How's the drive after 2 months
I've had the car now for over 4 months and about 7500 km, my thoughts;
Lots of room and a massive trunk, but a bit less legroom at the backseats. The ride is biased towards comfort, but it's not feeling too "loose" and feels planted in corners, behaves rather well. The seats are fine even for a taller person like me (1m94). The controls are easy to access. No fancy complicated digital menu's for basic features, but mostly old fashioned buttons. The interior looks fine, materials are good (soft plastics on the dash) but may look less premium than some other car brands. The standard audio sounds pretty good. I haven't used the navigation a lot as I prefer Google Maps on my phone.
The engine power is good, although I would have hoped for a bit more "bite" from 160 hp. I have the manual version, it's easy to shift gears, the brakes feel good too.
The engine doesn't have any power below 1500 RPM, which can be annoying. Average fuel consumption after 7500 km is about 15,5 km on 1 liter of petrol with mixed roads and mixed driving. You can really get 20 km per 1 liter on longer highway trips not exceeding 100 km/h. Car will reach 213 km/h, GPS checked 😉
No squeeking sounds until now, all seems well built. The only annoying thing for me is the lane assist being active in default. So you have to deactivate it after every engine startup if you don't want it, but it's just one button to press.
Overall I like the car a lot, especially at this price level !

Hello and thank you. In my opinion the engine will be way good enough for the highway. The car may be a bit stiff for someone with those bigger rims (17) but it won't be a problem if you have good highways. Also in general it is always a on the suspension when the car is brand new like the one i tested :)

Hello and thanks to you 🤗. If you talk about the second generation (2012 - 2018) you ll indeed have some differences. Just for the 100% digital clusters for example and probably for some of the road safety and entertainment features. You ll have some little esthetic differences too.
This one finally has full LED headlights(only GT line trim), like the Xceed. That's the most important change for me.
@@jardonnour I think you made a mistake regarding lights. If this is GT line, it should have Full LED and not halogen. That is new in 2021 model year.
@@FreakyKiky Hello and thank you for your input. Actually our countries might differ here ? In France, to have the Full Led front lights on this one you need to take the GT Line Premium trim. I just checked and the GT Line trim is not full led 🤗

I don't understand why would you dislike the dashboard for being "too serious" one of the main reasons why I prefer this car over it's other competitors is the dashboard and those digital gauge clusters

I do not really dislike it, but I find it a bit bulky and stark / serious. This is for the main central console where there is the ventilation buttons (not the main digital dashboard). But I do like the digital gauge clusters. It changes from the older kia models with the needles. It is a very good change. But there is not much customization so far with it (though it s not the most important stuff to have either).
Nevertheless I loved driving it. It was fun with the good suspension and and nervous engine and gear changes 🤗

It is called here in french "Gris Eclipse", so it would be "Eclipse Gray".
@@jardonnour I recently get the car (that same model) and I am waiting for it to be delivered. At the dealership they did not have the gray color I liked, they had to order it, but none appears in the catalog with the name Eclipse Gray. I think those names are only in France and England. Here in Spain, the gray that I think looks like it would be the "Penta Metal" (at least that's what they call it in the catalog). Thanks for the answer! :)

i currently i own 2016 1.6 diesel 136hk ceed sw, and iti is great car for money. Did many km in it. The only downside for me is noise on the motorway. I am considering upgrading it to this petrol model, but somewhat hesitating because og mileage and sound isolation.
@@dmitrijusciubinskis5156 have you tested it ? I do not know the 2016 model (not tested) but there might have been some improvements since. But sure going gazoline will be better than diesel for overall noise 😁
