- Jala Neti is an ancient yogic cleansing technique. In short, it entails pouring lukewarm saline water through the nasal passages. It's not only easy but highly effective. This helps combat seasonal allergies, sinusitis, improves clarity, alertness, sense of smell and brings about a snese of lightness in general. It's absolutely necessary to learn the technique well. As the results will be more rewarding.
I highly encourage you to read my blog linked below as I go into greater detail about this practice. As always use caution, consult a doctor if you need to before you begin if needed and learn from a yoga teacher if possible.
Let me know in the comments below, if you do this or if you tried it after watching this video.
I'll see you next week with another yoga video. Until then, enjoy your practice.

The best neti pot instruction Video! Thanks a billion!
This simple method is highly effective. Your presentation is very clear and helpful. Thank you so much.
This was so well explained! The elbow trick really makes a lot of difference. Thank you !
Yes it changes the way the water flows: D
@@ArundhatiBhey.. What salt to put and how much per 500ml?...... Home salt is not good as it has iodine right????
Thanks for this video! I often find that my clients have a hard time actually doing neti (I did too when I first started doing it), and this is a great video to share with them!
Very nice :)
Thanks for this video. I learnt to do this when I was a kid from my grandfather's yoga teacher. As an adult, I've been facing nasal polyps & severe allergies but am restricted in lockdown. I started doing jalneti daily six month ago and I've been sleeping better and feeling calmer. Sharing this video with an American friend who is having breathing issues as well.
I hope it helps your friend too!
What kind of breathing issues?
If you really want to cure your Sinusitis you have to go with Ayurveda
I myself was suffering from Allergic Sinusitis and dust allergy for the last 1.5 years and was also taking homeopathy medicine which showed some results in beginning but overall was just a placebo. I stopped taking those.
Then I took the holistic way of solving this problem i.e, I increased my immunity to allergy What I did to solve my problem:
1. Daily Sunbath: I took 30 minutes of sunbath daily as per guided by the Satvik Movement CZcams channel (Why - Because there is a strong positive correlation between low level of vitamin D and nasal allergies proved by many researches) My timing was 7 am to 7:30 am (15 min front body and 15 minutes back side)
2. I started having a mixture of Honey and Ceylon cinnamon (1/4 tablespoon of cinnamon and 1 tablespoon of Honey) daily first thing in the morning
3. Before having my breakfast, I started taking Spirulina tablet (Patanjali) (1 tablet daily) While taking a sunbath, I did yoga prescribed by Ira Trivedi, door darshan (For Sinusitis) and The Yoga Institute Channel 4. I stopped all my dairy consumption (for atleast for starting 1 month), but I ate ghee daily with daal
5. I stopped eating junk food and stick to homemade nutritious food made by my mom.
6. Your goal should be to improve your immunity and all your sinus related issues will be gone
7. I also have Inflammed nasal turbinates so I did a nasal massage prescribed by Austin Goh on CZcams. Trust me these natural ways of treatment will do wonders like no medicines
8. Trust me if you do all this all your problems will disappear in a matter of days, and you'll see the difference from day one itself.
Your polyp gone after doing this? Actually i m suffering of polyp
@@AhamYoga mujhe running nose 👃💦 ki problem huyi hai 3 days abhi bhi hai kya main jal neti try kar sakti hoon?
This was a good demonstration. Thank you for sharing!
You're welcome:)
The tutorial was wonderfully done!
Explained the technique so beautifully, most of us do it wrong, Thanks❤
So glad you mentioned about water NOT coming out of the other side of the nose. This was happening with me and I thought I was doing something wrong. I will continue giving it a try. Thank you!
Hi, did you succeeded to flow it thru the other side of the nose? I have the same problem. At some point it starts going thru my opened mouth or even to the ear, but I just cant get it from the other nostril
@@ivovodev3052Inhale from your mouth
Thank you 🙏I was scared to do this.... But your way of explaining is so nice that in first try only I did it. 🙏
Wonderful< Congrats!
Thanks a lot ! I was afraid of doing this since long time, but finally got the courage to try it today. And it was so easy. Thanks to your instructions and demo. After the procedure, my nasals feel so fresh and light.
Even I am planning to do it. I will this pot. How much does it cost you, can u tell me
You can get the plastic one for 150 and the steel one for 625. I recommend the steel one as it can be used for lifetime, whereas the plastic one needs to be replaced every 6 months
@@siddgoen Okay thanks. Ek cheez aur. Mene abhi try kiya thodi der pehle and ab mere ear and halka sa head me dard ho rha hai. Although end kapalbhaati kara tha isko krne se just baad, but still. Can you pls help me
@@dimpledua7019 It could be because of either water not drained completely or some water has entered into brain area. No need to worry, it will be fine after some time. Next time ensure that your head is in correct position while doing the procedure. Also follow the video to expel the extra water from the nostrils. Take care
@@siddgoen this is why I am scared
I learned correct way of doing Jala Neti in my 300 hour yoga training from Aham Yoga, I have lot of respect for this studio.

