It's not just two separate songs splice together one after another, this is literally one of the most perfect blends of two different songs I've heard! In my head, Bring Me is this era's Linkin Park. Not better, not replacing, but that heavy rock/metal band that has a vocalist that just screams emotion and connects to the soul. Oli and BMTH being huge fans of LP obviously influenced this album, but to me Oli and the boys of BMTH picked up Chester's torch. And this is coming from someone who was only 7 when Hybrid Theory dropped, it was my first album, and I still have the same CD my dad bought back then to this day. I still get choked up hearing Chester most of the time, so needless to say he was and will always be a huge influence in my life, but to me, BMTH is the only band that gave huge respect to Chester and to Linkin Park as a whole by following Chester's footsteps and trying new sounds and spilling their hearts out, tackling dark or tough subjects, and making music they want. They didn't just cover a song, get some clicks, and call it a day. They are living and creating in the shadow of Chester and LP.
I know people will always gripe and disagree purely out of devout loyalty to LP and Chester, and I get it, 100% I do, and I feel that too, but I also cannot express into words how BMTH has helped that hole in my heart left in the wake of Chester's passing. I always liked BMTH, but more and more especially with each new album where they just make something new that they are super passionate about. Because that's exactly what Chester did.
BMTH is filling the niche that LP left empty, and it's doing it very well, and perhaps in a more up-to-date way.
@@kaai_guy I think Oli, who looked up to Chester very much, made a silent Vow, to live like Chester wanted to,and just ignore the negative. Chester wanted to make all sorts of music snd collab with all sorts of artists, but often got a lot of flak for it despite being one of the best vocalists alive and capable of making great music in any genre.
So, after his untimely passing, I think Oli swore to follow in his foot steps, to make whatever music they want to make, and to be as positive as they can,as well as help introduce the world to artists they might not have heard of yet via collabs.
Oli even said the first time he was on the cover of a magazine was in the crowd at Linkin Park's concert at the Royale Albert Hall. So you know LP means the world to him and the band. And that's also very clear by the heavy LP influence on their latest album.
Okay except Oli is British and was 8 when Linkin Park came out. He's been in BMTH for one year shy of 20 years. The music they used to put out is NOTHING like Linkin Park not by a LONGSHOT. IN FACT BMTH sounds NOTHING like they used to sound. They are going the sell out path. I don't think Oli is doing shit to honor Chester. I think he's following the money, and bless Linkin Park but guess what? They did the same thing. They abandoned what made them stand out in the first place and started listening to their Hollywood agent that told them to change their music to better suit the general population. They followed the money and left behind their individuality. RIP Chester, keep going Shinoda, but don't go making stupid fucking comparisons like this. You are living in a dream. Sorry to shit on your day.

Nobody can ever replace Linkin Park or Chester for me, but BMTH definitely does a good job filling in the shoes left empty when we lost Chester while still being different enough to be their own band instead of just a ripoff

@@rorybessell8280 I think taking inspiration means that when you do your own thing you can take some elements from other artists because you like how they work in your song. If you straight up recreate old songs with a slightly different twist to them - that's a ripoff. This song and teardrops are not just linkin park-ish, they are just linkin park copy-pasted. Which sounds cool and feels nostalgic but when you give it a second thought it's kinda disappointing imo
