Hat trick for the East Coast!
Scandrett's year has been one of the best of all time.
Ed Scott's win feels more like recognition for 5 years of elite consistency.
I feel like Ed did a lot of the stuff Scandrett did after him and then some of his own stuff. Nobody has been even close to as influential as Scandrett throughout the year. Also I don't know if Scandrett having about a billion views on his Instagram over the year makes it so they feel they don't need to give him props or money because he's doing fine on his own.
@@pg_jemyea it unfortunately seems biased bc Joe already has a following and what not but they passed him up to many times for it to make sense any other way. But they gave him the “Bail” award which seems underhanded tbh. And not to hate on Ed but that award should have undoubtedly went to Travis or Joe.
Ok like oldschooler i think i know why they decided like that. Even tho the best wow effect and influence is on Scandrett side, overall best atleate is Ed. If you look in competition side you can clearly see Ed is good at everything, no sorry he is excelent in everithing. And thats what is parkour about. Being able to overcome any obsticle.
@@-Mintyy Travis? No shade to him but you realise Elis can pretty much level up anything travis can do, maybe apart from some kongs/jumps, but Elis also has bar tricks miles ahead of Travis and Ed for that matter. He was absolutely robbed in this
@@willacheson5682 I almost feel the same way you do because of how utterly peak physical he is, but 2 things. 1: this is Storror's opinions 2: I agree with the reason Storror didn't give it to him. He didn't have enough outside free style material as opposed to his competition stuff. Yes he is a brilliant athlete but thats not always the point.

Great choices, I mostly agree with you except for 2 awards:
1. Joe deserves at least one award for what he has done to the sport this year.
2. How could you forget about best parkour animal? My boy Ninja deserves that for sure!

Yea gotta agree on #1...... how does Joe get through this video without any awards, other than the bailout award? Kind of makes me uncomfortable... I think they kind of botched these awards, just for that reason alone.
Ed always missed the First spot very very close now it his Time. He has done more technical explosive stuff than anybody. ( Elis will be the future of that so give Ed his price now)
Joe is the King of novelty with explosive high techique inbetween sometimes. But Ed always goes Kork double twist thunder bolt . Consistency on the highest level He deserves it

It's really cool to me how much parkour can look like dance at times. I saw stuff that looked a lot like contact improv in the most original movement segment, and it's a big part of why I love Josh's style and flow. People are using the poles and walls and space as partners to build movement and pieces and lines around and I think it's a really beautiful new way of appreciating urban spaces, even if it's not intended as such. Big up to all out there being creative in such an incredible way, it's absolutely inspiring.
An hour and 20 minutes of pure parkour. Nothing beats this. I loved the video

Loved watching this , im 50 next year , i was a bboy in the early 80,s and a skateboard rat late 80,s til about 5 years ago , its incredible to see a completely fresh aproach to the urban landscape with parkour , we used to check out street spots all the time back in the 80’s to progress our street skating , little kerbs and ledges turned into big drops and handrails , i just saw that progression with loads of amazing athletes im about to start following on the back of this , ive enjoyed and learned so much about your incredible creativity, keep up the great work all you amazing athletes that make us old gits smile at our screens ❤❤❤

Yea Joe earned that All day. Storror is oddly biased towards him for some reason.
I think Ed does deserve it. I mean Joe is an incredible athlete, and in his style he is really ahead of everyone. But I feel like Ed is really more well rounded as an athlete. He can attempt many of the stuff that Joe does (of course not everything) while also being really good at more classic pk stuff like kongs, precisions, side pres and other stuff that you don't see Joe doing.

Whole heartedly agree. Also Hazal in my opinion was great, but there were better females out there.

ngl i was hoping Joe would win Best Male, he's been killing it these past 2 years and he inspires everyone to try new stuff as well. Ed does deserve it for being more technical, a perfectionist really, and now branching out a bit, but I feel like Joe really stood out the most. Everyone's doing pole slides, that's all Joe.
I was rooting for Eckert to win Best Female but tbh Lola fully deserves it. She's been sending scary stuff!
