Thank you 🙂
wow.. the first time here, going to subscribe, thanks for share, awesome job.
Thank you very much, and welcome to the channel 🙂
Thanks for showing the troubles and how you tackled them, and telling what products you used to finish the surface and get the gloss. I feel encouraged to try a similar project, and I would expect similar issues... 😅 The end result it stunning, and all the little accidents like mixing the colors because you forgot the weight made the epoxy look like stone... Like jade in between the wood. - Subscribed to your channel ❤
Thank you, I always try to show my reality of making the projects, many thanks for subscribing and welcome to the channel 🙂
It has become a beatiful vase and I am glad that you did not throw it away as things went (a little bit) wrong. The vase is a gem and something very special. 🙂
Thank you 😊 I am glad also. Many thanks for your comment 😀
I love the colours! it's like a beautiful piece of art
Many Thanks, I agree the colours are very striking 🙂
It's a bute, love how you leave your resins to set up a bit before pouring so your colors stay true.
Thank you 🙂 pre curing the resin transformed the colour separation 🙂
This is such a beautiful piece. What makes it even more stunning is the hard work and difficulties you endured. I'm glad you didn't scrap it. Thank you for sharing and keep up the great work.
Thank you so much, this one really did test me, many more projects are on the way 🙂
beautiful vase, and the colors are so bright and nicely playing

Thank you 🙂I'm really pleased with it and I'm glad you like it as well. 🙂
I just love the way the epoxy turns out on your projects. Another fine piece I would love to own.
Thank you 🙂
The colors are gorgeous! I agree that the outcome was well worth it but, I didn’t have to do all the work.😅 Beautiful piece! I reminds me of a Monet garden.
Thank you it does look good 🙂 The Monet Garden gives me some more ideas 🙂

Thank you so much 🙂🙂
maybe a vacuum chamber should be next on your list of purchases for your shop? it can draw resin into porous woods, which stabilizes it while also adding to its strength, and takes care of the air bubbles and void issues. as long as your resin has a long enough working time, it seems to get the best results when used alongside a pressure pot. i like how well you overcame the problems as always, but i’m sure you’d rather avoid them if possible.
I already have a vacuum pot but when I'm pre curing the resin I don't have time to use it, though i take your point I think I will have to incorporate it into the process perhaps using cactus juice and vacuum will be something to consider, 🙂👍
Absolutely Stunning piece love the colours
Thank you! Cheers 🙂
Wow, I really love the colors on this one. Very cool. Great job bud
Thank you very much 😊
I love the colours of the finished piece. Great job and, I think, worth the angst. You have more patience and expertise than I. I have a similar chunk of resin and wood sitting on my bench while I scratch my head wondering what to do next (expletive deleted) 🌞
Thank you very much 🙂 this one definately took some patience, Good luck with your project. 🙂👍
Que genial, hermoso!!!!💖💖💖
Thank you so much 🙂🙂
You had a lot of problems with this project but the end result is stunning.
Thank you 🙂
Very Nice Work...... SHANIWAR........31//12//2022.....
Thank you 🙂
Beautiful. Needs a lid. IMO😊
Thank you. The lid is a great idea. I will try one on a similar upcoming project. 🙂
I have started using a long open time resin that has a peak exotherm of around 40 degrees. Almost eliminates the voids as the air does not expand during curing. Happy to send a sample if you wish to try?
Hi thanks for your comment which brand of epoxy are you using?
@@RestorationDIY I’ll send a link.
Thank you 🙂
One of the most beautiful pieces I’ve seen, and from a chap near me too. One question is, is a pressure pot better than a vacuum pot?
Thank you, 🙂 the pressure pot is better a vacuum pot will create bubbles in the resin as it cures, though I have used a vacuum for the first 5 minutes to draw the resin down into the finer cracks and voids then it went into the pressure pot for the rest of the curing process.
You mite like to take a quick check at Jim over at Sprague Woodturning he has some good resin trick you may like. Hate to see you have to keep fixing as you go but love your perseverance. His blocks he hot glues on could possibly save you some pain as well
Thank you I'll take a look 🙂
Essa sua panela é de pressão ou a vácuo?Ótimo canal.
Thank you 🙂, I use a pressure Pot for all of my epoxy resin projects, i also have a vacuum pot but i only use it on very porous wood. many thanks for you question. 🙂
When you use the same implement to stir the different colors of resin, what do you use to clean that stirring implement, if anything, between colors?
Hi, great question, the answer is i dont clean it other than spinning the paint mixer at full speed to remove as much excess as possible, and when im done i let the resin cure and build up over many weeks then i snap it off with grips, 🙂
Would a vacuum chamber followed by the pressure pot not stop most of the voids? Just curious.
Hi, that would’ve worked if I’d had more time, I allowed the resin to pre cure so it was already beginning to gel so I only had time for the pressure pot. It’s a great suggestion which I may try on another project. 🙂👍🏻
Utterly beautiful. Thanks for showing the boo boos. It helps many people to realize that they too can overcome them.
Many Thanks, I always try to show my reality of woodturning, 🙂👍
I don't get it...why didn't you just soak the entire thing in resin to fill the voids 🤔?
At the beginning i was trying to finish it in one day which is why i used the rapid setting epoxy, but when the full extent of the voids were visible around the rim i gave in and used normal resin that took 24hrs to cure.
@@RestorationDIY oh, ok...that makes sense. I think you even said that in the video...silly me.
You need to stop using that epoxy. You’ve had way too many problems with that epoxy.
Hi TJ, I've moved on to a different brand of Epoxy thats giving me much better results. Many thanks for your comment. 🙂
Wasteful..
☹️
Beautiful!
Thank you 🙂
