Brandon Stone is a good friend of Diana's having worked with her since she was 16. He has composed many of her original songs including this one and she records a lot of her songs in his studio. He is a singer/songwriter, musician and recording engineer.

Diana flexed a super clear D6 maintaining it for 4 seconds there, which is one note higher from what most Sopranos can hit as their highest note, since you wondered if it was a whistle note no it was not.
At that range it becomes difficult to maintain a clear note so most singers that can reach up there or higher turn their voices to whistle especially after the F6 because it is easier to produce, it is harder to control though.
Then there is a thing that is called super head voice where special singers have the ability to reach that high maintaining a clear tonality without letting their voice turn to whistle which is hard to produce but it can be controlled easier.
Both techniques are something to be proud off but after a certain threshold there is no difference to the human ear listening to whistle register, everything sounds the same so it is way more impressive to be able keep your notes clear with super head voice, that is what Diana is doing here.
Every voice that can reach up to the seventh octave turns to whistle no matter what, it is physically impossible to not go to whistle.

When the audio/video came out, I wanted a duet between the two... and here they are: Diana and Brandon performed the song 'The Day When You...' at the main New Year's concert on December 17, 2023 at the MTC Live hall. * Brandon Stone (stage name), *1980 in Tbilisi, Georgia. He is a singer, multi-instrumentalist, composer, lyricist and arranger. Brandon is also a professional jazz pianist and a top-notch producer.

That high note was a D6. Many Soprano singers have quite some difficulties to sustain that note.
So right now we know that Diana's vocal range goes from a low C3 straight up to a D6. That is from Contralto straight up to Soprano!

I do believe this particular performance was playback, due to the nature of the show they were required to do it that way. Regardless, they did record the song for the show, as Diana orginally released it with only her vocals, it's on her youtube page. Not taking anything away from the performance, just stating a fact. The Masked singer performances are also playback, except perhaps the unmasked version of California Dreaming. Regardless of the how and when, the vocals are amazing, and Brandon's voice complements Diana's nicely, he has great musicality and knows how to support her vocals.
