We need more lady's like you in this world Miss. Seriously you walked by that trucky 1 time and deconstructed more pertinent things about it right off the bat than most of the other truck channels out there . Great analysis, and thank you.
It is interesting how it looks almost identical to my 1999 Z71 underneath completed from the front diff and transfer case skid plates to the aluminum driveshaft and stainless exhaust, all from the factory, it is insane what they want for new trucks when you can get a similar one a few decades old for a couple grand!
its a 40k truck tops..i like how its supposed to be our job to buy someone another beach house..because making 100 mil a year and owning 5 houses just isnt enough
Anyone who can't swing a 60 month (or less) payment on the loan definitely can't afford this truck. Only a complete idiot would finance any vehicle for more than 5 years.
This was a fun review. I enjoy it when you can get away from home. Having Charlie giving his impression was icing on the cake. I look forward to the full review. BTW, I really like how your humor never includes sarcasm or is at the expense of another person. Yep, pretty awesome.
When the 2019 Silverado came out, I thought it was the ugliest truck ever. As they refresh it, especially the interior, it's not as bad. Would I buy one? Probably not. But it's nice to see they listened to their customers and the auto journalists for once. To the people complaining about the price, while it isn't cheap, you actually get more usable content with these packages, ie. ZR2, Rebel, Tremor, etc.
I just bought one (2023) just like this in Summit White. Love it! Being a former Cadillac CTS-V owner, I would definitely echo you here... It needs a supercharger! That Caddy was a HOSS!
Happy Humpday Sarah!!! That thing has a great sounding exhaust note for sure, longtubes would definitely enhance it further, letting everyone hear the sound of the gearhead people. 😁 Charlie: "What if I wanna do burnouts?!"🤣 The dirt road looked like a blast, the back road to Inde Motorsports Ranch is pretty fun like that. High 5 to Charlie! Stay excellent!!!😎
Another great review, Sarah. I appreciate the fact that you take the time to notice your surroundings, when you're in a new place. That truck has a pretty bad ass sounding exhaust, right from the factory. BTW...those sharp rocks that you picked up look like what Native Americans used to make arrow heads. Keep the reviews coming. I really like your style.
2:17 Probably a Canadian. Multimatic is a global Canadian company in Markham, Ont. that has been up to its hips in F1 for decades. We built all your GT-40s for you here in Ontario. I love the sound of that V-8! I thought Detroit had put that sound away forever.
$70k for pushrods? I did, however, love the sound of the exhaust note during the highway acceleration test. Made me reminisce of the 1971 movie Vanishing Point. Maybe time for a remake. Sarah and Charlie running from the cops across the Arizona and Nevada deserts in a Chevy Silverado ZR2.
@@mikec9112 The point is cars with turbos, twin turbos, and a variety of belts and chain timing systems (OHC) and VVT and hi pressure fuel injection have had a lot of issues, for example BMW, Audis, and even Japanese engines. Most is this is a race for HP or gas mileage often at the hand of the EPA. Toyota is often the last to take on the newest tech for this reason until the kinks are worked out.
I have to disagree with the work truck grille. Haven't liked the big "CHEVROLET" across the front since they brought it out in 2019. But otherwise, great video as always. That is a mean-looking truck, and the interior is greatly improved with the refresh.
DONT LIKE THE CYLINDER DEACTIVATEN, THAT IN IT SELF DESTROYS THE ENGINE OVER TIME... MY OPINION CHEVY CONTINUES TO GO DOWN HILL, AND THAT PRICE, I CAN BUY A SMALL HOUSE.. SO NO.. SARAH YOUR A GEM..
I believe that huge gap between the front clip and the radiator is now mandated in trucks, for pedestrian safety. It's designed to break away to reduce injury to a pedestrian if struck. If you look at all the recently released trucks, they all have a gap there.
What about the meataball score? Lol These first drive reviews are kinda neat. They definitely make for a different kind of review. I like them. Thanks for sharing them with us. Have fun take care
