I don’t have to blast my TV now because of the air conditioner noise.

Many years ago I had white railings and when they started rusting the city was all over me to paint them, my son suggested I paint them to match as close as possible to the color of rust and they look Great, they blend in so much better than white, I have noticed after almost 15 years they are starting to show signs of rust, I will prep and repaint the same color. I will credit the prep and Rust-oleum for the results.

Thanks I just used Thoroseal again the first time was 30 years ago when I was 35 I scrapped off the material that was loose and cleaned up a bit more and mixed up Thoroseal into a bucket to make to consistency of thick pancake batter and applied with a large masonry brush. I now have a small very small leak in the floor. Up in the northeast it has rained more in three days then it has in many months so the concrete slap can’t take all of that pressure. I will now use what you are showing Thank you. I’m now 67.
