Find out how to do 10 drone moves that are super easy to achieve but look epic! - czcams.com/video/OxQspgrYwxM/video.html
I know you can't use active Movement only pinning on the mini 3 but can you use the mic? Great job on all your content
Finally. I've been looking forward to a review of the DJI mic with the RC controller. Thanks for taking the time to illustrate it.
Happy to help - thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing such
valuable tips, I've learned a lot.
Been following many of your CZcams videos to learn how to operate my first ever drone using the DJI Mini 3 Pro. Have learnt a lot on drone and Remote control settings and tips to improve navigating the remote control and features available on this model. Thanks Matthew !!
Wow... About to use my drone at an event and really wanted to have easy audio with the drone footage without having to over complicate it. Thanks so much for this video! Huge help! I'll be using my Rodes for this.
Happy to help! The Rode mics work great for this too!
Again another excellent video from your channel !!
Thanks for the synching demonstration. I've seen a few similar to this before. Works pretty well.
I love your videos! Straightforward and easy to follow. Cheers. Ceri
Very nice! More power to your channel!. Very informative
This will be something to work on and really appreciate the instructional. Out of curiosity, is there a way to time code the two recordings or to make it everything you select record on the drone it simultaneously starts screen recording? Curious for the editing challenged (me!).
Very useful! Thank you!
Much appreciate your explanation of this audio via screen recording as well the aspect of syncing the audio with the drone camera footage. I own several wireless Rode mic transmitters / receivers. Tonight I have finally come to understand how this feat is done. I do like this dji wireless receiver you are using over the Rode interface I am using. (Saramonic 3.5mm Male TRS to USB-C Stereo or Mono Microphone and Audio Adapter Cable 9)
awsome info as always! 🙏👍
Great videos, well explained, easy to understand!!
Brilliant! Thank you!
So much value. Thank you so much!
Fantastic. Thank you. Very helpful
So informative Matt huge fan.! Thanks
Neat trick. Will need to test it out. Thanks.
Cheers from LA.
Nice method! thanks for the idea, I'll keep that in my mind for one of the next shoots.
Thanks, very much. The only video to give the detail of the process. Brilliant 😊
Excellent information. Thanks for another awesome tip. Thanks Matthew!
Happy to help, thanks for watching!
Smashing Like Button!!!
Awesome, thank you nice to have backup/ options for audio.
Great Tutorial. Thanks Bro.
Top! Thanks a lot
Nice Video
I love your videos Matthew!
Thank you so much for making this video! I learned two things today. One is how to record to the smart controller, and two how to record sound. I make railroad videos using a ground camera and my DJI Mini 3 Pro, and this will be a great addition.
I am leaving the comment in support of this video. The content is on point, and was very useful, not like most other videos on youtube with fluffed-up videos. Thanks man!
Glad it was helpful! Really appreciate the kind feedback also!
Thank you sir you were to the point and VERY helpful
Great video, well explained. I recently bought a mini 3 pro. Now I just need this mic for my set-up. 👍🏻
Thank you for such valuable information Awesome job!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!
Thanks Matthew!! That totally works! now I can record my audio without an extra camera! Your the greatest!
Thank you for sharing this video.
Woooow, thank you for all the info 😎😎
Great video! I was wondering, what's the minimum distance you have to keep your mini3pro from the dji mic in order to not catch the drone sound? I guess using zoom on the drone camera would be helpful in this case, so that you appear close to drone.
Very cool, thank you Matteww
Oh, this is useful! I was just filming a local river in flood yesterday (made a neat video out of it!) and lamenting that I couldn't capture the majestic roaring sound very well (my phone recording really didn't do it justice). I've got the DJI mic, so this should be pretty easy
It’s very easy! Great for capturing ambient sounds!
Many thanks for the ultra informative video.I do a lot of train videoing. Would this be a good buy to record loudish outdoor sounds or is there another mic/recorder that would work better? I'm just wondering if the DJI mike is designed more for recording voice.
Great video. I have bought the DJI mic and plan to head out next week to have a go recording with the drone.
You bought the wireless -2 parts or just simply for the controller?
Nice!
Great tips - thanks!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching!
