    Starting to look like you’re making some progress, slow but sure. It’s a big job to take on by yourself but you’re doing great. A staple gun will make things easier for the soffit. You don’t need to lug around the air nailer and hose. Plus you can keep the stapler in your tool pouch đŸ‘đŸ» take care

      Yeah as I mentioned in the video, my crown stapler wouldn’t go through the metal panels. Not a huge deal with the compressor.

    We in Austria finish the roof first,then do this work. Never saw somebody do this way. Please tell me, why you don't finish your roof such a long time, for I can understand.

      You need to do your trims that sit under the metal panels before you can secure your metal panels. Start at the bottom and work up. This is the first step toward getting the roof panels on.

    What’s the plan for the roof? Not sure how much longer that all in one sheathing is gonna handle the sun and rain.

    Get a DeWalt Pneumatic Crown Stapler. It will definitely go through the soffit material. The soffit looks great! I agree with the other comment that the roof should be first.

      I’m sure there are a lot of tools I could buy to make everything quicker and easier but if I did I would have all the tools and no house to put them in.
      As for the roof, this is what we are working toward. You have to start at the bottom and work your way up with the metal trim. Can’t put the roof panels on until we do the trims.

    Are the nails just to secure it until you can obtain soffit screws? Not sure what the nails are made of but if galvanized won’t they rust out pretty quickly? Love the progress thus far!

      @TriStarHomestead  Pƙed 2 měsĂci

      The nails hood the soffit fully. Nothing else is added. The fascia trim holds it all in place so no need for big screws.

    Just a suggestion, Why don't u get a roof on that gorgeous home, and back yourt van back into the furtherest garage opening before winter, & make it easier to work on thhe house

    • @TriStarHomestead
      @TriStarHomestead  Pƙed 2 měsĂci +3

      That’s what we are working on with this. We can’t do the roof until we get the soffits, fascia and roof edge trim on. Have to start at the bottom and work your way up or you won’t be able to install the trim.
