    50% more power and 77% more torque than the ACE 600 engine. The ACE 900 engine achieves up to 23 mpg (10 L/100 km)*. And for a first in snowmobiling, it uses the Intelligent Throttle Control System (iTC) for added efficiency and functionality. Choose from three driving modes, simply by pushing a button on the console: Standard, Sport and ECO mode. Plus, Learning Key technology limits performance for novice riders.
    *Data based on BRP engineering testing on GSX LE in its ECO driving mode.

    Ski Doo addresses the problem. It is why they gain market share. Cat and Polaris rider for over 50 years. They just made a new customer. The ACE engines are the first step to fixing snowmobiling. Thank you BRP.

    Hello everyone, I´m glad that there are a large number of fans and enthusiasts of the Wankel engine and 2-stroke engine, the truth is that they are good engines, but due to the increasing pollution problems are increasingly scarcer.
    I have developed and patented two Hybrid Rotary Engines both 2 and 4 stroke, along with a new thermodynamic cycle "Cross cycle", that improves the cycles: Otto, Atkinson, Diesel, Miller and the recent HEHC Liquid Piston Engine.

    Steve, I wish I could get 23mpg on the etec, I'm closer to 16mpg on my etec 600.... It took 2000 miles to get it up to this point too. I used to get 20mpg on my etec 600 backcountry, but the gearing/clutching on the adrenaline is much worse for economy.

    Paul Gelinas snowmobiler since 1959 same year as the introduction of the "ski-dog", got a kick out of this.

    What's the weight in comparison to a 800 eTec. As far as mpg I ride a 600 eTec averaging 23mpg with what I've seen the same performance as the 900 Ace.

    An ace 900 is a triple and pushes 90 hp, as Yamaha phazer is a twin 500 and pushes 80 hp. :-/

      Thomas Perry 97.3hp at 7250 rpms. phazer 78.4hp at 11500 rpm.. 900 ace has much more torque.

    The amount of snowmobilers is in decline because of fuel prices... If you think the average Joe can afford riding 80 miles for a $50 fill-up, you are nuts. I run an Etec 600, which I think it better than the ACE, but its more expensive too.

    They should make a 700 ACE for a little more power! 2 STROKE SLEDS are unreliable GAS GUZZLERS! Although 16MPG on a 600 etc 2STROKE isn't bad at all! I'll take the reliability and fuel economy of a 4 stroke on a SLED considering GAS PRICES are consistently around $3.50 a gallon! My Kawasaki KDX 200(2 STROKE) motorcycle gets around 58 MPG! Compared to Honda xr200R(4STROKE) 60 MPG! A little Different on WHEELS!

      @BambiOnDayZ Před 7 lety

      I don't know why you use caps like that. But you do know that while 4-strokes are generally more reliable, when they do break they are much more complex to fix and WAY more costly.

      I only ever hear that argument with snowmobiling. With dirt bikes, quads, and motorcycles it's a long since settled argument. I have never had to Crack open any of my four stroke toys, some of them are from way back in the eighties. My two strokes on the other hand, have been rebuilt plenty. I call bs on the argument that two strokes are really any cheaper outside of extremely niche applications.

    No, sleds don't need more electronics, people need to be smart enough to take care of the ebrake themself! If you seriously cant tell that your ebrakes on you should probably try a different sport!

    Ace built for maximum torque and fuel economy,unlike yamaha's high revving motorcycle engine's, ace engines designed as a snowmobile engine, not borrowed from a motorcycle and put into a snowmobile.
