Regarding the naming of the duodenum, i know the answer beacuse i never forgets your once mentioned clinical nuggets. So the name came from the fact when the surgeon wants to investigate the duodenal part of the small intestin he puts his 4 fingers together in an adducted manner and then run his hand 3 times across the duodenum from start to finish making a total amount of 12 fingers, hence the name.
