- One of the biggest issues with GTA IV on PC is the constant debate and confusion regarding which version of the game users should play.
Let's take a look between the different versions of GTA IV and see if downgrading truly is necessary!

This isn't pinned. I think you meant to pin this. But maybe it's just an issue on my end

GTA Connected fully supports the complete edition with just the patch 8 executable in a sub-folder (making full use of the complete edition specific files and changes)
For an "out of the box" vanilla game I like to just use Steam version with FusionFix + Radio downgrader + DXVK. I last played Niko's story on 1040 with fixes and ENB and it performed nicely.
I use 1070 the shadows look way better than in 1040
@@dwaynethemineraljohnson412 That's what the video says lol
The only issue is that I don't think there is a way to bring car reflections to CE.
@@awii.neocities console visuals?
@@nitrosodium Console Visuals doesn't seem to work for me... Either way, I really like ZolikaMenu so unless there's a good competitor to that, I'm gonna stick to 1080.
Besides the ability to continue where the original author left off, open source mods are also better on a security standpoint as you (as well as modding sites) can better assess if the mod in question isn't laced with malicious code.
For security purposes it's like half a point at best, since you need to:
a) be able to read & understand coding & the tools to efficiently read said code.
b) malicious code in a opensource project is very likely to be obfuscated & therefore much harder to find for less experienced people.
Opensource is not something that guarantees safe code!
I feel you but on the other hand you give people the possibility to skid your code.
I as a user love open source shit for the reasons you mentioned but I also understand why some people tend to not open source their projects.
Plus if it’s open source, someone can just contribute changes and fixes for newer versions by submitting a pull request.
@@siegfriedschnosel5114 "give people the possibility to skid your code"
"skid"? Are you intending to mean "screw up" or something similar? If so...
You do realise that the owner(s) of the target repository get to look over all modifications provided within pull requests _before_ integrating them into their own repository, right? You can't just simply drop your own file changes into the repo without having them review and approve said changes first.
@@Wryyyong Skidding is considered in modding and coding community's as stealing code from other projects/creators.
Not everyone is willing to share their hardly coded stuff with the internet.
I'm an end consumer and don't profit from closed source projects at all, but at the same time I can understand why people do this anyway.
I'm so happy that GTA IV modding is FINALLY coming together. This year for the GTA IV modding scene has been like the modloader introduction for the 3D games.
The GTA IV modding scene has always pissed me the hell off for so many years due to quite frankly how genuinely stupid the people in it are. Nobody could agree with each other on anything and it took them so long to find convenient ways to install mods for GTA IV. And of course, like you mentioned earlier, some modders like Zolika never made their mods open source, which only slowed down the modding process for future GTA IV mods.
Thank god the Fusion Team is finally trying to actually fix this piece of crap port in a more convenient way. I have nothing but respect for that team!
Yeah IV has the most toxic fanbase out of any GTA.
IV modding scene isnt really coming together...its mixed..
Thirteen aka fusion cried about zolika porting his mod to the better versions ( 1.7 and 1.8 ) which also had MP, also Depth of field was broken in complete edition but was working fine in the backport of the mod on 1.7
My experience trying to showcase on Discord was my first scrapped add-on weapon with actual working stats. The reason it was scrapped is that I couldn't find legitimate uses for it. The only way to use it non-trainer-wise is through weapon shops or hidden places. As the summary of the first mod shows, adding weapons didn't go so well. Yes, some appreciated my weapon variety, others have doubts, and some are straight up full of "I'm better than everyone mentally." as the summary of the last person. I'm trying to help GTA IV with weapon variety. I tolerated criticism, but the attitude of these toxic people leaves me nothing but disappointed.
@@madhunter6420he "cried" because Zolika went against the agreement and was making that version of Fusion Fix require closed source things, when Zolika was asked to keep it all Open Source he refused and went in a rant.
@@ash735 If Zolika violated the agreement for the FusionFix fork, then I completely understand ThirteenAG's decision and his actions to take down the fork, but spreading stuff like "Zolika's mods has malware" or the "shady behavior" like collecting IP addresses is a completely different story and crossed the line.
As this video tells, it is up to personal reasons on which version we're going to use. I still prefer on patch 1.8, so respect my opinion and not by spreading false information just to convince other users to switch to Complete Edition. Give them a choice, not by forcing them.
These days I always play GTA IV by using Complete Edition with Fusion Fix, DXVK and a mod that restores the radio stations to the way they were before Complete Edition came out. I always enjoy playing the DLCs as well so that why I stick with Complete Edition.

