- In this tutorial I will show you how to make a easy slime farm for Minecraft 1.19 Java Edition! This farm needs to be built on a swamp biome. No slime chunks needed, no cave lighting needed! Slimes will only spawn during the night.

I saw recently in a video by ilmango, that you can use brown mushrooms to get only slimes to spawn. They emit a light level of 1 for some reason, and every mob but slime only spawns at light level 0. So if you build a roof on top and place brown mushrooms everywhere, you could improve the rates while removing all the excess items.
Hey, thanks for the comment! I'm aware of the brown mushrooms, I aimed this farm for early game use and figured that maybe getting almost 800 brown mushrooms would be too much, but of course if you are up to it, sure do it, it's worth it.
Yeah it's nuts man. I built a roof, put brown mushrooms everywhere, and my water channels are entirely magma blocks and I got nearly 4 stacks in just 10 minutes
@@EvilMango16 howd you do it? you just built a layer of grass on top and put brown mushrooms on it? can u post an unlisted video or smtg
@@ikeydweck2211 they go inside the farm itself. Mushrooms can be planted on any block as long as the light level is below 13 and not directly underneath the sky. So I kept the place torched up while I built the roof, then went back inside and put mushies everywhere removing torches as I went

I just built this in 1.19.3 survival, and with the current light level requirements for mob spawning, I was able to add one torch to each platform and got only slime spawns. Works like a charm! Went afk for 6 hours and got 8+ stacks of slime balls. Tried to figure out a way to add an iron golem over the center kill platform to draw them in for better drop rates, but with the even numbered build I couldn't make it work. Maybe I'll try something else later - for now I got what I needed. Great easy farm for early solo play though because of the SO-simple material list. Thanks again Kmond!
where do you put the torches?
Tip: DO NOT use dirt blocks, endermen will take them and ruin your farm

To make it fast we have to ad a golam in center because this farms works but slow I see slime spawns but don't go in center only some slime go

I've got a big swamp that's super active, so I'm putting 4 of these in a cluster. Does the AFK spot still work with multiple farms?
Sorry for the late reply, this should work! Of course keep in mind that the 128 block spawn radius is in the shape of a orb, so if you are getting less spawns, just lower the AFK spot :)
Using that y level to AFK, mobs will spawn outside the farm. Should I move it up a few blocks?

Hi, sorry for the late reply! As long as the spawning platforms are somewhere between Y-Levels 50-70 it should work! Of course keep in mind that if the caves are loaded the mobs have a chance to spawn there instead of the farm which will of course lower the slime rates.

Hi. I suggest you to build a farm based on a video where the creator is actually talking about a slime chunk farm. Another thing, If I know it right, you should build your farm between y: 40 and 30, so it's the most efficient.

maybe it's FullBright which makes it so it looks like its the max light level everywhere even though its not

will it work on a normal slime chunk without swamp biome ?
slimes spawn below level 40 in slime chunks so I would definitely do a farm that is designed for slime chunks instead of this one.
For the afk spot, you go 127 blocks up from the water but don’t you have to go up from the grass in the farm itself?
no because when the slimes go into the water they will despawn

is it neccessary to build it in swamp biome? can i build it in slime chunk in other biomes except swamp?
if you find a slime chunk, it's surely not 2x2 chunks so I recommend you building a farm made for a slime chunk which is way more efficient than this
This tuto is made more for the people that can't/don't know how to find slime chunks by using a swamp

yes slime chunk based farms are faster

use slabs and place them all outside the farm to make it so no mobs can spawn

in 1 night i got 0 slimeballs LMFAO i made it on 1.19.2 and it doesnt work,i will wait some more nights there and i will update ya guys if it works
doesnt work at all ( im on aternos server and i did the exact steps,the first hour i got 1 stack then it completely stopped spawning slimes)

check chunkbase to see if its a slime chunk

Couple things, make sure that you are in the four chunks, the outside wall should be block out of the chunk, your afk spot should be roughly y=90 and make sure it is not an empty moon
Every single "Simple / Easy" minecraft farm requires you to afk around 120 blocks above. Kinda bs. What's the point of playing the game when you have to afk above every single farm XD
then dont make the farm
That's literally the point of farms so nothing else spawns near you and it increases the spawn rate
This tutorial wastes a lot of time and blocks by having the builder use X to build the channels, place water in them, and then replace the water-covered blocks with magma blocks. Should have built with magma to begin with.
There's a lot of things that are a waste of time. For example, you posting this comment because you're lazy.
