Its head turned to face the pristine castle up ahead. The palace was so well kept and majestic, in sharp contrast to the crumbling streets filled with the long decayed bodies of the people too poor to even have a grave. Not enough to live in life, and not enough to rest in death. _Not enough..._ The *Broken One* muttered hoarsely. _Not enough..._ It dragged the holy sword across the cobblestone road, further damaging the already broken floor. Broken just like itself. The *Broken One* will soon reach its destination, and also its destiny. To slay the King, the Tyrant, the Uncaring Ruler. _Soon..._ Its voice slowly faded away as it left the corpse ridden streets. "In times of darkness they seek light In times of hate they will fight In times of war they all die. In times of despair I shall rise." -The Broken One, Son of None.
A hero tainted with blood, wounds, and darkness that made them beyond recognition. Their face torn.. Jaw hanging by a thread of flesh. All hope seems to be lost as the villain that was enshrouded in darkness stood before them with a grin of satisfaction. The darkness of the villain filling the heros pure soul, corrupting and tainting it. A crazed look filling the heros eyes.. The villain's grin vanished as they got pushed away by a blast of the darkness they thought only they could harness. The smoke of a black fog cleared.. The hero standing, he was no longer recognizable, barely even human. Darkness engulfing his body and limbs.. No longer a hero, but not a villain, only a crazed *Broken* mind that was held together by a shred of determination tainted by the grasp of darkness.

If this was a bossfight: -You then switch to the boss's pov. -The final boss is now the character you made along the way. Stats, build, and whatever tricks and moves you learned. -Playing as the original boss, you have all the moves of the boss. -It's mostly a fight for survival, to just outlast your enemy, but it's hopeless either way. -If the "hero" wins, then the world is doomed to a genocidal rampage by the Broken One. After some time, the Broken One's name is forgotten, and the last few remaining shreds of humanity, possibly even it's family, die. It no longer has a purpose. So it wanders. -If the former boss wins, the world is subjected to a cruel and iron-fist rule. The people who refuse to listen are mass-executed, and families are forced to watch. The children are brainwashed into thinking that everything is okay, and this is just how life is. Any sign of rebellion, and the child will be "taken away." -So you inevitably choose: The lives of the world, gone? Or pain and suffering under an unstoppable dictator?