I was literally searching for this exact information just yesterday and couldn't find it. The timing couldn't be better, thank you!
I was waiting for this video so bad! Some days ago i was looking for some mods for my GTA IV Steam version that became the CE since the launch of RGL and was wondering what version should i use.
Also, i appreciate your efforts for explaining one by one the differences between those versions. I'm very proud to know the differences now!
Hey there, I just wanna thank you for uploading this video, it helped me understand the differences in depth, while also being entertaining. I had a old product key of GTA IV & EFLC I never got to use because my disk drive broke while installing EFLC. I redeemed it on the RGL to get GTA IV: CE. I saw that the only major mod for CE was FusionFix, so I was wondering if downgrading would be worth it. Thanks to this video I saved myself some time I'd waste by just reinstalling CE again - none of the versions suit my needs. Anyway, thanks for the video, I have subbed!
Thank you for this informative vieeo.
I cannot believe how lucky I'm to have found this channel and this video being uploaded just a few hours ago.
I was having headaches because of this conflict and finally I can stick with the CE without feeling missing out on stuff.
i got the complete edition with fusion fix and dxvk and i can finally enjoy it the pcmasterrace way.
i hardly ever modded gta games, maybe a minor mod here and there but im mostly happy with being able to play it at stable 60fps.
At 2:47 the light pole in 1.7 is casting shadows while it isn't in the other versions. I assume 1.7 is using a higher shadow distance which would explain the lower performance.
the fact that such tutorial even exist is saddening. GTA4 is so broken that even modders fixed only half of problems at best...
Still better then gta 5
That's why rockstar should make gta for pc not port it to pc
Excellent video on the subject. Really great knowledge and easy to understand breakdowns. Thanks!
Very good in super detail video. Thank you so much. Learned a ton from this video
As someone who plans to replay GTA IV after several years, this video is truly a godsend. Thank you so much for putting this overview together, it helps me a lot in planning out which game version and which essential mods to use for my next playthrough. Keep up the excellent work! :)
yeah same
Made a Steam review about this, but it's such a handy video. Good Job!
To correct on the Multiplayer side: GTA Connected is very easy to setup. It kind of supports the Complete Edition in a way that it just requires you to at least download Patch 7 or 8 files and put them in your game folder (not replacing anything) as listed via their downgrading wiki page, which means you don't have to downgrade your installation to play if you don't want to. There are no plans to natively support the complete edition afaik. It has all of the original multiplayer content available through it. It should be the main way to play Multiplayer.
Apologise, I actually misread one of the developer comments now looking back.
It has partial support, but nothing official yet. I'll add a note to the pinned comment.
GTA Connected is a shitshow, the main way to play online should be Games for Windows Live.
You say GTAC is a shitshow but it basically re adds back games for windows live. Somehow it’s worse than the original? True peer2peer means you can get hacked.
Thank you for making this video is really interesting for me that you made a video about different version of gta IV
The quality of your videos is amazing, keep it up brother
1:20 people always forget that shadows in real life doesnt look as sharp as the game
Didn't forget, but 1.0.4.0 aren't "realistic" at all either. 1.0.7.0 has the biggest benefit of having more shadows overall than all the other versions, so that's why it comes first.
This clears up a lot. Thankyou for this. Btw what are your opinions about the potential grim, responsive plus and the hardcore lost mc mods?
Wtf bro I just want to play the game
Play it
the latest versions are okay as far as I know.. the older versions are a pain in the ass to run and fix, but some are useful for modding the game, which helps with the overall experience.
No one is stopping you
Yes man
But our pc won't agree
I really like your videos, they are very informative and well structured. Most of the time I was extensively modding GTA San Andreas and I do till this day. When GTA IV was already released for some time, my PC wasn't really good enough for mods. Lately I started modding GTA 5, but it can be really annoying since it just crashes or breaks without any known reason sometimes, PACK3_ERROR or something... Then incompatible or unavailable Mods. I guess it has to do with the continuous Updates GTAV gets. Time for me to honor GTA IV by modding it! Great Physics, sadly no car tuning. P.S: Looking forward to your GTA IV Modding Guide Videos
for GTA 5: Having content updates may be a huge contribution to the online community but it's sadly a huge pain for modding Singleplayer since scripthook and ASI mods tend to break with Updates.
I really can't wait for the day the support for GTA online gets finally dropped
@siegfriedschnosel5114 I dunno never really had a problem with updates breaking mods, usually just have to update the scripthook and whatnot and the game runs fine.
