I actually added the violin way later on, I’d added the rain and remembered how nice violin usually sounds with rain, so I did that, then thought to also have it play with the guitar’s bit in the final chorus

The piano and breakbeat at the start remind me of the Lust layer, the violin reminds me of ORDER and the organ of Gabriel. That's my thought process at least

fl studio is incredibly powerful, but to get used to music theory you can totally try beep box or musescore, they're both free, only get fl if you know you're gonna use it as it's expensive

And also where do you even find these sounds, from what i could tell FL studio (which is what ur using if im correct) lets you download custom sounds to use in patterns, though i have NO IDEA where to start looking, so uh ya if you tell me where you got the sounds used in this that would be cool :D
yes I use fl studio, I use the ultimate sound font pack (which is free where I got it) for instruments and there are plenty of amen breaks around, I use one from jungle jungle most of the time, and then just use fruity slicer to use it in patterns

simply: I fucked around and found out
more specifically: playing the theme on piano to find chords then adding noise, first the bass guitar, then some of the sfx, then the pipe organ, amen break, choir, overdrive guitar and bass synth, and rain effect, the violin was very last minute as I remembered violin sounds nice with rain
that’s as much as I remember, I was on 0 hours of sleep and 30mg of adhd meds
