we’re starting to see discounts similar to pre-COVID on some RV.

    Hi Matt and Andrea! My dislikes are:
    1 The couch is in the way when pulled out as a bed for the bathroom.
    2 The bed is loud going up and coming down.
    3. Don’t like the bathroom
    My likes are:
    1. The awning and the outdoor kitchen
    2 Love the kitchen
    3. Love the pantry
    Thank you Matt and Andrea for showing this Mirada

    That rig runs rings around the 700k American Coach you featured the other day. Aside from the couch/bed blocking the walkway, the Mirada is a dream! Oh, one other thing. The door over the kitchen should open to the side because taller people wouldn't fit under it. Mirada does seem to have a bit of a head-bumping issue 😉

  • @mswanson2504
    @mswanson2504 Pƙed 2 lety +7

    I actually like the bathroom door. It does not block the walkway when it opens, so less chance of accidentally hitting someone with it. I like the trifold sofa but it’s too easy to hit the fireplace and it blocks the walkway. I agree with everyone that the overhead bed is too loud, too low on the weight capacity and the mattress is way too thin. The outside kitchen needs a single burner cooktop. Otherwise, I love the floor plan and layout of this motor home. I love the fireplace/TV directly across from the sofa. Great outside storage. Very bright inside. Love this one.

    • @optimisto
      @optimisto Pƙed 2 lety +3

      The key piece of engineering on that door is that you can get into the bathroom with the slide in. If it were a full width door, it could only provide a narrow opening due to the angle AND would block access to the bedroom when opened. I feel that a regular swing door would be hated more.

    For the price this is a nice unit. I was glad to see the sofa vs theater seats. Since there would be three of us and the overhead is useless, that is the better option. Granted the hallway is blocked but since the bathroom is free, all good.

      Just don't see the fascination with stackable washer dryer. You take up that space and carry that weight to use once a week, maybe. That's why camp sites have launderettes, to save you taking up that space and weight. Find me an RV that has a weight of less than 10000lb and gives me 15 mpg and then your on the right track!

  • @j.j.austin2225
    @j.j.austin2225 Pƙed 2 lety +1

    I can’t believe they put a couch in that position when it was opened fully not only the fire hazard of jumping over the bed but the fire hazard of the corner of the bed almost touching the glass on the fireplace which does get hot if you run the heat option! I could see that being a bigger badder fire hazard! I fell in love with the coachman leprechaun many years ago and this really surprised me that this was so not “thought through“
 add that to the horribly designed bunco with a cab with a 300 pound limit and I think they need to go back to the drawing board on this one! Thanks Matt and Andrea for a wonderful entertaining experience watching your video!!

  • @theintersectionofinsanity7111

    I really like the washer/dryer in a shorter rig. The bunk over the cab isn’t a deal breaker, neither is the bathroom/radius shower. I’d go for the optional theater seats instead of the tri-fold sofa in THIS rig, because of the way it blocks, but in general, I do like the tri fold sofas. Good review! Thanks!

    Nicely surprised with the decor, great storage inside, and stackable W/D all under 35ft. I like it!
    I like the under-bed storage as is, I wouldn’t want what Matt prefers, it’s less storage.
    But I do hate these toilets that are up so dang high too. Yes a trifold couch is better than a jacknife couch bed for sure, so no big deal someone may have to climb over the corner of the couch bed to hit the bathroom, at least they’ll have a better sleep than they would on a jackknife bed. Lol, sorry but I don’t see a fire hazard here, climb over the bed corner or climb out a window, what’s more difficult, lol. And the over cab bed lift system sounds like something is wrong with that motor being that loud imo, but I do like the cabinets under that bed instead of being up in the bunk, as their easily usable n accessible and they are more storage!
    Oh and I think I saw seat belts on the couch too, nice! đŸ»

    So this is basically a cheaper Encore 325SS, our coach!! Everything the same except Encore has heavier frame , our CCC is 5200lbs, we have 22.5 tires, theater seats , and the seating under master bed. I thought the trifold bed would be great for extra sleeping, we could use that, but it just about hits the fireplace,, and blocks the bathroom so that doesn't work! But if your on a budget, and want to save money , this is still a great unit, we love the stackable washer / dryer and huge pantry.