@@clinicallyarsonistic Scripthook mods are mostly good. Trainers that have to change globals like ZMenu tend to break and crash the game on start.
*no car tuning sadly* bingo here's your idea for a mod! Porting GTA 5 cars to 4 with their upgrades. GTA 4 already supports different colors, liveries, custom parts.
I bought GTA IV 1.0.8 on Steam. The performance is awful: Vladivostok was totally changed for mid tracks for the most part, the 60fps are broken af, and the worst part: No mods.
I tried downgrading it go either 1.7.0 or 1.0.4 but I couldn't do a thing because of an error related to Social Club. I had to ask for a refund and pirated 1.7.0, The performance is way superior, and it is the version with the most mod support.
*6:45 Note to that. Back than when you downloaded the DLCs via GFWL Marketplace it was the same. DLC Stations were added to Base IV
Yeah, unfortunately not possible anymore.
@@TJGMI actually somehow managed to do this on 1.8 a few days ago but had to delete and downgrade to 1.7 for other mods. Now I can't do it. I just use independence FM and put the tracks I like most from the DLC.
Thank you so much for this, I thought the LOD issues were from something wrong with my GPU!!
Fantastic information! Thank you so much!
Well concerning how most mods only work with old versions, I wish there was a way to get the old mods to just work on the latest version
Stay tuned for the next video, pretty much all weapon and vehicle mods work on CE as do a lot of map mods, the Fusion Overloader makes installing mods a breeze and doesn't require replacing original files.
Man, I remember playing unofficial copies of gta 4 and eflc and having to spend hours trying to get those patches to work and successfully play on 1.0.3.0 only to find out that 1.0.4.0 had a lot more support for mods and performs just as well too (I think).
Now that it's on sale, I'm considering buying it this time and do whatever there is to do with the game again.
thank you sooooo mcuh for you archives work, and your pedagogy
with my patch 8 with DLCs (that I moved from my CE version) (I don't have fusion fix in the mix unless it can also help patch 8) it's complete edition without steam or RGL drm (I have for a long time enjoyed the CE but I didn't know the performance impact) and like I said in my previous comment It's actually my go to folder now for playing this GTA fav masterpiece!! the only 2 things i'd just add to the folder is The ACTUAL complete edition mod (slowly have to master it) and whenever Icenhancer 4 comes out to update from 3.0.1
Thank you for making such informative guides.
Some Cons of the Complete Edition are the lack of available mods like the first person mod
Pretty sure fusionfix has an option for first person unless I'm thinking of another one
And also a graphics mods
Enjoyed the comparison, 1.7 shadow looks way more detailed
Nice video man, If you didn't mind can you make a video about essential mods for GTA 4 CE just like your SA videos? Fusion Fix just got a modloader like features so most of GTA 4 mods that was created for 1070 and 1080 like Responsive Plus and Potential Grim now works on CE (I know, I tested it myself and it works flawlessly).
Also IIRC zolika recently just retired from GTA 4 modding due to drama which honestly I'm not aware of and that's including his trainer and his patch. So not only his mods like zolikapatch etc is a closed source, it's also have no future proof as well.
That's the plan!
Hopefully he returns and the drama stops, because he does create some great stuff.
In GTA SA while flying in hydra the afterburners (the one which gives blue flame for thrusters) sometimes dont work or show those effects..is there a reason?.. some body please help...!
You should do A video about GTA five, and the many different versions from emulated consoles to older PC versions
Maybe it's worth a follow up video, maybe not, but I would love if you covered DRM between different versions. I bought my copy of GTA IV on steam in 2011, but because I deleted my social club email I'm PERMANENTLY LOCKED OUT. (Going through their support system was awful and got me nowhere.) I can still download the game, but I'm unable to play without downgrading or finding/making my own "fix". I feel like discussing DRM is necessary when talking about newer rockstar games, as they don't care about how inconvenient it is for us.
I saw you mentioned patch 8 removed songs, it is only on digital/steam editions, I use DVD Version on patch 8 and I still get to keep the old music tracks.
Thank you for doing this
In my copy of GTAIV at night the bloom effect of tail lights and street lights sometimes flickers. Does anyone else experience this issue or know a potential fix? It might not be related to DXVK or any mods but TJGM seems to be pretty knowledgeable on the subject, thank you! love your videos
There's a patch fix
There is also mod called True Complete Edition that expand base GTA 4 with TLAD and TBOGT content, map updates etc
Personally I'm not a fan because I think adding features like weapons, vehicles, bikes, helicopters peds and websites from the EFLC onto base GTA IV completely ruins what makes each story distinct from one another.
