This is one of the nicest motorhomes in this price range that I've seen. The only thing missing is an outdoor shower. Maybe one can be added in wet bay. As always, fantastic job to Matt and Andrea. "Stay healthy, happy, and safe."
From all I’ve heard RVers completely agree with you on the carpet issue. Newmar used to have carpet throughout the bedroom but listened to folks and used the same flooring throughout instead. As for the carpet edge in the kitchen and bedroom, those are due to how much higher the inner edge of the slide is from the rest of the coach floor when the slide is. out. The cost of a slide that comes in truly flush with the floor is high as I understand it. Also, that slide is super long and not all slide mechanisms can handle it. In Newmar’s pricier units they do use a more expensive slide. If you glance down you can readily see the edges but there’s no stubbing of one’s toes anymore. At this point it seems to just be $$$$!
One thing I noticed right away is the lack of cup holders on the dinette table. I also wish the trifold sofa had the option of being replaced with theatre seating. I agree with the others that the carpeting has to go. (The 1990's called, they want it back.) I love the kitchen, despite the fact that it only has a camp-sized refrigerator. The matching panels do a great job of making it look bigger but, sorry Matt, it's not. I love the storage and pantry, counter space, microwave and stove, two bowl sink and more.
I’m in the beginning stages of going full time RV life. So far of the thousands of videos I’ve seen you give the most accurate reviews. I have a million questions after watching your videos. But I’m at least 2 years out, waiting for the oldest to get his masters degree. I don’t know when is the right time to start asking you questions? I would appreciate anyone that can tell me when to seriously start asking questions? I’m trying to learn as much as possible before we buy something seriously expensive.
The storage to the right of the refrigerator should be a pull out pantry. You will never be able to get the stuff out that is in the back of that little cabinet. Also why doesn’t the gas have a locking cap?
Good question. None of them do that I’ve seen. The Mercedes Sprinter designed it so that the gas cover can only be opened if the driver’s door is opened. Clever fix for diesel.
Great review. I agree totally with the outdated look of this motorhome. Even the outside paint design is old. The wood panel refrigerator, the microwave and carpet. Yuck. Get rid of the carpet, get rid of the wood paneling on the frig, put in a gas burner WITH an induction burner stove top and a convection microwave. Slap on some solar panels. Lighten up the cabinet color and I'd say you have a winner. I agree with others that a queen bed would be better so you have space around the bed and room for small side tables. I like the window instead of a headboard but I also think the side windows are nice for a cross breeze. I like that there is no tv on the outside. I have one now and have never used it. It seems like it would be disruptive to other campers. I like that there is no drop down bunk. The pantry needs pull out shelves or drawers. It's a Newmar, put in roller shades! Never known Newmar to cheap out before. So sad. I like all the storage and love the dog bone backsplash. I think naming this unit to reflect that it's a smaller/couples unit would be better than "sport" (which it definitely isn't), would be a marketing plus. As it is now, I would not purchase but if changes were made, this would definitely be on my list. And Matt, Andrea is right about the frig size. Sorry.
Showstopper. Nowhere to sleep with the slides in. Also agree on the carpet and shades. And I’d probably keep putting my elbow on the leveling control panel. Love the bathroom and the elevator.
I totally agree with your dislikes. Newmar refuses to give up on the carpets. Wish it had an overhead bunk which is probably available in another similar model.I love the short length while still getting a king bed, big bathroom and shower. Still like the televator along with Matt Groban.

I love it when Matt sings "You raise me Up" when putting a televator up! I just checked the website. It's an 8 cu ft Norcold fridge. What's the usual size? Anyway, here are my likes & dislikes: +Televator across from a 3 seater couch, + flip up counter in kitchen and ++ that huge, what's Andrea's SAT word?, "Ginormous" shower for a small motorhome (not quite), but I thought it would be funny. #1+ being able to get a Newmar for $168K. -- the exterior doors opening up (unless they have magnets) and, if the bed was a queen size, there would be more room around it and to access that storage on the wall.
At first I was like wow a sub 30' Newmar, giggity!! Then full body paint giggity, giggity!! .... and then the delorean flip up doors with carpet in the storage bays, it just went downhill from that point . I'll say I agree with Andrea and you on the bathroom that was the high water mark on this Rv. I echo your sentiments on the review of this " Couples " Rv . Newmar you should market this , this way and rebrand the "Sport" badge into something like " Classic " or something else , it is not Sporty sorry. One true dislike , the carpet in front the stove that will show every stain , wear mark and hold odor, that has got to go . Also at 169k no bunk over the drivers area. Newmar this is a good platform but it needs some serious updates and retooling. Keep at it and another great review M & A
Matt the shades are nice..I have the same thing in my dinning room. I also like the carpet in the bedroom and I like the colors of the interior. I like the storage doors that open upward just like the Greyhound busses do. It keeps the door out of the way.
Hi Matt abs Andrea! My dislikes are the carpet and the doors that flip up outside where it’s hard to open because of sides. The needs darker shades is my third. Likes: length under 30, Newmar quality & finish, "commanders" bridge. Dislikes: need slide out to use bed and combo no headboard, no pontoon table between seats, and... No solar (not even solar ready as far is i could see). Great video, as usual.

