I bought this album on cassette when I moved to California. My rock band was playing on the weekends in Hollywood & during the week I was climbing ladders painting with a Walkman listening to this cassette over and over.

"Take me from myself and make me new" As a teen you and Petra really had my attention on Christ because you used a popular tool, music, to preach truth to our generation....Thank you my brother.
Best vocals ever! Up there with Steve Walsh, Mark Farner, etc. Thank you for not selling out and loving God through the years!!! You gave us a lot of great music!

This was a great period in Christian rock: Petra, Mastedon, Sacred Warrior, Bloodgood, Barren Cross, Crystavox, Halo, John Elefante, Recon, X-Sinner, Detritus, Sacrament, The Brave, Fear Not, Stryper, Deliverance, Savior Machine, Guardian, _____________ (add your own).
...John Elefante, Whiteheart, Altar Boys, The 77's, Malcolm and the Mirrors, AD - Kerry Livgren, + 20 more at least ! (I have 500+ CDs...still) This was long before PC Groupthink usurped Individual creativity & vision. Great songs are born out of struggles fought & won in the Power of GOD -
Barnabas, Resurrection Band, Servant, Sweet Comfort Band, Bryan Duncan, Allies, Vector, Charlie Peacock, First Strike, Crumbacher, Andy McCarroll and Moral Support, Quickflight, Jerusalem to add some more to the other two lists. . . we could add hundreds more here. . .
Please let me know if Greg is going to be in the Central Pennsylvania area please. I remember being a bit disappointed (Okay, a whole lot) at Creation 86'. Petra was one of the only bands that could accurately paraphrase the Bible through music. I got to meet everyone else on that day. It was definitely a different kind of era after that and I did get to see Greg with background tracks at a small church years later. Would be nice to see everyone together again, but I understand. It's about the only way to get people to reply. And Gregg helped to pioneer Christian rock. That's something to be proud of, but I'm sure it's just a footnote in his life at this point, just a small part of his life. Sorry to be offensive.

Loved this CD. Probably the best of GxV but then I am an 80's child.
That is surely Louie Weaver on drums and the keyboard player is most probably John Lawry. Both from Petra.
