Set up this same contest but have two carriers fairly close in line. Do a touch and go on the first carrier then immediately land on the following carrier.

How about a carrier "Landing under Fire" competition? 1st round, everybody tries to land the carrier with no strings attached... 2nd round: Everybody who was eliminated spawns in a Huey or Sopwith Camel and tries to down those on approach: Round 3: repeat, with more Camels! ets...

Well you're not supposed to catch the first wire you're supposed to catch the 3rd
Though since most of them are lined up right for their landing before having to correct I'd say that does play in a bit

If it were determined by who could perform the best landings the carrier would be moving and they'd actually care about if you're landing properly and what wire you catch
As a Geardog on CVN65 I'd be hating you all anything 20degrees off center requires a 3 hour shive and wire check because the wire off center screws with the alignment and wear the shives .
Two definitions at this point, Which are, all landings are controlled crashes and the definition of a good pilot is having the same number of takeoffs as landings. Awesome vid guys, looks like a fun game. I was wondering about the Harrier, vert landing but very heavy on fuel so might be very low by the time it gets to the carrier, thoughts?
Harrier has to be low on fuel to do VTOL but still has enough fuel to do a few go arounds if necessary
This is what separates the Navy and Marine Corps with the Army and Air Force. You can’t land like it’s a airstrip.

Round two was some of the worst flying I saw yet. You come in the opposite way and aim for the island with enough power and you’ll become perfect with the deck.

the ones trying to land without tailhooks really need to get in the region of reverse command
Those aircraft don't have reverse thrust
The only aircraft in DCS that does is the Viggen, and technically the harrier
@@treeamble585 The region of reverse command is not reverse thrust. Region of reverse command is airspeed below which you start to need more power to maintain your position.

Cap, you did not qualify for the 2nd to last round (the 1st round with the other ships with guns)...you didn't go to audience and caused a crash from #2 in line.
