I've often felt we could use more autumn songs and so I wrote this little tune. It is an additive song (it gets longer each verse). Try adding the instruments for an extra layer of fun. Also, the little recorder tune that you hear during the "pat your legs" sections is very playable. (G A G F#, E D E D)

This is my FAVORITE Fall lesson activity. I do it with 1st through 3rd and they love it. Every year.

So... I've just had to rearrange most of my lesson plans last minute since we are not permitted to do anything Halloween related at school. Thank goodness for this song and pumpkin waltz so I don't have to spend more time redoing lesson plans. THANK YOU THANK YOU! Plus it saves my voice a bit. :)

LOVE this!!!! I worked on this song with my junior ASD class today and everyone enjoyed it and engaged with it so well. I used it with visuals for what instrument went with what lyric-e.g a picture of the jacket with a picture of the corresponding instrument. I loved it so much that I really want to find a similar winter/xmas one (ideally 6 instruments)!!!

I just found your music last week and subscribed today. I teach piano lessons at home with beginner & intermediate students. Recently I added music enrichment time with 2 special needs girls and I'm using some of your ideas for combining music & motion and rhythm instruments. Thanks for sharing your ideas for FREE. By the way I just watched "Through the Storm" sung by your 5th graders! Perfect lyrics & tune to capture 2020 & 2021! (and the kids sounded great too!)

Thank you , Evelyn! I used a green screen to get the autumn background. For the instruments that pop up, I used the image over image feature in iMovie. It allows you to layer and resize one video over another. Maybe one of these days I'll do an iMovie tutorial!

Mr. Delgaudio I must confess I have stolen many of your songs to teach to my students! I'm currently teaching K-5 music and band here in Tucson, Arizona. You are an excellent teacher and musician and I appreciate your willingness to share your original songs with all of us! I taught this one and "Johnny Grim" to my students last week, "black and gold" to older kids the week before, and I am going to look through your channel some more for inspiration for my remote learning lessons for this week. I think it could work all the way up from K-5. You can just sing it with hand motions, or have everyone cover one instrument, or for the older kids have them each cover multiple instruments!

Would you do this with K and 1? I LOVE it and used it with grades 3-5 last year but I really want to find something that my whole school can sing as a "hello" type opening song each week of October. Then I thought I could give them instruments for the parts once they learn it well.