I wish they would give bed options! Not everyone or every family would need or prefer a king bed. I would much prefer space to walk around the bed. I love the driver's seat and the passenger seat.
It’s beautiful but I agree w/Andrea, no carpet! Also, why are their valances right next to the stove & sink? They are going to get splashed and get dirty. The bedroom feels a little claustrophobic & underwhelming but I love the living room area and can area. The body paint is 😍
I’m excited that Newmar has an option for state and national parks. Overall, I love this RV. Huge bathroom, good quality materials, good storage. I think we would exchange more pantry or wardrobe space for the king bed. We prefer queen. I’ve never really fallen in love with the farm style look so I don’t mind the darker cabinets, but I think the carpeting on the slide outs, in the bedroom and on the dog house, scream dated. Good storage. Surprised it doesn’t have an outdoor TV for tailgating. Great ladder in the back. Great wet bay. Driver side is nice, disappointing to see carpet in the cockpit. Bad blinds, great TV placement with the televator, great storage under the dinette. Kitchen doesn’t have a ton of countertop space, but great pantry. Don’t like the bed not being usable with the slides in. Great shower and bathroom. For this price motorhome I would expect a drop down bunk above the cockpit.
I love love love the bathroom, I love the dog house (Looks Comfy) and the bed, do not love the carpet type, do not like the under storage...Overall looks great for a small class A
Great review Matt :) Being a newer motorhome owner the slide out safety on my class C sure had me going once until I realized the servo motors operating the slide are disabled when the engine of the motorhome is running.... I laughed at myself, but felt whew!!
I'm all for smaller motorhomes, but there's little I like in this one. The carpet, the motorized TV, the storage over the cockpit, how the outside doors open upwards, the price...

I mean it’s 28 feet 11” inches. I also love that the black tank dump is separate from the clean water area. You both look amazing today. Cheers!!!
The nomenclature used by Newmar depicts the length of the coach in the first two digits and the floor plan in the second two. Thus, this model is 28 ft (but we all know it is not exactly 28 ft) and the floor plan is plan number 13.
Love the bathroom, the floorplan, storage. Yea I wish they did a lighter color for the cabinets, with a small unit, it looks more roomy if it cabinets etc. is light color.
Queen that doesn't fold up, but has the storage underneath is needed. Very disappointed in the very tight space up front when sides are in. While the blind should have been MCD, don't feel it is that dated of a MH.
Agreed, I’m not a fan of the carpet, that odd tiny cabinet in the kitchen / odd cabinet in the bedroom, and the outside storage doors should open out not up. Also those shades,.. there are much better options available these days. And like Andrea, I like a lighter, fresher interior As to likes, too numerous to mention. It’s very livable. Love the cockpit area. The televator is perfect for viewing. The dinette is perfect for two. The storage under the bed is awesome! That IS the best bathroom. And so much more.
The cushions with the "lumbar support" is because they were mis-positioned (too low). If they had been velcroed correctly the cushion back wound have been flat. Pull the couch out & you would have seen the error.
Matt welcome home from Albuquerque , hope you had a great Balloon fiesta . Did not care for this particular color , love the hydraulic slides , it's a Newmar but where is the Power reel ? Also do the Love Bugs come standard equipment .