AHHGG!!! So close to being the perfect video!!! How did you get rid of all the screen graphics that are on the controller please mate? Did you just film from far away and crop it ir is there a better way? Appreciate you help on this. Cheers man.
This is a most helpful video. Although I have basically doing this already with my Lavaliere mic and syncing with a clap of my hand. I may look into the DJI mic system. I wonder about the range of this. I am a drone newbie but I have already noticed that 1) people and 2)audio make this clips way more interesting than mysilent fly overs with pretty sound track. Your is one of the most informative drone tubes out there. Thanks a bunch!
👍great stuff as always Mathew
Thank you!
Matthew, thanks again for this interesting video. But what about starting the sound recorder on your smartphone and put it in your chest pocket? (instead of investing extra hardware)
Thank you very much for this EXCELLENT video Matthew. I just bought a DJI Mini 4 Pro which only has one USB Type C receptacle on the DJI RC 2 controller. Can I use my RC 2 controller for plugging-in the DJI Mic receiver as you did with your Mini 3 Pro controller? If not...is there some other way I can use the DJI Mic with my DJI Mini 4 Pro?? Thanks again!
Thanks bro just what I was looking for
Nice Video 💪🏼
Thanks! Great tip
Thanks!
Thank you so much for your continued support Billy - really appreciated!
Well explained 👏
Is it possible to add the sound recording to the drone video use the included DJI editor using an iPhone, or iPad?
Thanks Brennon, over the last year, your content has very useful to me for using the mini 3 pro.
Any tips if you have the regular RC without the screen with a mini 3 pro? Thanks!
Thanks sir for sharing..very nice
Thank You! I learned something new today!!! I will be using this - I wonder if there is a way to make this work on the Avata too and I wonder if that will overload my brain while flying homes shooting real estate “ yes, you can see on the left is granite countertop we are flying over and as we swoop towards the back yard you can really see the view” ;)
Thank you! Hopefully this trick helps! ha, that would be a super unique real estate video!
I love watching your videos they are so informative. I have only recently bought my Mini 4 pro, after watching your videos I have become more confident while flying, Thank you. I have a question for you. I recently took some footage which I have edited using light cut, I have added music to this footage but now I would like to add some voice files to this footage, but cant seem to work out the easiest way, not sure if this is possible. I thought if anyone knows it would be your good self.
Thanks, this is great. I will use is for my video's from now when ever i can !!
Hope it helps! Thanks for watching!
Great video, very informative. Like the shots of Ballintoy harbour.
Great tip! Thanks
No problem! Hope it helps!
All I can say is wow! Just a fantastic video.
Happy to help, thanks for watching!
what video/audio Editor do you use to do this and is it that easy to sync them together thank you
This is stellar Brennan , I had flopped it the first time. Thanks
Can you do this using the DJI editing program? If not, what editing program do you use?
Thanks for the video. Just a quick question, from RC Remote recording, do you get a MP3 audio file? Or do you have to extract the audio from the RC Remote screen recording?
Great video. What gain settings for the DJI mic transmitter and receiver are you using? I've had to max out both to use the DJI receiver direct into the usb-c on the computer, and my DJI RC Pro controller, in order to get max signal to noise ratio.
I'd like to know the answer to this. Also, plugging the receiver in generates an error
Awesome video! Is it possible for you to make a tutorial on how to record audio with controllers that you connect your phone too? I don't use the DJI RC, so I was wondering if it's possible to record audio by placing the receiver into the USB C port used for charging on the controllers that you connect your phone to. That would be super helpful, thanks!
The phone already has a microphone and may be able to use it with a third-party app
Beautiful video as always 👍 I have the DJI mini 2. How can I add audio to the video footage ? Thank you
This is the best tip ever. I could think of i leot of uses for this. Is it possible for the Dji Mini pro to carry the dj osmo action.
Thank you for all the incredible videos
Love all your Mini 3 PRO videos. Subs and likes, keep them coming!
Thank you - really appreciate that!
Thank you !
Thanks that was very useful video
Thanks Matt
Thank You "MB" appreciate YOUR video's!
Happy to help, thanks for watching!
So there is a spot on the drone and the RC as well for a mirco SD card when would you use the one on the drone versus the RC?
