- Welcome to our new heavy metal series Noisey Shreds, where our resident metal head Kim Kelly will be traveling the globe to interview and hang out with some of our favorite bands.
For our first episode we’re heading to San Diego, California to hang out with the almighty gods of Thrash themselves, Slayer. We’re gonna catch up with them at Comic Con, where they’re debuting a new comic book through Dark Horse comics, and also playing a special one off show at the House of Blues, a venue much smaller than they are used to playing these days.

Brazil is a pretty unfair example because it’s nowhere near as developed as countries like the UK and Germany. It is unquestionable that there are less gun deaths in these countries, and that is directly down to the fact that guns are not legal in these countries.
I love the line the about the first album being you emulating your heroes, the second album being a grasp for direction and then the third album being your real sound...

But it's so true. And that applies to all genres. Examples:
I'm a huge country music fan. Take Jason Aldean, for example. The first album was pure 90s country. The second was a little different. The third album was definitively him.
Black Stone Cherry's first record was alternative rock with some metal. And so on, so forth.

I made their 4 swords logo as a steel sculpture and that got me on the back of the tour bus twice 🤘🤘, and it made me thank my musician father for teaching me that soundcheck is at 2 pm...or so

I came across Slayer by an old mp3 player I found under the back seat of my Crown Vic. I worked at a salvage yard with a 6 foot torch,days were long and hot. I had 33 songs on that player,all Slayer! It was heaven! Repeat all 33 everyday. I am 42 now,wish I would have listened as a teen.