  • @johnsorensen6800
    @johnsorensen6800 Pƙed 2 lety +1

    A couple of things... First, on your exterior walk-around, was the slide pulled all the way in? It looked like quite a large gap between the slide and the body which would create quite a bit of wind noise and maybe water leaks while underway. Second... The overhead bunk. I HATE that the cabinets lower with the bunk. If something happened that you could not retract the bunk to its full up position, the coach would be undriveable.

We travel with two pups and can keep more items in the cabinet. Our toilet is not elevated and plenty of room in the shower. Glad they went to a compressor fridge as to a residential. Wow!!!! What a great model. 1st love
that pantry is out of this world!!! Absolutely love it as we are avid cooks. 2nd favorite is the double awning/ kitchen, yet don’t give up a lot to exterior storage. 3rd
really liking the kitchen!! Did I mention we cook?
    Now
really hate those pivot bathroom doors. Really lose door entry size, especially when you are a “big boned gal”. Definitely would make that change if we decide on this unit. 2nd thing
what’s up with that motor for the overhead bunk?? Wow, it is really loud and 300lbs??? Very disappointed with weight limit.
    We are in the market for an RV and this layout and ‘plus’ items are really great. O Vince me to buy it Coachman!! Matt
we want a big discount!!!! 😃

    Should have had combo washer dryer which would have given space above for detergent and other stuff for washing clothes, or more hanging space for clothes, or whatever!! Love the BIG dinette table,but there's no cup holders. Could have done without such a BIG sink, instead a single deep sink which would have left more countertop space! Is there no space for the stinky slinky? Didn't see a rear stinky slinky holder. The over cab bed is noisy, plus does the TV swivel? If not, would be hard to really see from the dinette since it's more attuned for the sofa.

    Ok motorhome with some short comings. 1. Overhead bunk is very noisy it sounds like a slide going out, and not enough weight capacity. 2. Dinette table should have cup holders. 3.The sofa when made into a bed, blocks access to the bathroom from someone sleeping on the bunk or dinette. 4. The switches access inside a cabinet sucks, you have to remove things in order to get to the switch panel. 5. Small bathroom that lacks storage, and the toilet area is not wide enough with the pedestal. Thank you for your review.

Also, how did they drop the ball on that pull out sofa not only being a fire hazard but making it impossible to really utilize the whole RV. You definitely would have to pick someone sleeping on either or. The storage does help a lot when you are traveling or living full time with a family.

    Dislikes: Radius shower, bunk over the bed only holds 300 lbs, the narrow toilet placement. Likes: outdoor kitchen, stackable washer/dryer, good tv placement

    This unit is supposed to be able to tow up to 8000 pounds? Depending on how you load it and the trailer/tongue weight was that correct? You said 5000 pounds?

    This unit does have optional theater seats that would be a much better option and not block the isles. Not sure about the bathroom though.

    I got another thing for a comment too what about the awning outside why in a one big piece to two piece I really don't like two piece because in the water comes between both of them and get you wet or get the ground wet you should have been one big solid awning thank you

    Gas stove is a no go. Put in induction cooktop. How is it that Ford still doesn't have a thermostat for the cab heat/cool? Is there any sound insulation for the engine? White cabinets look cheap because they are cheap. The hatch on the outdoor kitchen is too low.

    one dislike - the bathroom cupboards are blocked by the weird door - you have to go all the way in and shut the door in order to get to your stuff, and there isn't really a 'medicine cabinet'.

    Let me add something NOT to like about this Mirada and the 2022 315KS Mirada. The exhaust pipe for the engine and the generator both run under the wet bay. When connecting the sewer pipe and the water hoses through their respective access holes, they can come in contact with the exhaust pipes and end up laying across the hot exhausts melting a hole sewer pipe/water hoses. Something we have noticed on our 2022 315KS. Coachmen should reroute these exhaust pipes.

    Those ovens don’t even look big enough to cook one Cornish game hen in there perhaps you guys can have some plastic props of a fully dressed Cornish game in in there and fit them into the ovens going forward lol
