I was surprised by how good Chicago was the first time. And Rob Marshall’s previous work behind the camera encouraged me to watch it.
Interesting to learn how musical roles are being commenced, created and performed.
That's why Renee was brilliant as Roxie.

Only other actress who could play Roxie was Gwyneth Paltrow. I kid you not ! Have you heard her sing ?! She sounds Incredible !
Charlize Theron was originally cast as Roxie, but when Rob Marshall took over, Charlize was fired. Charlize confessed this herself.
