My brother John seen him in concert in Indy, and said this guy a row in front of him was pushing this little guy down and punking on him and Glenn called him out on stage and the dude flipped Glenn off as the band was breaking into the song "she rides" the lights went out and Glenn jumped off the stage and beat that dude down flipping him off and ran back up on the stage as the band was still playing the intro Glenn made it back up on the stage never missing a beat and started singing she rides! Man, i don't care what people think about him, i have respected Glenn ever since my brother told me that story back in the early 90's! That had to be so awesome to witness! RESPECT! \m/!

What makes Glen awesome? He buys into nothing popular, he thinks for himself, he has the drive behind his creativity and he makes it marketable, so people can find it. He is the engine of what REAL alternative media is all about. He's rich, famous, and earned it all.

Danzig embodies the true and pure meaning of Freedom and Individualism that America has always pretended to stand for. He may hate everyone, he may say things that sound "asshole-ish", but he is HONEST and TRUE TO HIMSELF, something only about 10% of the population on earth can say they are. Glen gave me a handshake took a pic with my roommate at the time and me, and I'm not joking when I say that he took two steps in front of us and the photographer took the pic from a front angle where it looked like Glen was right in front of us and taller than he is. It was comical.
This man wrote a song for Johnny Cash, He was one of the original members of the Misfits, and a successful career with his own band Danzig. Definitely not a one hit wonder, like him or not Danzig has put his time in the music industry.

I really do not understand everyone's problem with Danzig. Does everyone expect legends to have the need to be friendly and be nice to the interviewers. No. Just because the Hitler question was used to market this video doesn't mean that you are going to get the full or desired answer. If you spend your time looking for reasons to hate somebody, you will find them. Danzig doesn't owe anybody shit. He makes and has made some of the best music in the world, which I find way more important than him not addressing something the way 'you' wanted him to on a difficult question to answer. Expectations are a root of anger. So what your saying is that if you have an opinion, let everyone know what it is no matter what, if you don't feel secure with yourself try and make others feel insecure, and point fingers at others to cover up your own problems and insecurity? Angie Cash Completely approachable!!! I didn't make it awkward I just went over and told him I'm a big fan of his work seen him live several times live and we actually talk for a good 15 mins about life which was really refreshing. He's a lot like Alice Cooper.

Danzig is a great singer and his music kicks ass. Just saw on the day after Xmas in New Jersey and he looked to be in great shape and the band, with Tommy Victor (Prong) on guitar and Johnny Kelly (Type O Negative) on drums was stellar.

My old sensei used to say that the only man to be feared is a wild untrained fighter, mainly due to the fact that you can’t predict his style or his attack. Plus you say the guy was 400lbs? That’s a lot of weight behind a punch if it connects. I mean it doesn’t sound like Danzig is particularly quick but it’s hard to gauge a threat unless you’re the one being threatened. I used to have an overweight friend that knocked fools out no problem. Being fat doesn’t count you out of having genuine knockout power.
Actually, I've met him a couple of times, and have also talked to lots of other people who have known him, worked with him, etc., and he is generally cool in person, though he doesn't always act like it. He is also smarter than he is given credit for (though again, he doesn't always act like it, and occasionally fucks up). He's an eccentric character, to be sure, but a good guy overall.

Hank3 did his Granddad's stuff, his Dad's stuff & finished with his stuff. Afterwards, we drank...& drank...& DRANK. What a crazy f'kin dude! Good times. Pretty good interview..Danzig had a ton of questions thrown at him and really answered every one of them..Good job all the way around..An interviewer that isn't being a snarky dick and Danzig answering questions without going off and pulling. Billy Bob Thornton on the man.. Really nice to know a guy like Danzig looks up to anyone..You can see the admiration for Orbison and Cash..It went well

What would modern rock/punk/metal be without Danzig? It occurred to me recently just how generally important he is. People who don't understand how good of a singer he is need to try actually singing his songs sometimes. The Roy Orbison influence shows. Danzig fucking rocks.

Danzig is a great singer and his music kicks ass. Just saw on the day after Xmas in New Jersey and he looked to be in great shape and the band, with Tommy Victor (Prong) on guitar and Johnny Kelly
(Type O Negative) on drums was stellar.

I use to be closed minded back in the day about alotta bands in the ninties era,and with danzig i didnt see why all my friends worshipped this guy sure i heard dirty black summer ect but it wasnt until recent that i gave danzig another hear and watched his live performances started to love twist of cain but then i really liked the timeless songs like thirteen and did some research and learned that artists like roy orbison requested material crom glen along with other big music icons like johnny cash who sang thirteen hes a wolverine comic nut and i dont kno a bout the satanic stuff seems like it was a sthick a shock rock thing like alice cooper he was just a horror flick fan who cashed in on the whole shock metal thing that black saboth started but i respect danzig as a great song writer who was diffrent than the rest plus it doesnt hurt to have punk rock credentials with fronting the misfits ROCK ON GLEN DANZIG!

He actually is trained. You can Google it. My old sensei used to say that the only man to be feared is a wild untrained fighter, mainly due to the fact that you can’t predict his style or his attack. Plus you say the guy was 400lbs? That’s a lot of weight behind a punch if it connects. I mean it doesn’t sound like Danzig is particularly quick but it’s hard to gauge a threat unless you’re the one being threatened. I used to have an overweight friend that knocked fools out no problem. Being fat doesn’t count you out of having genuine knockout power.

Actually, I've met him a couple of times, and have also talked to lots of other people who have known him, worked with him, etc., and he is generally cool in person, though he doesn't always act like it. He is also smarter than he is given credit for (though again, he doesn't always act like it, and occasionally fucks up). He's an eccentric character, to be sure, but a good guy overall.
A friend of mine met him backstage and he was genuinely cool and down-to-earth. :)
