Seeing your GP - what should I expect?

In this video Dr Anisha Patel, who’s a GP and was diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2018, explains what to expect when you visit your GP with bowel cancer symptoms.
If you have any of these symptoms:
- Bleeding from your bottom
- Blood in your poo
- A change in your pooing habits. You might be going more or less often, of have diarrhoea or constipation that might come and go
- Losing weight but you’re not sure why
- Feeling very tired all the time but you’re not sure why
- A pain or lump in your tummy
Or you’re worried about any changes that you notice, ask your GP about an at-home test.
