the advantage of the capacitive control is no noise when using. The part when you say "This is the blue Yeti without processing - it would be better if you gave us a few seconds of silence to evaluate the background noise.
@@kennethadams9322 there's a lot that depends on and the kind of sound you are going for. My MV7 sounds better than my Yeti X ever did unless I am doing a podcast with someone else in the room.
if u hear no difference its because either you're on your phone or your headset sucks, i watched this on my iphone 13 and heard no difference but i came home and watched it on my pc and i can hear the difference clearly
Andrew, question... Is there a USB mic that sounds closest to a Rode ProCaster? I'm making video and definitely want the mic out of the video, so it seems that requires a USB/ condenser mic. I'm just tortured cuz I love the sound of a Rode ProCaster. -- Your videos have been massively educational (and funny!) for me. Thank you!!!
If you don't have enough for the blue compass or it's too big for your desk the Samson mba 28 is a really good boom arm for the yeti it holds up really well
the blue yeti which i own it terrible. picks up every noise, background noise is awful and it changes your voice and makes you sound like you are slightly robotic.
I've checked Blue's site and I do not see FREE software anywhere. Granted there seem to be better free sound production software available online elsewhere the point here is the Shure MV7 has FREE plug and play easy setup software for free with the mic. I only see the Yeti Pro, mind you for $20 more, coming with any production software
@@selw0nk 9 months ago and It seems like that comes with the software package for Logitech headsets they made with Blue and not with the mic in the video.
The Shure has a nicer sound to it. As an engineer and singer I would recommend the Shure MV7. Hands down one of the best.

You should do MV7 vs Yeti X! I want an Mv7 but no one is comparing those two.
Also the Logi G Hub and Blue Sherpa are the Blue software systems
My yeti x sounds better than the mv7

@@iwifia right now I have it hooked up to a focusrite scarlet 4i4 audio interface. Do you have any advice for the shure mv7 settings?
@@kennethadams9322 I use a GoXLR so I couldn't tell you. I just put everything flat and adjust each frequency one by one for my voice and setting.

Yeti sounds like having a conversation.. mv7 sounds more like an announcement..
Sorry, but the background music is so annoying.
Thanks you so much for the review.
so is the blue yeti shock mount compatible with the MV7?

What software do you use for recording video and screen?
thank you,very helpful.
Amazing review
Mv7 is better imo
blue yeti monitor volume can be changed in the windows audio settings under the output device.
Were you using the mics through the roadcaster pro?
would the mv7 be good for a deeper voice or what would be the best mic for a deep voice?
I think MV7 would be better for this with dark processing and compression. To test.
I think Yeti has fuller sound, but Yeti has a little bit too much sybilants.
I must be having my settings wrong. My blue yeti x sounds better than my shire mv7 while streaming on twitch
Yeti is the clear winner. Sounds so much better
I own both the shure is way better.
@@KevinWilliams19723 For Shure ;)
The shure blocks out more background noise and sounds more professional while the yeti sounds more natural but is scratchy
For his voice the yeti sounded way better but as a person who owns one go with shure
@@theoutsiderjess1869 xD whart ... yeti have boosted high and sound like shit
Wanted to listen but I can hear the background music more... sorry leaving. :(
Lol i hear no difference at all
The yeti does have software. Im literally looking at it right now. How much did they pay you to lie?
