The space we were leaving between our back 4 and our midfield was ridiculous. The fans made a 700 mile round trip spending their hard earned cash to watch that debacle. The players need to have a good, long, hard look at themselves, if you give the ball away you have to have that desire to bust a gut to track back 60, 70 yards to prevent the counter attack it's a non negotiable. Credit to Plymouth who had that desire to get forward when we turned the ball over.
Your exactly right it’s one of the things I said right after the transfer window, we have no defensive mid. Sorensen can’t be relied on as he spends too much time injured, and no one else in the senior squad plays like it. A team that plays fast, direct, attacking football has easily shown our flaws because of it. Our two centre backs are slow to top it all off
It’s the bane of every football fan. Can your players put in that extra effort or not ?
My favourite part of this ****show is how surprised Chris Goreham is that Idah can score from a penalty kick.
Your commentator is right that there was no need for the Norwich player to get in the face of Bali Mumba after the (rather dubious) awarding of the penalty. Unpleasant and unprofessional. Argyle had a nightmare on Tuesday evening, you had one today. Swings and roundabouts, Don't all lose your minds. Finally, congratulations to your travelling support. If you watch it closely (The Football League show has a brilliant slowed and zoomed version of it) you can clearly see the foul was committed outside the box. Should have been a free kick, not a pen

Yea, exactly, it is only one game Mr Janner, plenty of title winners in the Champ or Prem have had a thumping in a season. Though, I think from a Norwich perspective, that is the heaviest defeat at the Champ / Second tier since 1996 . . .it was unexpected given Norwich were top scorers in the league and Plymouth are not Real Madrid but as you say, don't lose your minds. Norwich are inconsistent though. Last season, we hammered several teams, then slumped.
@@captaininspector8898 Oh Captain, my Captain fair enough but just one small correction. Since the beginning of last season Argyle have a better home record in the league than Real Madrid. Don't believe me? Look it up and see.
Coach and ticket was 95 quid, plus there was a 5.30am start and a late night return.

I did the same coach journey for the infamous Glenn Roeder horror show in November 2007, mercifully only three-nil featuring the notorious 'Plymouth six' that never played for the club again. Fair play to those 1,600 that made the schlep this time around and especially those that stuck around for the full game and kept supporting regardless (but also let them know at half time/full time just what they thought of the 'performance').
...Just had a dig-up of my attendance stats:
I was one of the 566 away fans in a 11,222 crowd.
It was almost a full decade before I returned to Home Park for a non-Norwich League One game (a 4-0 loss to Scunthorpe with a Plymouth red card; 9,605 crowd that day inc me & my partner) whilst on holiday down there early in the 17/18 season!

Lack of pace at the back means we are open to counter. Lack of bodies in midfield mean we are open to being overrun. Lack of confidence in the team means we are open to getting hammered. Lack of depth on the bench means we are not open to changing a game. Unfortunately it is now clear that a run of poor form will continue till Christmas and poor Wagner will be gone.
Interesting for the fourth argyle goal,, Norwich defender decides to hitch up his shorts, at a crucial time, instead of giving the task in hand his full commitment. 🐎😎

Surely it's time now for the team to admit that the defence and keeper are not up to the task. At first it wasn't really an issue because we were playing easy teams but this goes to show that this can't continue

This was such a great game to watch in person! I honestly thought this would've been a low scoring draw game but was very surprised of the result. The Norwich fans I give kudos to for always singing and dancing throughout the game even when you was 4-0 down, it never dampened your spirits 👌 Great 3 points for the greens 💚

I know Hardie was offside but I can’t tell if he actually touches it. If he did than definitely offside and shouldn’t have counted but it also looks like we was pushed into the ball so not sure if that matters. Regardless, 5-2 win is still awesome as 6-2 💚Plymouth fan, cheers 🍻

A lot of people saying Argyles first was offside. Hardie (9) left the ball alone and so didn't interfere with the play so no offside call...
It's a questionable one. He left the ball alone but blocked the Norwich defender from intercepting. Who cares we scored another FIVE hahaha

Harsh to blame DW too much for this. The players lost their heads and lost their shape towards halftime. They're in for a very tough week of training.
After watching the highlights, or should I have said lowlights, it appears our defence is pathetic. I noticed two city players running into each other as a Plymouth striker leaves them standing and goes on to score !

not saying Hwang or Idah are necessarily bad, but without our 2 strong Strikers Sarge and Barns we aren't intimidating enough to cause the opposition to fall back. as well Nunez who has moments where he can be a game changer is also missing from the game. Our team will be back, but for now, we will have to deal with a dozen more poor performances.
Just change the tactics to serve these players you now have... players are high quality. Idah can be alone forward.

Everyone will get a battering this season as they do every season, in at least one game. So, no, that is the first game this season it has happened. Prior to that, it was Norwich dishing out the batterings and that is how they were top scorers in the league.
