I have a question it for Friends that owes EFI skidoo’s I notice when it’s below -25 or lower it has hard time starting up plus the spark plug in it is BR8ES is no good after a month or less is it ok if they put BR9ES ones cuz does are a lot better when it cold.. so let me know if it ok to put does on
Is the oil injection pump mechanichal or electronic.
I hope the cooling is up to snuff, or I’ll run my 550f until 2-strokes are banned from use. I NEVER have overheating issues with my skandic. Pulling loads or otherwise.
I was worried about the same thing and I will say in 550 miles or 885 km towing a sleigh or hauling a passenger or both we never had a issue and it was a very mild winter here. We did run scratchers in the spring but more with the intent of saving sliders not for cooling. We have a expedition sport and I highly recommend.

I have got a 2024 mxz with 600 EFI, it runs rough when i first start it, almost wants to stall out, once i give it a couple throttle taps it seems to smooth out.....anyone else experience this ? does it every time. brand new sled
yes just experience this the other day. had the sled for a few months but just started this? DID You find out why?

Hey BRP! Bring back the manual Pull Start not just a emergency rope. Starter can’t even start the engine on -30°c or below.

More affordable, reliable, and its not a mountain sled. But they still have other 600cc models with 130hp

It takes the place of two engines; the 550 fan, and the 600 carb. Improvements in many areas, and compromises in a few.
I wonder if you can put a can on this???

How far on a full tank?
the 600 ace gets about 28 mpg so i would guess anywhere from 150-250 miles.
About 600 miles on mine so far and it averages about 13.5 mpg
Efficiency that efficiency this....... Where are the actual numbers at?

If there is no direct or semi direct injection than the MPG won't be impressive. If it was they would say so. The idea on those more advanced methods was to allow the exhaust port to closed before fuel is injected to air. Has to be quick and for piston already above top of exhaust port heading to the top. Thus, no fuel is lost out the exhaust part as is the case with methods that pull in fuel same time as it pulls in air. It must be torquey, like an old 2 stroke Enduro. Is should reliable for not stressed. If it juts had 9x HP rating ,It would much be more appealing, more like the 1999 600 MXZ that had decent reliability but period reviews said under powered. I would be happy at ~100Hp, but today for me it also about MPG. I think Polaris new 650 is very nice bu,t at the moment but new and too pricey vs their 600. Marketing. I love ski doo, but disappointed in this engine technology decision. What a would another $500 have done for example.
How fast do the 600 efi mxz go. Top speed???
I don't know of that but I do know that the normal 600r engine they had for a while has 125hp this has 85 so I think it would probably slot just under that top speed and that info should be available as the 600r been out for a while
Like 70mph. A 600r is good for like 105mph so this is a lot slower.
My 600 ace mxz had 60 hp and weighed more than this, and I could get it to 75-80 on perfect conditions.

My key switch/reverse isn’t working on my 21 tundra 600 efi 3month old all fuses/solenoid/starter and battery are good we tryed changing the keyswitch/solenoid still wouldn’t turn on nothing juss fuel pump turning on I need help.. everything works fine it’s just it doesn’t wanna start turning the key and reverse doesn’t work when skidoo is on by doing bypass
Arctic cat has been running “EFI” engines since the late 90’s.
so has polaris, not the point of it
But cat doesn’t use the e tec system normally. This is a dumbed down version of the 600r e tec that’s more affordable and less complex.

It's their budget 600 that is essentially replacing their 550 fan engine. The 600r is still their main high-output engine in that class
@@heybubbah I thought Bombardier was committed to the clean 2 stroke...is the fuel injected into intake port or transfer port?
@@captarmour i do not know, but all new engines have to meet EPA's criteria, so I can only assume it is clean?