Absolutely fantastic video! Thank you so very much for taking the time to show this. I have just created two real estate videos where the agent is doing an introduction and I am using the drone to capture them in front of their listing. I am using the Lark, Holyland microphone setup. I have two questions if you have the time to answer I would greatly apprciate hearing from you.
First, will the Lark do the same thing as the DJI microphone setup?
Second, How have you removed the propeller sounds from the audio?
I purchased the Lark system shortly before DJI introduced their microphone setup, (figures). ha ha. I will try tomorrow to setup the Lark with my DJI Mini 3 Pro to see if it will interface. If not, I will purchase the DJI microphone setup.
And finally, are you using any 3rd party software in post to eliminate the prop noise? If so, can you provide a link for that as well.
Thanks again for such a great video! Well Done!! :)
Thanks for sharing
Lol very innovative my friend. Amazing job!!!
Hope it helps, thanks for watching!
תודה!
Thank you!
@Mattheww Brennan thanks Matthew for for the informative and enriching videos you upload. Can you specify what exactly should i order at the dji store in order to record a Mini 3 Pro flight?
Good to know, thanks
Hope it helps!
Hi Mattheww
Jeeze - so much to learn!
This is amazing for people like me who are just starting out - thank you :)
Happy to help! Thanks for watching!
@@TheDroneCreative 😊
Very cool!
What about charging the mic? I was going to purchase the mic, but it looks like I need to save up to purchase the charging station
Thank you for your well explained instructions!! The RC that came with my DJI Mini Pro 4 only has one USB-C port next to the micro SD card. What version of RC are you using? will the one I have accept the wireless microphone like you shown in this video ?
that's the 1st RC
So not possible to connect a microphone to the new RC ?
@@AlexanderBell1847 idk man, I don't have an RC or RC2. RCN1 is what I have
This is great, I tried a USB microphone I had laying around and it worked great. I might get the DJI mic in the future. Cheers
Just a simple usbc microphone? And connect to the controller?
@@Daskalos76 I believe it was a Cubilux USB C Microphone
Cool - thanks for this - have been wondering about my next steps for video making! Question - what video editor do you use?
I use Adobe Premire Pro! Thanks for watching!
@@TheDroneCreative Great - thanks!
Mattheww . Which of yuor many great Vidios should I watch first, I am a new DJI Mini 3 Pro owner and want to know which is best to watch before my first test flight. PS you are making the best / easyers to watch DJI Mini 3 Pro vidios on you-tube
Great explanation, thanks so much. Learned a lot. THUMBS UP
Ever looked into ankerwork wireless mic? Does that do the same thing the Dji one does?
Howdy !
Can the audio recording be adapted for the RC-N1 remote control?
Hi I’m trying to do the same thing just wondering what editing app was used
Very helpful. I’ve tried and failed to work this out previously. Thanks
Thank you!
Does this work for a livestream from the drone? I’d like to have voice commentary over a drone stream I’m doing soon. Thanks!
2nd watching - now going to attempt 😳Thanks
Hi Mattheww, and i was just about to figure out how to carry my DR40 while filming. Duh ! thats so easy. I have the wireless mics. they seem to work ok. One thing though, if you are monitoring the sound from the reciever, the audio going to the headphones sounds very compressed (Crappy). But the audio being recorded is quite good. Regards Peter Williams
Hi Mattheww...will this method work with the DJI RC Pro Controller? many thanks
Does the sound play in playback on the controller speaker or only in editing software?
Thanks again for teaching me something new. I now know that my drone doesn’t recognize my microphone. I had give up thinking I wasn’t doing something else right. Time to shop for a different brand of mic. My current one works with the ipad though. 🙂🙁
I’ve been using some BT earbuds bound to the RC to record audio commentary but the DJI mic looks like it might be more flexible where I can set it down where I want and maybe record the surroundings, a drone flyby, etc.
That is exactly how I have been using it recently, to capture the ambient sound that I can then overlay over the video!
Do you know if this commentary would be heard if you were live-streaming from the drone? I’ve got an event where I’d like to talk on the stream.
Thanks a lot. Never thought about this now, Im running to amazon with your link, lol.
ha! It's a super useful little trick!
Can you do this on the RC2 controller? I am planning on getting the Air 3.
