  • I found this fantastic stretchy band song on the @mglibert CZcams channel, linked here: • Stretchy Band Song
The lyrics to the first verse are:
    “Bounce bounce
    Bounce bounce
Hold on the band and go
    Bounce bounce
    Bouncing to the beat
    Bouncing to the beat”
And then you just change “bounce bounce” to “up down” “in out” and “side side” for the remaining verses.
This song is perfect for lower elementary, but older kids are sure to enjoy it as well.
You can purchase a stretchy band from Bear Paw Creek through retailers like Amazon and West Music.

I spotted this song last year. It's awesome!!!! Wish they had printed music for it somewhere!

I really like it too :) Not sure if there's printed music for it anywhere but I played it in C, alternating between a I and a IV chord in the left hand and playing the melody in the right hand. The melody line is GE GE AAAAGE GE DDDCBC DDDCBC.

I have tried to get hold of MGilbert also, but no luck. I had it play once for me, but now it just keeps trying to load and will not load or play... ☹

Wow! I love this song and how you are leading it! Would you ever consider creating a keyboard recording for purchase to sing and move to?

Is this your normal class size?? How heavenly! My smallest class is 26 this year, and I have between 30-35 K and 1st graders so my stretchy band is way too small. Your students did a wonderful job!

You’re so welcome! I just use hand towels on the tubanos to bring the volume down a bit. Still loud, but better!

Hi William, this is cute. I'll have to get one and try it with my students. Would you recommend the large or xl band?

I got the extra large one which is about perfect for my classes of 20-27ish students. You can find it here: www.westmusic.com/kids-movement/movement-props/stretchy-bands/540030

The melody line is GE GE AAAAGE GE DDDCBC DDDCBC (shouldn't the pattern actually be AAAAGF GE ???) My ears hear it that way