However I do think updating the map and story character models to their more polished counterparts in EFLC is great and doesn't ruin the game for me at all. Although I wish the facial animations weren't so broken when using them in base GTA IV.
I use this along fusionfix, downgrade to patch 7, xliveless zolika patch and menu and a dozen scripts.
It works almost perfectly, almost.
Happy with CE + DXVK + Fusionfix - getting 150+ fps and no stutters finally to enjoy a full story run!
Please do an essential mods list vid for GTA IV
great video man
Lot of great GTA IV content. If I replay this beautiful game, will be sure to come back here :)
I have the complete edition steam version, and I had modded it with OpenIV, just replaced 7-8 vehicles, but after 2-3 minutes textures would start to disappear, memory leak issues showed itself. So my question is, what to do?
nice video bro! i subbed! 🔥 i have a question: i downgrade my gta 4 from complete edition to 1.7 patch and it doesnt recognize my 4gb of video memory, only 2 gb, how can i fix that? i have in my commandline -nomemrestrict, -norestrictions and -avalablevidmem 4096 and it still doesnt recognize it, could another file be the problem? and what other mods can increase performance overall
Well, I would like to see some of the best experience mods to replay the game, I want to do it at some point, I also would love you to cover multiplayer, mostly using LAN my friends used to play a lot of GTA IV over lan, it was a blast but Windows live for games was such a pain in the butt to deal with.
Great helpful video that answered a lot of my questions about the differences between versions. I'm still a bit bummed about the recent news of Zolika departing from the GTA modding scene, but reading their post about it makes me understand why.
Thank you for the clarification. My only question is, do you still need the Vulkan performance fix with CE or has the performance issues been fixed?
You still need it
Shadows in 1."4" are much better than anything below high in 1.0.7.0. I'm still wondering why didn't they include an "in between" option between medium and high that looks just like 1.4's, but I assume it's due to how different they are drawn, which is a shame, because they have a major performance impact
Yup, I'm guessing there's no in between option because, given that GPUs require power of two textures, either there is no PoT resolution in-between or both are the same resolution (I believe this to be the case) seems like they only implemented a better kernel for the soft shadows in 1.7, which is more expensive to render.
The author mentions it and is quite likely to be the case that 1.7s performance is that bad because of the shadow pass being way more expensive. Basically 1.4 shadows look like they are doing a 5 tap blur on the shadows but 1.7 looks like it could be a 9 tap, could easily be sampled another 9 times with an offset for even softer shadows (they look THAT good), add the new shadow casters and 33% less frames sounds very spot on
I'm guessing they either rewrote or modified the shadow pass shader so the older version was overwritten instead of coding a new version and let you choose between them.
I've never looked at RAGEs shader code but if it's standardized I'm pretty sure the old shader could be ported and with a bit of luck you could switch between the two implementations or make one of the lower settings use the old shader
Second Worst case scenario would be: the implementation needs to be fully replaced so you can have 1.7 with 1.4 shadows but can't switch to 1.7 quality, best case is you can switch between them by adding the old shader code and bind it to low quality, worst case is it can't be ported at all
I have a problem with the complete edition. I can't save game. Anytime i tried to save and the game said: "Save failed. Please check your storage device and try again" athough i have a lot of space on my disk. I need a solution to fix this.
I have the complete edition but I have it on disk, bought at a store in 2012. I have this version updated to patch 8 (1.0.8.0). It is a hassle to get GFWL working but if you have a shorter password and 2-factor authentication disabled, it should work just fine. The main reason why I never bought it on steam was because with the disk version, I have control over the game files. An example of this control is the removal of certain songs from ingame radio stations. With the version from steam and the Rockstar Launcher, these songs are no longer there because the license for them has run out. With the disk version and the standalone patch or update 8, these songs are still there. And that is exactly the reason why I like having old games on disk. And yes, this is also the exact reason why I still have a dvd drive in my pc case.
Great Video. But, is Fusion FIX (contain visual fix) can use with iCE ENB ? When I did that, It looks weird.
I just wish Rockstar would just fix GTA IV on Steam and make it the best version to play, cause most people won't get the best experience if they just buy the game from steam without modding, and some people don't like to mod their games even if it is easy
Yeah... the quality of the Definitive trilogy inspires confidence in this )))))
On pc to fix camera zoomed glitch in scenes, make your display settings capped at 59 fps and turn on vsync.
