You're so productive with your writing, I admire you so much for it! I started writing my novel at the beginning of 2020 and it's still far from being complete. But to be honest I need to take a couple months break after each intensive writing session, at this point I've decided to take it slow and just write when I feel like it (because it's probably the first and only novel I'll ever write). It is project sunflower, and it's a YA romantasy with marriage of convinience, royalty, golden retriever and black cat relationship, and touch him and you die. I am literally in love with this project!!!

blurbing can be sooo hard sometimes!! if you want a trick that i've found semi-helpful, it's actually to use chatgpt! maybe try giving them a summary of your novel and have them crank out potential blurbs and looking through those might give you somewhere to start :)

I immediately thought of the house being an escape room with a level of danger - the deceased lady being a bit ‘off’ and thinking that putting them in peril would be what binds them together. I’m heading in a family drama story for Nanowrimo myself, but regardless of the genre, we’re all dipping into that deep well of inspiration. I haven't written much in a long time, but I decided to get back into it this year. I got an idea for a novel a month ago and since I decided to do it for NanoWriMo this year, I've been so excited. I always love this time of year but it's even more special now. Although the thought of trying to write so much feels daunting, I'm looking forward to that feeling of community. Now if only my NanoWriMo book idea could go a week without morphing into something new lol. At this point, I can't even tell what my novel idea is anymore. It's so different from what it originally was. Oh well, at least Preptober just started so there's still time. Great video as always. Have a great Preptober!

I like the romance intertwined with a bit of mystery, definitely sounds like a slowburn kind of story; reminds me of this one game I was playing on my phone (you know those "storyline" word-based games that never end and the story just keeps getting longer and longer lol). You're definitely not alone in the rush to finish preparations for NaNo... I'm right there with you, knee-deep in plotlines or lack there of lol i'm sooo overwhelmed. So,, i just got reminded that nanowrimo exists and that i planned to join like for ages, but i really don't know if i should. I kinda feel overwhelmed with my studying, especially after this first month i feel my energy already dissapearing, and i still need to work on projects outside of uni, and stay in touch with people and my hobbies, i really don't know if joining will do me good. But i feel like i need this, since i struggle to get words down on the page, and nanowrimo might will help me with this. So yeah, trying to figure it out
some years participating in nano is definitely more of a struggle when it comes to balancing everything else along with it! those years (like this year for me) i like to participate but take the pressure off of it so that i don't get overwhelmed! if i end up completing the challenge, great! if i get 10k words total instead of 50k, also great!

Love your NaNo premise! Word of advice, though: in my country at least, the inheritance tax is usually so large that if two people were to be given the ownership of the same house, they would have to sell the house in order to cover the taxes probably depending on the overall value/amount of the inheritance (and of course what the two people can afford on their own without selling the property or if they have something else they can sell to cover the tax and keep the new property). That's my impression at least. So depending on where your story is set, it might put some time limits on these people for owning the house or the arrangement overall, you might want to familiarize yourself on your story's country's taxation rules. The second thing that popped into mind from plausibility's standpoint is that if these people are going to live there together for a period of time, they are probably both gonna have to be in a situation where they are already planning to move out of their current location when the house is dropped on them (unless the other wants to move into the new house out of spite towards the other character, but again, one is probably already ready to move when this sudden inheritance comes to their lap). Both of these things can be really good for your story, though! Like even if they stayed in the house only for the time before they find a buyer (or finance to cover the tax themselves), it sets a positive ticking clock on your story and sets some stakes from the get-go. :) Good luck with the story, I hope these musings were helpful to you!

Me too, I recommend just angling the camera to where it just shows your notebook, computer, or wherever you're writing.
