rpcs3 asks too much from the processor bruv whereas xenia focuses on utilizing gpu more than cpu hence performing better than rpcs3
Because the PS3 had a kinda strong CPU at the time when the console was released, the games on PS3 were optimized for the console's CPU processor, so they're somehow hard to emulate it too
The PS3 had one of the most powerful and complex CPUs. If I remember correctly it was 2x as powerful, but no one ever fully utilized.
@@Fusion05 its not about the power of the cpu, its the emulator optimization. ps3 is too old and even a mid range phone of today would completely annihilate a ps3 cpu.

Main reason to play GTA4 on Xenia is the superb vehicle physics with 60fps, on the unpached 1.0 original version of the game. This is only possible with Xbox360 version. I tried all of them.
I found the car reflections in the Xbox 360 version to be more beautiful than on PC, but it's a shame that the game has many random crashes.
Setting renderer to Vulkan fix that issue

so for now its impossible to play original Xbox 360 version with good resolution. kinda shame that rdr1 got 4K update on Xbox One X and gta4 didnt.

How is it that a ps3 can run this game better than a 1,500 $ pc like wtf did they have in there or is xenia or rpcs3 not ready yet
Poor optimization on pc At least you can use DXVK to fix it if your pc supports/is new enough to use Vulkan without poor performance.
i am emulating many of my old classics on rpcs3.
exclusives work quite well since i suppose the dev team puts a lot of effort to make them run well, since its the only way to actually play them.
titles that are available on pc however are a bit lackluster in terms of performance.
its good enough to enjoy a little bit of nostalgia trip.
there is a mod pack where you CAN add the atmosphere and other things of the X360 version to the PC port and with that and adding in built in Anti aliasing for a smooth phone and vehicles along with DXVK and you're have the best experience at 720/1080p or higher

fusionfix and DXVK are broken and do not work. They slow the game down and break it even more.

Xenia melhorou muito o desempenho para processadores mais antigos. Estou torcendo para que a compatibilidade com jogos seja cada vez maior e melhor. A comunidade poderia compartilhar a pasta dos shaders, ajudaria muito na hora de rodar o jogo no emulador.
Acho que o problema com o Xenia nem são os shaders, acho que dos emuladores atuais, o Xenia é o que compila sem muitos problemas, talvez a comunidade não compartilhe justamente por causa disso. Tenho colocado todas as minhas fichas neste emulador, mesmo tendo um Xbox 360 desbloqueado

IDK what you were talking about, I played GTA4 main story throu 2019 without any issues on my i7-6700k and that is now considered an older cpu

DXVK solve any problems that PC version has with stutter because "translates" the game to Vulkan. The problem is and always was the DirectX 9...
Even with vulkan the game stutters when driving. I'm running it with a Rtx3080.
Eu desisti de jogar GTA 4 no xenia por causa dos crash e bugs, e se colocar em vulkan para de crashar, porem fica com as folhas bugadas, entao optei pela versao de PC mesmo e colocando alguns mods para melhorar
mas tem que ter mod pra cacete pra fazer aquele negócio funcionar, eu até desisti, afinal não tenho muito tempo pra ficar mexendo nos arquivos, procurando mod e tals

Rpcs3 was a absolute fucking wreck. Crashing every few minutes and just a mess.. xenia is my next option I will be back with a review lol

you can run the rpcs3 version at 60 fps but you need a recent cpu with avx 512 instructions.
I get 60 fps on 4k on my Asus 4070 laptop with mods.

Impressionante como esse jogo é mal otimizado, e até a versão de PC não roda bem hoje em dia, mesmo com um hardware 15 anos mais novo
Pessoal me deu uma dica no discord que vc pode usar o DXVK, eu utilizei e reduz bastante os stutters, permite o jogo rodar em vulkan, mas nem tudo são flores, meu processador passou a rodar com 30-40% de carga, enquanto minha GPU foi de 80-100%, os stutters realmente acabaram e o ganho de FPS foi de aprox 30FPS
Fusionfix is broken for steam. So is vulkan. It all just break the game more. It is better to emulate it.

@@ozgurozturk9281 Perfectly optimised lol? How so ? On PC u can max out draw distance, details beyond what the XBOX version is offering. Besides XBOX 360 version also kept dropping below 30fps. Thats what u call optimization ? On PC with Vulkan Api the game looks and performs 10x better than any console version. Get ur facts straight.
@@snake2106 when you max out everything in settings, you'll suffer from terrible shuttering, fps drops, instant crashes and freezings on pc version of gta4. Unless you use mods, playing gta4 on pc is the worst way to play that game. Because pc version of gta4 is THE worst optimised game in gaming history. It is out of discussion. X360 ver. is still the best optimised ver. among vanilla versions of gta4. I hate using mods. That's why I'm still playing gta4 on xenia.
@@ozgurozturk9281 when we max out everything sure the game stutters and frame drops but that was due to limitations of Dx9 api on PC. Nowadays u just have to use DXVK vulkan translation layer to run GTA IV and it runs at above 60fps all the time even when maxed out. Just drop a single few megabytes file in game directory and it will use Vulkan api. U can search everywhere how to run gta iv with DXVK. You don't even have to use any mods also.

You don't have to mod gta iv to run it at 60+fps maxed out. Just use DXVK to run it in Vulkan rather than Dx9. Its just a single few mb file which u have to drop in the game directory and the game runs with Vulkan api instead of Dx9 api. Most of the gta iv performance issue were due to limilations of the Dx9 Api. Its all over the internet how to run it in Vulkan and it takes hardly 2 minutes to do that.
rpcs3 really makes you feel like you are playing it on a PS3 😁 the real PS3 performance
