It's a melancholy winter landscape and must be very beautiful in summer. I hope the Grimshawes and local people thoroughly enjoyed the valley. I feel rather sad, but I suppose Britons need drinking water free of fertilizer and pesticide runoff. Thanks for a lovely episode.
I went to a few raves in the ruins back in the 90's.
Another great video Leo, I was aware of the shrine and the ruins but didn’t know the full story of how the reservoir became to be. Leave no trace and only take away memories.

I always find the demolition of a sound or grand house a tad sad. Nice video.
I will buy Goyt Valley and make the Cat & Fiddle my own personal dungeon
But why did they knock down the hall I wonder? its not that close to the actual reservoirs.
It does seem weird but I suppose to the water company back then it was close enough to justify it.