Very easy to follow demonstration. Thank you so much !!.
Thank you so, SO much! I was nervous to try the neti pot and was afraid that it would be uncomfortable or painful. Your instructions were so encouraging, informative, and I've successfully done it a few times now without any issues! Thank you!

Nice video. Informative 👍🏾
I'm suffering sinusitis for almost 7 years and a doctor prescribed this recently. But i was not aware about how to use. Thank you for that.
You looks👌👌😍
Hii, thanks for giving proper jalniti info
This was a very good demo
Breathing with mouth makes the flow easier and not letting water flow back to throat
Elbow lifting is the other
Finally breathing out all excess water
Thank you so much for such a wonderful video
The rinse helped me in breathing free back after a.mild dust.allergy and congestion
OMG!!! This is works like miracle.
Had neit pot for past 1 year but never used it for lack of guidance, gave a try after watching this video it was that easy on one go, thank you mam🙏

Thank you to upload this video 😀
It really works well. I’ve had severe allergies for years and for this past week I’ve been doing this technique my nose is clear and my coughing and sneezing has almost completely gone away. Thank you ❤️🙏🏼

The pot can be cleaned with a little dish soap and thoroughly rinsed and air dry upside down on a clean towel or paper towel.

What a beautiful day 💖

Thanks for showing the proper technique...
Thank you so much for technique explanation. I am going to try this and am a subscriber now! 🙏🏽
Very neatly done, today i finally did jalnithi, Tq
Thank you for this clear, direct, concise instruction. I think it was made more encouraging because you were outdoors! I had a very clearing experience, this was my first time ever. But I think I might have a very blocked left nostril. I never knew why I could no longer blow my nose thoroughly, and the limiting factor is the left nostril. I will keep at it, this ought to be very interesting! (no pain, head/neck/throat etc...I have just not been able to thoroughly blow my nose for over 20 years. Can't wait to see what happens ;-). Thanks!
Did it help?
How are you doing now
Keep doing it eventually it will open and clear
Thanks a lot for the video, great explanation.
I started just by watching your one video. My doubts are cleared here. You are the best. 😇🕊🍰🌈🌻✨

Clear and concise
Thank you🙏
I am gonna try this tomorrow for the first time. 😊
Have tried this many times previously with no success. Agree with the other comments about lifting the elbow which really helped. Thank you for the video.

You're welcome!
How many times it can be done means daily ?
I use hot water from the tap and cool it to luke warm and add kitchen salt iodine free and do Jal Neti. It's the easiest thing to do and so helpful during these covid times.
I especially do it once i return home from outside . And of course once before going to bed.
It somehow makes me feel very healthy and clean😄😄
Can we use drinking water from water purifier?
Please don't use tap water! You are exposing yourself to many pathogens
Use cool boiled water 💦