Is there a version where you could choose between killing phill or ray I thought my first playthrough on the 360 had that choice than after that I never could pick again
Is there a fpp mod for the complete edition? I’m using 1.7 but I want to use fusion overloader but I haven’t found a fpp mod for complete edition yet
Just a little clarification full music from both the main game and dlcs was accessible ONLY IF the dlcs and the base game were bought through the game for windows life store which is another headache on its own
can you show us how to mod the complete edition,/what mods to use?
Not into modding but GTA IV has always been my favorite. Don’t get me wrong I think modding is cool but I don’t like it when mods stray too far from the developers intent. In this case some quality of life upgrades for a broken PC port are much appreciated because I have the complete edition myself and would love to do another play through on my PC. This video was very informative I will be going with fusion fix. Thanks!
What about enabling some unused contents the game has? There were some cool stuffs that was in Trailers and leaks that never made it to the release version. There is a mod that's called "Death Music IV" which is a mod that enables an unused jingles if you died which is better than GTA V death jingle (but the developers mention that it was meant to be used for low health which is odd) and I'm planning to get the CE to use the mod there
Im over this "developer intended" argument.. I don't play games so the developer can enjoy it. I play games how i want to enjoy it.
You know you can just not use mods that "stray too far", right?
@@RealOnyxCz4r obviously
I had been literally testing mods on all versions and tbh I liked the v1.0.7.0 patch.
Using ItsClonkAndre's downgrader is just a piece of cake to get the game completely working, but as you pointed out it's a big hassle to keep track of all the mods installed. And I have GFWL completely working using Yilmaz's setup. And boy oh boy does DXVK makes the game run so smooth!
But yeah, I didn't know that FusionFix was a much bigger mod than it seems to be
Glad to see GTA IV getting the love it deserves even after 15 years.

Can you upload a video about you discussing the creation of Project 2DFX by Thirteen AG and you?
It's mostly ThirteenAG's mod now, I'm not a programmer so he did all of that side of things.
The mod wasn't originally called Project 2DFX, but something like "Increased Draw Distance & 2DFX" (or something like that).
I was the original author of that mod. It was originally for III/VC and I was inspired by GTA V's corona effects that could be seen from anywhere. So I started to investigate how to increase the corona draw distance, III/VC was very simple, but SA was a bit more complicated since 2DFX data for models were stored in the .dff file of the model itself, rather than a data file.
Luckily, DK had just released a 2DFX tool that nobody seemed to be using, and this allowed me to extract 2DFX data from models, edit them and import them back into models. So the mod was then created for SA.
Although keep in mind, my mod only increased the corona draw distance to an extent. The lamppost model still had to be spawned in, if it wasn't, the corona wouldn't load.
As well as the corona stuff, I wanted to increase the overall draw distance of objects too. While researching and testing, I actually discovered why SA has holes in the maps when the farclip is high, it was because some LOD models actually just had too low of a draw distance, so I fixed that.
The mod gained some traction around this time, ThirteenAG started to get involved, he came up with better solutions for things including the LOD corona system, fixed some crashes when it came to increasing the draw distance of map objects (this eventually lead to Open Limit Adjuster being created, fun fact), he also came up with the name Project 2DFX, it was only a temporary name at the time, but we both liked it so it sticked.
When the mod did become Project 2DFX, most of my original work was gone and replaced with mostly better solutions (there's some things I'd like to change if I could go back and do it). My contribution to Project 2DFX later on was helping ThirteenAG with a lot of testing, discussing potential ideas and the additional corona stuff.
A lot of the coronas you see in Project 2DFX for SA weren't actually there in the vanilla game. Things like the bridges in SF, most of them didn't have coronas in the vanilla game, I added them. The Golden Gate bridge (I actually forgot the SA name for it), didn't have coronas in the vanilla game, I got a reference photo of the real bridge though and added coronas in the same spot for Project 2DFX.
Anyway, there are some things I skipped, but that's mostly the gist of it. After some time I gave the GTAForums thread to ThirteenAG as I do believe it's mostly his mod, I'm really proud of how it evolved however and I do think it's one of the best mods we ever got for the GTA games.
@@TJGM That's cool and thanks for the gorgeous mod. It is these small innovative ideas which lead to great mods like Project 2DFX and ultimately limit adjusters to be made by modders. I still play the old 3D games with Project 2DFX installed all the time.