Once you've pulled up a carpet, you're never going to want it again. Anywhere! Washable rugs! Storage everywhere much too small, but love the bathroom!
Yes I agree with your assessment of it being outdated, very old fashioned ,stodgy and dark ,bad blinds ,carpet. Lighter ,brighter farmhouse ,shaker cabinet doors would improve it greatly. Thank you for your continual fantastic work !!!
I love the kitchen in this motorhome. The counter space is great. Also love the bathroom, especially the spacious shower. I do not like the carpeting in the bedroom at all. It’s a no-go. The window shades are also a big dislike. Otherwise it’s a very nice motorhome.
The floor plan layout is perfection 100% agree with the smaller dinette / the couch is a big miss with the back lumbar bump if you're going to have a lumbar support you HAVE to have high back seating or your head will always be pitched forward and thats really bad for upper back / shoulders and neck ( ask any ortho doctor or physical therapist ) too dark, they need to stay with lighter cabinet colors, Love that the seats turn and the passenger seat has TV viewing ability. Really bad idea to have carpeting ( gonna smell like feet a couple months ) gotta have the swing open doors for us older folks ...why is this something the RV industry cant seem to wrap their heads around?
Hi Matt and Andrea! I like the layout of this coach…don’t like the carpet, WoW! The bathroom is the best size and layout and cabinets space. Where’s the over the cab bunk? Hmm, missed that extra sleep space. Would like it to be a lighter color on cabinetry…would open it up even more. Finally, I don’t like the window at the head of the bed…would prefer a headboard behind my head when I sleep. Are the windows double insulated?…otherwise I think my head would feel the cold draft during winter camping…put headboard and a window on each side. Otherwise, nice small class A. Thanks, I love watching your reviews, even though I don’t own an RV, LOL…maybe one day soon.

I would definitely rather have a reclining sofa or theater seating and you have to be 3 ft tall to use those outside cargo areas😬 but other than that there isn’t a lot to dislike👍
It is a nice small class A. I do not like the carpet. Is there still a market for carpets in motorhomes? I like that safety feature that prevents the bedroom slide from coming in without the bed being folded. That will save a lot of people. To make this motorhome perfect for my family, I would like a bunk over the cab. I wish the generator was on the driver (service) side of the coach. I'm sure there is a reason why. Great video as usual guys!
Likes: Cell phone charging station in the dash, fiberglass roof, and the televator. Dislikes: Small 19.5” wheels, when slides are in you can’t use the bed, access the storage under the bed or use the kitchen sink, and the blinds in the kitchen.

I’m going to have to watch this again! I do not like accordion window shades. Don’t like window as a headboard and especially do not like the carpet! The bathroom is very nice! The king size bed is very nice. I also like the storage spaces. The paint job looks very well done.
first, lol - According to specs it's an 8 cf, maybe 10 if has ice maker, but still, small, so Andrea more right than not. Looks bigger because of bar between compartments.
Love the videos, you two!! I appreciate the format and the enthusiasm from the two of you!! What I appreciate is the space in the living area and the bathroom. I also dislike the carpet….nicer to go with a wood laminate look throughout. My husband is in a wheelchair, and I will be adding an after market chair lift to get him inside. This RV is nice and spacious so I can help him around without having to purchase the larger accessible models which I am afraid to drive.
Great class A for the money. Pretty much all of the negatives are a function of cost so to me the carpet, top-hinged door, decor and shades are a function of cost-cutting. If you want these problems solved some might be addressed in a custom build but really just buy a baystar downside is the shortest baystar is 30' 11". The fridge could be the 10 cu ft model but the 8 is standard. The 10 comes with an icemaker as in the video but the options list says you can get an ice maker with the standard model you just lose the pantry and this has a pantry?? The only real negative for me is no bed with the slides in. Positives are the price and the head unit on the dash angled towards the driver unlike what is done of the baystar.
It’s a 8cuft two way refrigerator.. I’ve been watching this channel forever.. sorry Andrea but Matt is right lol.. but overall I like this motorhome 👍🏾
This coach doesn't seem to have a lot of exterior storage. All the bays have other stuff in it. Also, the blinds are icky. I like shades (daytime & privacy). I agree with Matt & Andrea about the carpet, it's gross. Tha bathroom is nice & the TV is nice too.
The only thing I dislike about this coach is the carpeting. Otherwise it’s a beautiful coach. Love it.
That little cupboard is probably for the sink covers…we had a spot in the Tiffin for them.

Queen that doesn't fold up, but has the storage underneath is needed. Very disappointed in the very tight space up front when sides are in. While the blind should have been MCD, don't feel it is that dated of a MH.
I think the kitchen is a little small, but not bad. Love the oven but wish it was a little bigger. Very nice bathroom.