There's just nothing like the sound of a real, naturally-aspirated, pushrod-having, big ol' American V8. Enjoy it while it lasts, because these engines are a dying breed. That's definitely one part of this truck that will last nearly forever with proper maintenance. 300K miles easy, and potentially double that if you really take care of it. Honestly, that's probably the best feature of this truck, IMHO.
New chevys sweet. Under hood can see inside of fender.easy to spray old diesel engine oil in there.once a year.and all boxed in areas repel future rust. Just don't park on ur friends blacktop driveway for a couple weeks
I uncontrollably laughed multiple times. The first was the Pole Position sounds, the second had be really going when you dropped the Letter Kenny line ... Allegedly! I love your videos and look forward to your zany humor.
nice to see a Charlie make another appearance. As for a dinosaur name for a Chevy, Triceratops and Ankylosaurus were pretty badass. Torosaurus was another triceratops relative.
@@nielsdebakker3283 hardly, everyone has had so many problems with the newer twin turbos, turbos, high pressure fuel systems, variable valve timing, these older pushrod engines have proven to be extremely reliable and easy to maintain.
I'll bet that the front skid plate is iron or steel. Aluminum is too soft for that situation. Stick a magnet to it in an area where there is nothing on the other side.
The only thing I don't like about new Silverados is that it won't shift out of park unless the seatbelt is buckled. When working on vehicles there are occasions when I need it in neutral and running, and because I'm on the clock I need that to happen with as little f---ing around as possible. That aside they are pretty cool, that one sounds awesome!
I dont want to get in a Ford /Chev fight but my 2021 F150 3.5 is rate at 400h.p and 500lbs torque at about 3500rpm and i am very please with fuel milage just came back from a road trip 3200k.m and averaged about 8-10 liters per 100k.m work out to about 24to 28 mile per gallon US most of the trip was mountains highways my last fill was showing 1100 k.m to empty 683 miles and it very close to been right it a 130 litre tank 34 gallon
Thanks for getting under it and shooting angles I’ve not seen yet. I’ve ordered one and it should be here in the next couple weeks, and have been watching all the videos from the last couple days and no one has bothered to get under it and film, so, thanks.
Just over 1 bean is not enough Sarah, seriously. This Chevy truck is Bad Ass. Needs at least 4 beans. Hopefully when you do a full review you will rate it a little more appropriately. Love your channel and all what you do. Thanks
Glad to see that Chevy finally put in fender liners in a truck. Probably just because of that hotdog hole. Shocking how long they made trucks with no liners. Kind of like the solid rear axle on the Mustang that hung around for way too long. I like the way these trucks drive but the visibility out of them is really shite. Feels like a chop top. You hop in a Ram and suddenly you can see the world again which is what you want on those long road trips. The boxy rear is rather clunky as well. I think it is time for a big clean sheet on the body with that amazing drive line. Love the review as usual.
Sarah that's old gold mine country the stones you where playing with are hypothermia sand stone there's a story of a old muleskinner / frieght by wagon who found high value ores in that area
My friend has a 2021 with the 6.2 and around 5 thousand had a lifter collapse and bent a rod.Hopefully they have fixed the engine problems on that engine. They had a lot of problems with that. Some engineer at chevy trying to save money
If an engineer is trying to save money to that degree it is because accounting told them to. At least that has been this engineer's experience. **shakes fist**
I do enjoy when you have passengers for the breaking test. When Sarah tests the breaks it’s a full on test. The only think that was missing was Charlie doing a bolster test. Overall I love the sound of that V8 and I look forward for a full review.
And Charlie said (what if I want to do burnouts) HHAAAAA spoken like a true gear head.