I have the complete edition and 1.7.0 on ps3 there both great
TLDR: Use the complete Edition. Unless you want to play some mod, play online modded or want more performance 1.4 is more performant
Is there a way to upgrade my GTA IV to Complete edition if I own both box copies of GTA IV and EFLC so I can use FusionFix?
EDIT!!!!
OKAY I SAW SOME GUY ON GTA FORUMS SAY THAT YOU CAN ENTER GTA IV BOX CODE IN R* LAUNCHER AND YOU GET THE GAME ASSIGNED TO YOUR ACCOUNT AS COMPLETE EDITION AND IT F'IN WORKED. IT SOUNDED STUPID BECAUSE I WANTED TO DO THAT YEARS AGO THROUGH R* SUPPORT AND THEY WOULDN'T LET ME DO THAT. Im going to sleep because im tired af but tomorrow im playing TBoGT running like new.
Is these versions only on PC/Mac or is it also for the PS3? I just bought the complete edition for my ps3
I just play vanilla + fusionfix on ce, never felt like I needed to add mods.
Complete tutorial props!
Great video! I use 1.8 the most due to more mod support than CE, but I don’t like using 1.4 or 1.7 due to the VRAM being stuck at 2gb, regardless of how much you have in your GPU, and using fixes for it doesn’t seem to help
Exactly this
@@iNeverReadReplies yeah that’s how he referred to it in the video
It will still utilize more than 2gb if you put -nomemrestrict in the commandline file. Mine draws about 4.5g but the game menu is only recognizing 2gb. Just pull up your performance metrics while running the game.
1.0.7.0 with DXVK runs and looks fine for me. I own a copy on Steam but use an *ahem* alternative repack for modding and actual gameplay. It's easier and more reliable than downgrading the Steam version. The main reasons I stick with 1.0.7.0 in particular are very simple. First, all the music is there without anything extra needing to be done. Second, it's the most requested version by the more complicated mods(which is changing). Third, I have it all saved in a big folder that has followed me across three PCs and I don't want to rebuild it again, lol. Eventually I swill switch over to retail but not today, lol.
As far as the different versions go, Rockstar was playing around with the engine a lot and it shows by the drastically different performance and changing visual settings. This game confused me a lot when it was still being actively patched because it ran fine one day and terrible the next, then it ran fine again a few months later. 1.0.7.0 is actually one of the worse performing versions, but DXVK totally eliminates the differences, at least for me. I lock 120FPS on my PC at 4K, and it's not particularly special.
Is there a way to use the better radio while still being in complete edition or does it require you downgrading the game?
There's a mod to restore the radio. You can find it on the page linked below.
downgraders.rockstarvision.com/
I have a question, does the most current version of GTA IV in the Xbox One has all the radio songs or was it affected too when they removed em on PC?
Nope.
@@emmanuelibukun5398so that means that the best way to play gta 4 for someone that is gonna play it for the first time, is the gta 4 complete edition of the Xbox 360 in the series x?
@@manuelrd1592 yes. If you don't care about mods . Play on the xbox
@@emmanuelibukun5398yeah because, i just want the complete experience without any content removed.
Thank you for this kind of content! The modding community appreciates the work and hours you put into just 1 video like this. One love my brother
Thank you!
for me 1.4 shadows looks the most natural for the game. 1.4 doesnt suffer from low shadow distance and 1,4 have more graphics effects from console than later versions. Overall 1.4 is closest to console version..
what version of gta4 on steam?
@@ryfojuan7114 complete edition but there are plenty of tuturials how to downgrade to 1.4 or 1.7 with the steam version so thats not an issue
not really, shadow is smearing all over the place and some stuff doesn't emit shadow. but it's also the only version that don't have broken shader, lod and weather, so... it's pick your poison.
10 80 has better cop ai
For those who still have a physical copy of gta 4, i put in the code from the box in the rstar launcher and they gave me the dlcs and the game in my account
Nice !
I just got GTA IV CE from the rockstar games launcher and I’ve been okay with it but I do want some optimization tips (running i7 9700kf, 16 gb ram, rx 6500 xt”
1.7 Shadows,
1.4 LOD,
1.4 Emissive Shaders,
Complete Editions Radio Selection But Restored Songs And Talk Shows,

Play Multiplayer On 360 Before Its Too Late,
I have 1.0.7.0 because the old Vladivostok FM is still there, but the game runs at 30/40 fps (60 in interiors like safehouses) but if I want constant (almost everytime) 60 fps I play the 360 version on Xbox One S
