I originally bought the Dewalt air hammer czcams.com/users/postUgkxqqoaX03nrziKwF7Bjjcc71YzLEleMvOS (I buy Dewalt everything), but was really disappointed in the lack of power. I did a lot of research and finally bought this Ingersoll 114GQC air hammer to try it out. I was actually concerned how little it cost, and was afraid it couldn't be that good. Let me tell you that this air hammer is awesome. This Ingersol air hammer simply blew the Dewalt out of the water on head to head tests. I tried both for prepping my concrete steps for stone veneer. The Dewalt couldn't get out of its own way. It consumed all the air in my 27 gallon compressor with minimal results to show. I finally took out my hand chisels and hammer and they did much better than the Dewalt. Next day this Ingersol air hammer came, and I tried it. WOW!!! I am a Dewalt guy, but not for air hammers. All I can say is this Ingersol is a great air hammer and a complete deal for $35 bucks. I took some pics and a few short videos that attempt to show the power difference. Unfortunately I couldn't hold my phone and use the devices at same time, so I did the best I could. I could only upload one video, so I chose the Ingersol; see how it shakes my hand. Trust me the Dewalt was blah...

I use a basic AEG 650watt corded drill with a diamond coring bit like on the video, works wonders

How heavy is the unit with the extension core cutter in place? The piece that fits into the core cutter as start up seems a bit of a faff and probably easy to get jammed in the cutter.
Awesome. Doubt my company has those pilot bit things that go inside the bit. But I'm sure its possible to do without them as well.
Just draw a square box and start at an angle around 4 o'clock (assuming you're drilling a wall, for floor doesn't matter). Once you've formed a crescent you can gradually straighten the bit as you drill.

There are two ways to cut an 8” deep 2” diameter hole in concrete: either on the drill stand or in handheld operation. Both are very well feasible, however for handheld operation the usage of special thin-wall core bits is suggested. Diamond Core Bit DD-BI 2-1/4” x 14” HWC (item number 405845) in combination with starting aid DD-SA 52 (item number 2069664).
In drill stand based operation the change modul equipped core bit portfolio is the right choice: Diamond Core Bit DD-XBI 2 “X17” LCS (item number 3527628). We hope that this answers your question. If not or you have any other questions, we are happy to help you out!

Yes it does go through concrete. Better water cooled though. Nowhere near as quick as this video. I've cored 6 holes with this beast now. Totally worth buying it. 👌

Not bad, but it's not an extensive test.
Only looked easy because it was thermalite/breeze block (weak bricks). Come back to me when you've cored through a Solid Class A Engineer Brick.

Personally I would turn the drill OFF when removing the guide bit if anything goes wrong it would mess up your hand