Agreed, I’m not a fan of the carpet, that odd tiny cabinet in the kitchen / odd cabinet in the bedroom, and the outside storage doors should open out not up. Also those shades,.. there are much better options available these days. And like Andrea, I like a lighter, fresher interior
As to likes, too numerous to mention. It’s very livable. Love the cockpit area. The televator is perfect for viewing. The dinette is perfect for two. The storage under the bed is awesome! That IS the best bathroom. And so much more.
The cushions with the "lumbar support" is because they were mis-positioned (too low). If they had been velcroed correctly the cushion back wound have been flat. Pull the couch out & you would have seen the error.
Matt welcome home from Albuquerque , hope you had a great Balloon fiesta . Did not care for this particular color , love the hydraulic slides , it's a Newmar but where is the Power reel ? Also do the Love Bugs come standard equipment .

Once you've pulled up a carpet, you're never going to want it again. Anywhere! Washable rugs! Storage everywhere much too small, but love the bathroom!

Yes I agree with your assessment of it being outdated, very old fashioned ,stodgy and dark ,bad blinds ,carpet. Lighter ,brighter farmhouse ,shaker cabinet doors would improve it greatly. Thank you for your continual fantastic work !!!

I love the kitchen in this motorhome. The counter space is great. Also love the bathroom, especially the spacious shower. I do not like the carpeting in the bedroom at all. It’s a no-go. The window shades are also a big dislike. Otherwise it’s a very nice motorhome.
The floor plan layout is perfection 100% agree with the smaller dinette / the couch is a big miss with the back lumbar bump
if you're going to have a lumbar support you HAVE to have high back seating or your head will always be pitched forward
and thats really bad for upper back / shoulders and neck ( ask any ortho doctor or physical therapist ) too dark, they need to stay with lighter cabinet colors, Love that the seats turn and the passenger seat has TV viewing ability.
Really bad idea to have carpeting ( gonna smell like feet a couple months ) gotta have the swing open doors for us older folks ...why is this something the RV industry cant seem to wrap their heads around?

Hi Matt and Andrea! I like the layout of this coach…don’t like the carpet, WoW! The bathroom is the best size and layout and cabinets space. Where’s the over the cab bunk? Hmm, missed that extra sleep space. Would like it to be a lighter color on cabinetry…would open it up even more. Finally, I don’t like the window at the head of the bed…would prefer a headboard behind my head when I sleep. Are the windows double insulated?…otherwise I think my head would feel the cold draft during winter camping…put headboard and a window on each side. Otherwise, nice small class A. Thanks, I love watching your reviews, even though I don’t own an RV, LOL…maybe one day soon.

I would definitely rather have a reclining sofa or theater seating and you have to be 3 ft tall to use those outside cargo areas😬 but other than that there isn’t a lot to dislike👍
It is a nice small class A. I do not like the carpet. Is there still a market for carpets in motorhomes? I like that safety feature that prevents the bedroom slide from coming in without the bed being folded. That will save a lot of people. To make this motorhome perfect for my family, I would like a bunk over the cab. I wish the generator was on the driver (service) side of the coach. I'm sure there is a reason why. Great video as usual guys!

first, lol - According to specs it's an 8 cf, maybe 10 if has ice maker, but still, small, so Andrea more right than not. Looks bigger because of bar between compartments.

Love the videos, you two!! I appreciate the format and the enthusiasm from the two of you!! What I appreciate is the space in the living area and the bathroom. I also dislike the carpet….nicer to go with a wood laminate look throughout. My husband is in a wheelchair, and I will be adding an after market chair lift to get him inside. This RV is nice and spacious so I can help him around without having to purchase the larger accessible models which I am afraid to drive.

Great class A for the money. Pretty much all of the negatives are a function of cost so to me the carpet, top-hinged door, decor and shades are a function of cost-cutting. If you want these problems solved some might be addressed in a custom build but really just buy a baystar downside is the shortest baystar is 30' 11". The fridge could be the 10 cu ft model but the 8 is standard. The 10 comes with an icemaker as in the video but the options list says you can get an ice maker with the standard model you just lose the pantry and this has a pantry??
The only real negative for me is no bed with the slides in. Positives are the price and the head unit on the dash angled towards the driver unlike what is done of the baystar.
It’s a 8cuft two way refrigerator.. I’ve been watching this channel forever.. sorry Andrea but Matt is right lol.. but overall I like this motorhome 👍🏾

This coach doesn't seem to have a lot of exterior storage. All the bays have other stuff in it. Also, the blinds are icky. I like shades (daytime & privacy). I agree with Matt & Andrea about the carpet, it's gross.
Tha bathroom is nice & the TV is nice too.