Makes me not wanna get a truck
Thanks Sarah. Also for letting Charley answer the age old question for a curious few. I hope they were paying attention.
You too can spend $700 a month for 700 months to own this beast. And to keep it on the road you will have to spend $800 a month in gas!! What a deal!
BC don't forget parts &labor ( tax included) on a gm product yikes no thanks maybe they will move to China, oh yea they did 😀
its a 40k truck tops..i like how its supposed to be our job to buy someone another beach house..because making 100 mil a year and owning 5 houses just isnt enough
Works for me.. and it will get better gas milage than my Raptor.. although that makes no difference really..
Anyone who can't swing a 60 month (or less) payment on the loan definitely can't afford this truck. Only a complete idiot would finance any vehicle for more than 5 years.
Definitely took note of the fact you can lock up the rear in two-wheel drive I agree that's a nice thing to have
I’m picturing Charlie’s beard shooting forward like your hair does on the braking test. 😂
I absolutely love that sweater

Sarah is my go to chick when it comes to car infotainment🤟😎👍
Think I'm appreciating your sense of humour more and more , makes your reviews fun

Pushrod engines are much more reliable than overhead cam engines and are still plenty powerful. Lots of chain and belt issues in driving OHC.

We likes the Charlie. Glad you brought one with you.
Charlie during the braking test 😆
I did a muffler delete on a Silverado ZR2 on my channel! Cool truck! WIll definitely be putting out a lot of content on it over the summer!
It sounds great v6 turbos cant compete haha

Thank you for being your amazingly entertaining, informative self.
I can see JC going, "What Charlie?"
Thats a unique fact about the designer duo couple thats pretty dope and haven't heard anyone else say it in their video, nice video 👍
Was that a Neature Walk with Lenny Pepperbottom reference from Charlie? Hilarious! Great job once again Sarah.
That's pretty neat!
Yessss!

Great review. Gotta love V-8 sound
The wiper cowl sheet metal is removable for service. Makes taking the intake off pretty easy.
Always a bit hyper when Charlies around
Nice 😎
Happy Easter you two 🇺🇸🐣🏴🐣🏁🐣
"A drunk Parrot" That was my exact thought!
Way off topic. Hey Charlie nice shirt, my gramps retired from Ernie Ball back in the 80's making guitars.
I loved the video and the most introductory thing is bob bob 😂

Modern GM V8's have issues left and right. Unless your talking about ones from 15-20 years ago.
ZR2 to compete against ford tremor, trd pro, ram rebel. Thoughts should be directed to that vehicle type
Best review, love the random scenery stops. An excellent sounding truck one of the top five sounds.

Pushrod V-8 very innovative.
yes you can use the rear locker on the raptor in 2wd
Sarah the explorer! I like it!
Ah, California. I heard more bird songs recently. Nice Review Sarah.
This truck is a beast! Best sounding V8 around! 🇺🇸🙏☘️
I agree, but not surprised, because after all, it is a bad ass Chevy.
Nope
Aaaaaaahhh.... My week isn't complete without a Sarah video 😊😊

2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 ZR2 Crew Cab 4X4!

If you flip up the screen on the info tainment center you can get to the last 4 injectors and spark plugs super easy.🤭🤸♂️
Clever!
At that price, I think I'd settle for a Trail Boss and modify it how I like... with more power, too!
Of only the TB would come with at least a rear e locker
I love this atruck and saw a few refews on ut, but your wad by far the most informent.... ! Thanks

A wild Charlie appeared! Sarah used Big Fast Truck. It's super effective!
Looks like a Rock Crusher for making aggregates to add to asphalt or cement..
thanks
Nice truck!!!! Great Review smiley!!!! Love your content
If you bring a service truck to an off-road review it makes you wonder how reliable it is.
Or how much they trust motoring journalists!
Best to have it and not need it then to need it and not have it.
Most likely it's for tires and for when Journalists YEET the thing too hard.
Or it's an industry standard
It's the lawsuit 10 speed

That is a great point about the lack of winch space, or opening, WTF????
Wow, That truck sounds like a sportscar when you give it 'The Beans' and when you were driving on the pavement. I like your modification ideas. LOL
Awesome sound to that Zr2. 6.2 L of LS awesomeness. Way better than a hemi
